Figured I would start one for this show. It has been a pleasant surprise watching and we cant wait for Ep 6. 5 really blew me away and makes me really wonder where Phase 4 is going.

  2. This set is great, Toys R Us wants $129.99, Amazon $124.99, I paid $103.00 at Toys R Us 25% Off sale, so they will be going back. Costco is 2 miles up the road, so i will be loading up on these. http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/generations-titan-metroplex-coming-soon-to-a-costco-near-you-for-7999/28391/

  3. So I've noticed recently that LEGO has been making several changes. Some may be good, some may be bad, but they don't exactly hurt us as investors, except for maybe #3 which is could technically. But let me know if you have some more to add to the list, or is it just me that these things are happening? 1) Condensed boxes. It seems like that the most recent sets I got were almost bigger. This may be because the boxes themselves were smaller to actually fit the set better. I'm not POSITIVE, but I am pretty sure that boxes for most sets (except for battlepacks or $13 sets) have gotten smaller and are a better fit with the set you buy. A couple years ago, I remember buyi…

Interesting Video posted on CNN today 'A 3-D printer created this shoe'. I'm impressed with the 16 different printing colors and the fact it can print in two different plastics - ABS and compostable PLA. Legos are made of ABS, although I doubt the exact formula is known (often extra ingredients are added to change the plastic properties). 3D Printing in Vibrant Colors and ABS plastic Interesting that today is 3/18 and the video says it was added on 3/31! You too can see the future, lol Color Cartridge info The cartridges start at $49 and the printer is $1,299. I still think it will be decades until it could compete with Lego's price per piece (if ever!…

Just curious, what my fellow Lego fans do when they're not building or scouring the internet for deals. I'm a Heavy Equipment Mechanic which sadly cuts too much into my investing time.

Just a cool update on who is going to play batman in the upcoming moving Superman and Batman. Ben affleck is going to take the role as batman! This is according to yahoo and other sources. So what's your opinion on him playing batman?

  8. So reading the telegraph today and came across this article. So living in a faith based house, and it being 75% Polish, this dominated the morning discussion. Good Times, and yes I made half of the breakfast for the people that are wondering.

Just wondering if any of you received your Spring Lego Catalogs yet? Today, I received my JANUARY one and am kind of upset since it took so long. I am guessing that the Spring one is coming out soon if it isn't out yet, and I have seen a couple threads mentioning already-received catalogs... I hope my Spring one doesn't take 3 months to get to me... BTW Just saw a new little tips for before posting a new forum topic. Here is the direct quote:

E3 2013 is officially churning out all the news gamers have been waiting to hear. PS4 vs Xbox One! Looks like a good fight. And the games... I want Watch Dogs right now. But I'll probably play it on a PS4. If you haven't been paying attention to Microsoft lately, listen to this: Xbox One will not universally support pre-owned game discs. This includes retail, rentals, and even your friend's copy. It will require an internet verification once every 24 hours. So, you can't play it without broadband. No, not even single player. The games may require installation to the hard drive or a cloud, at the publisher's discretion. Xbox One is not backwards compatible with 360…

  13. Ok, I need to vent. I've got friends here, and this is a good a place as any. Settle in, I have story to tell. My sister's wedding is this weekend. I decided to buy a nice watch for my future brother-in-law. Found it on Amazon, and ordered it back in August. Received the watch. Watch is left new, unused, in original packaging. Wasn't cheap, $1600. A few weeks go by, I talk with my future brother-in-law, and decide another, different gift would be more appropriate. He's not really a watch guy, and this isn't a cheap watch. I contact Amazon, requesting a return around the first of the month. Amazon informs me sale was from a third party, they have to authorize ret…

  15. What is your favorite College Football team - or who do you root for? I am from Kentucky and went to the university of Louisville so I am a big UofL fan. Coming in ranked in the top 10. If I wasn't spoiled enough, I live in Alabama and they have always been my close second place team as most of my cousins attended the school. They are ranked number 1 coming off 3 championships in 4 years! Let's hear it - who do you root for?

Are you guys noticing the Lego isles are looking pretty pathetic in the past 2 weeks? I've been to several Walmarts in Canada and half to 3/4 of the shelves are empty! The only thing that seems to be in-stock are the new Star Wars, City and Friends sets. TRU have decent amount of stock, but then Nov/Dec is their bread and butter so I assume they arranged to make sure to have lots of inventory on hand. Kind of frustrating when I cannot even find small sets like the Minecraft The Dungeon in 5 Walmarts! Nearest TRU is OOS.

Simple question, who else on here is over 30? I see a ton of posts that reference to being born in the 80's... I was born in 1977, and I am currently 35 (still act 5).

Just making a friendly reminder for everyone, whether you are a fan of the show or not, to make a note of this very special episode (550th one I might add) that will happily coincide with the release of the Minifigures series for The Simpsons. Via The Brick Fan

I didn't like their style of presenting, but as of yesterday YouTube has taken down The BrickShow's channel: The YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement. Word on the street is that this is due to several videos showing confidential images and set news in the recent past. They have 450k subscribers - I do hope their account gets reinstated at some point because they did cover older sets that Jang doesn't review. On the subject of Jang, he recently detailed why he doesn't review everything. Reason #1 was surprising to me: Eyyy I haven't forgotten about LEGO Friends…

  24. Just want to put a quick congrats out to TheOrcKing for obtaining more than 100,000 Brickpoints. He has put in a ton of hard work gather thousands of data bits for the Brickpicker price guide as well as submitting reviews, blog articles, etc. Will he cash in his points and get a Tower of Orthanc?

  25. I have to say I just might do it! I have a busy social calender this weekend but I may make the time and drag my GF to see it. I hardly ever go the movie theatres anymore and almost never to an opening night or weekend. I tend to wait a few weeks for the crowds to die down for the movies I really want to see. But I do intend to see this movie on the big screen! *Sorry, maybe wrong forum....
