This was just posted on the Brick Show yesterday. I know there have been rumors about it for awhile and this set is not yet confirmed, but it sounds promising!

Ok, we all wanted a Smaug, and we all wanted him to be big, I am not sure if the model they had at comic con is the final version or not but I assume it is. Has anyone else noticed that he is larger than any previous dragon from Lego? I was playing around with my Nephew a few months back and he has the 2013 Dragon mountain as well as one of the Dino T Rex's and I noticed that the T Rex body was a LOT bigger than the dragons. I thought, "if they wanted to make Smaug right, they need to use the T Rex body piece instead of the tiny dragon one" it looks like Smaug not only has a modified T Rex body piece but larger, flexible wings as well, something else I thought would…

Several LEGO fan websites are reporting a new Hobbit set called The Lake Town Chase. The set will retail for $49.99 with 334 pieces, and 5 minifigures: Bilbo Baggins, Thorin, Bard, the Master of Lake Town, and one guard. It's a very nice little set, but it has a high price tag for the amount of pieces that are included. Never the less, I'll be picking it up eventually. Scheduled release is December 2013! Personally, I'm not that impressed by the set, as it is pretty barren looking, and doesn't have too much "filling". Oh well.

Surprised this one doesn't have a thread yet, as I see it mentioned a bunch in other threads. Most people think it's an investment winner? Is there a sniff of EOL coming soon? I notice the S&**** site has a limit of 1. So - worth paying retail or a small discount? For some reason I am just not convinced on this one yet, maybe because I am not a huge LOTR fan...

There is already some speculation as to the shelf life of this set albeit a newer one. I was wondering what everyone thought about this set. It is somewhat overpriced being 430 pieces but msrp of $59.99 instead of $49.99. No other set however has the Ringwraiths yet nor does it look like any other set will so far. Merry is exclusive to the set and the Frodo contains an exclusive variation which I think is just his cape is different. Aragorn is in one other set. The horses are exclusive variations I believe. It is oos on Barnes and Noble.com (other sellers selling high), limit 1 per customer at Lego.com, and looks like Amazon itself isn't selling (other sellers not A…

Looks like we will be getting a new ship this year!! Pretty EPIC looking from what I can see (if anyone has better pics please post). This will be one of the best LOTR sets yet! http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-lord-of-the-rings-pirate-ship-ambush-79008-first-look/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+LegoEverlasting-LegoReviewsNews+(The+Brick+Fan+-+LEGO+Reviews+&+News)

Over here in Spain I have seen in most toy stores 6 of the 7 LOTR themed sets. The one that's missing is the Orc Forge. Amazon's got it as an "exclusive" set, is that true?

I just found one Battle at the Black Gate at Target in the Clearance aisle for 30% off ($39.98). After surfing the eBay listings on this one, it appears to be a nice set to part out. Most of them are selling this set parted out like so (with an estimate of eBay's BIN sold auction prices): 1. Black gate by itself (will allow buyer to double the size of the current Black Gate) - $25-30 2. Mouth of Sauron fig w/ horse - $15-$17 3. Gandalf the White fig - $10-11 4. Eagle maxi-fig - $10-14 5. Aragorn fig - $9-11 6. Orc figs (2) - $10 That's between $79-93, not bad for a $40 purchase. Seems like a no-brainer, right? Yet with all these exclusive figs, …

According to the link below, we may have a new wave of LOTR to look forward to: Link I will be interested to see pictures of these, but they already sound better than the forthcoming Hobbit sets. I would have hoped for a much larger Minas Tirith set though.

It seems to me that this set has not a great appeal Helm's Deep seems to be a great winner in the secondary market Considering that you can build Helm's with Uruk-Hai Army, is possible that will be a demand exceeding expectations for Uruk due to this reason?

I have four of these now, I purchased them for about $60 on average ($55 after CC discounts ect), I thought the deals were too good to pass up but after seeing this set slump by, I have to wonder if I will ever get my money back. I know I have my own investment strategy here and getting stuff for as cheap as possible is part of it, but I am curious what your thoughts on this set. It is the biggest of its lineup, but if it isn't a disappointing set, I don't know what is. What are your thoughts on this set?

A special editon Blu-Ray+DVD+UltraViolet combo pack will be available from Target stores on March 19th and will retail for $24.99. You can preorder it from their website here. I found this from an article on The Brick Fan a week or so ago and everytime I try and post it something always distracts me!

Here is pic that's been spreading around the web a bit of a Lego Nazgul displayed at a Lego Store. Do you think this is a local MOC or a sign of something to come with the next wave? Hmmm, would this be a good for the resale of Attack on Weathertop, or is this a sign of more Ringwraiths being released?
