Hello BrickPickers... With the increased site traffic and the new Brick Classifieds forum launching soon, we have asked jaisonline and Bold-Arrow to be moderators. They have graciously accepted. Jeff is finishing up the Brick Classifieds and it looks and works great(He showed me this morning). We will be adding a few more moderators once the Brick Classifieds site and forum go live, preferably members that will be active on the Brick Classifieds and will be able to instruct others on how to use the Brick Classifieds and inform new users about the rules and regulations. Just a quick note that the April and May (2014) Data is now available. I am just going to ask that you still give me a day or so to filter through some stuff. This is basically "hot off the presses", so there may be some anomalies that I find and filter out. For the LEGO virtual investing game going on, if you do an update that is fine, let people know where they are, but again, I may ask you to re-run it in a day or two. as others (not being in US region) Im quite disappointed that BP for the course of the past year is unable to display "avg prices" for a lot of sets outsde the US region. Im familiar with methodics that there has to be some relevant amount of sets being sold (cca 50 or so) to publish some relevant information.. but what should I think of the situation when the first wave of BrickHeadz for the last 6 months HAS NOT GOTTEN any EU, UK or AUS relevant price???? These items are being sold on the espective ebay sites. And not liike "two per month".. Jeff and Ed should rent out a building for the day and hold a BP Con. Anyone else for this? We could finally see what Ed Mack really looks like. (We'd go blind from over exposure to awesomeness!!) As I mentioned in a post a few days ago, we are ending the Brickpoints program here on Brickpicker. Ending Brickpoints was both and easy and a hard decision for Ed and I. We really like the points program and have generated dozens of ideas for how to earn them and how to spend them. Of course Brickpoints was going to play a large focus in Brick Classifieds until we really started to ask the questions of how we wanted to do things in the future. Getting feedback, seeing what people are doing on the site all start to help you make changes and move in a new direction. I am posting a link to a Twitter feed I setup for the Daily Deals. This is new and I have tied it into some of the processes I have been creating for the updated Daily Deals section. Many of the main sites are in there (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kmart, Argos, etc). I still have a list to go, but you should see more activity in the coming days. The Amazon process checks very often so you will see the most activity from them. Right now I have it set for discounts of 20% or higher. Just need to make a quick announcement.... We are requesting that none of our members post any images or information about the upcoming Black Friday deals until we make an announcement that it is approved by the retailers. I have already received very explicit instructions not to announce Black Friday deals early from a few of our affiliate programs. I am sure there will be plenty of places that do release info and that is totally up to them to do so. The retailers are making it "pretty clear" that there will be hell to pay if caught doing so. I just pushed the latest updates for the Brickpicker Forum App. The iOS version will take a few days to get to the Apple store and allow you to update, but the Android version looks to be live already. I think it is version 5.0.13. It is a big overall update for this device. If some people who use it on Android can try it out, please let me know how it's working. I don't really have a great device to try it on. I am using the iOS version now and it looks like its working great and they may have finally fixed many of the missing link problems that it has been having.

A new way to earn Brickpoints and increase the quality and quantity of the site's content has been born: Article Suggestions. Here is how the process will work: 1- Members who don't have the time or simply don't feel like writing an article, but have a great idea for one, will post the idea in this thread. One of the mods will then add the idea to this first post, including who originally posted it. 2- Anyone who is seriously interested in writing an article based on any of the ideas posted in this thread will have the chance to "claim" the one they would like to write about. Lately you know that we have been trying out somethings that can be helpful to both the website and of course yourself. One thing I have been watching for a long time is that we don't get a lot of mentions or much information out there on the social media platforms. We would definitely like to expand our presence in this world. You will notice a bar that runs along the bottom of the site that says "Rewards". This is totally separate from Brickpoints. Right now, the Brick Store has only a small variety of kits ranging up to 1,000,000 brick points. Most of those kits are not interesting to me so I created this Topic so all we brickpickers could show what WE want in the Brick Store. P.S I am saving up for the Lego Minecraft Kit. I just want to give members some heads up to what is going on with the Brickpoints system as of today... As you all know there was a major conversion done to the site over to the new IP Forum and Blog system. To enable us to make the site more interactive and state of the art, this had to be done. The old Brickpoints log had to be scrapped. Jeff has yet to create a new one, focusing his energies to other, more important features of the site that needs his attention. Needless to say, the Brickpoints are being tallied as usual, just the Brickpoints given for approved reviews are being tallied separately since approximately June 1, 2013. In case you haven't noticed, the forum has been down and the homepage is modified. Jeff is doing some modifications that require the forum to be closed to members.
