Just need to make a quick announcement.... We are requesting that none of our members post any images or information about the upcoming Black Friday deals until we make an announcement that it is approved by the retailers. I have already received very explicit instructions not to announce Black Friday deals early from a few of our affiliate programs. I am sure there will be plenty of places that do release info and that is totally up to them to do so. The retailers are making it "pretty clear" that there will be hell to pay if caught doing so. Reluctantly, we will need to remove any posts that we feel that could be violating their notice. Thanks for…

I notice the brickfolio software will export an inventory to csv, but I don't see a way to import it from csv. In fact the only ways I can seem to find to import into brickfolio is to connect the a third-party website (Brickset and Rebrickable). Am I overlooking the ability to directly import an inventory? Thanks!

Hello, At Brickpicker, we strive to provide fast and easy access to the great content supplied by members. Jeff recently made an awesome change to how forum searches work. Now when typing a set name or number in the forum textbox, the predicted top results will appear automatically and are click-able. note: You can also still search the original way. Here are three examples. I want to ask a question about that popular Batman Arkham. However, I can't quickly find the main thread (aka topic). Type "arkham" in the search box and the most popular Arkham threads appear automatically. This is way cool and easy, right? Now I can post my quest…

I have seen it happen a couple times already, posts that are unreadable (except through the BrickPicker app) because the URL has invalid encoding. The posts about chapters.ca or the 9525 are a good examples: http://community.brickpicker.com/forum/52-canada/ It happens everytime the post's topic includes non-alphanumerical characters. In the HTML link, such characters have to be encoded by the % character followed by the two digits of their ASCII hexadecimal code. Therefore $ becomes %24, % becomes %25, and so on. It would be great to fix this issue!

Hello everyone. As you know there have been a ton of sets released throughout the years with just as many if not more reviews on each of them floating out there across the World Wide Web and keeping track is a difficult task to say the least. Therefore after much contemplation, I have started the first of what will soon be many of threads solely created as a resource to gather all these individual articles together into dedicated spots giving everybody quick & easy access to all of it. Please note these topics are locked strictly for the reason they are only meant to be a stockpile of quick links and not for open discussion. This is so nothing could potentially end u…

Maybe a few of you read the USA TODAY newspaper(about 3.2 million people do on a daily basis), but BRICKPICKER.COM has the "cover story" in the MONEY section of today's paper. We will have more information to follow, but this was one of the "behind the scenes" big deals I have been hinting at for awhile now. As soon as we get an online version, we will post it. Thanks...

When we launched the Brickpoints store, I know many of you were probably thinking, "How the heck can I earn that many Brickpoints?" There will be plenty of ways to earn points and then be rewarded with picking a set you really want. There are A LOT of LEGO sets!! Its hard keeping up with all the data, especially as new sets come along. Well here is where Brickpicker Members can help and earn points for doing so. Every set guide page will have a link to take you to a data page where you can enter in values (CORRECT VALUES PLEASE ) of information that we may not have, or maybe we have wrong. If we are missing the number of pieces or retail values, you can enter it in…

Hello BrickPickers... With the increased site traffic and the new Brick Classifieds forum launching soon, we have asked jaisonline and Bold-Arrow to be moderators. They have graciously accepted. Jeff is finishing up the Brick Classifieds and it looks and works great(He showed me this morning). We will be adding a few more moderators once the Brick Classifieds site and forum go live, preferably members that will be active on the Brick Classifieds and will be able to instruct others on how to use the Brick Classifieds and inform new users about the rules and regulations. More on that later... Ed Mack

I am posting a link to a Twitter feed I setup for the Daily Deals. This is new and I have tied it into some of the processes I have been creating for the updated Daily Deals section. Many of the main sites are in there (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kmart, Argos, etc). I still have a list to go, but you should see more activity in the coming days. The Amazon process checks very often so you will see the most activity from them. Right now I have it set for discounts of 20% or higher. Feel free to follow it and lets see if we can make it a worthwhile feature for everyone. Let me know what you think. If there are Twitter experts out there, I am always open to ideas, so pl…

I'm sure this isn't the right place for this but I can't get the 6862 thread on the first page of the superhero forum to open. Every other thread opens except that one. I've tried different devices as well.

All, I am sure that I am missing something obvious, but I am trying to post a build/review of the 10221 with embedded pictures and I cannot seem to find the toolbar on the "Posting a new topic" page. I am not on the mobile webpage and I know I have done it before, but for some reason it only gives me an option to attached files and not embed them with the text of my post. What am I missing?

I know several board members have inquired about the number of sealed bags for sets. I was wondering if we could add that feature to the lego set description. I know most of the old sets would be hard to find but we can at least start with modern sets. I am sure the members here would have no problem supplying the information. I just opened my Ewok Village and can supply the info for that set or any set I decide to build.

Just a quick note that the April and May (2014) Data is now available. I am just going to ask that you still give me a day or so to filter through some stuff. This is basically "hot off the presses", so there may be some anomalies that I find and filter out. For the LEGO virtual investing game going on, if you do an update that is fine, let people know where they are, but again, I may ask you to re-run it in a day or two. I am just happy that the data is now there. I will also looking through the new sets that have been released to make sure they have values. An interesting thing to note which Ed as mentioned in many of his postings is that since the announceme…

Just want to give everyone a quick update on this months price guide update and including the data from UK and Australia. The Germany data won't be available until the April update, much to do there yet. I had to rewrite the process for all this new data. My original process would have taken days to run, so I rewrote it completely and now it's actually processing faster than what it was when it was just the US data by itself. Most of the time, when you get a chance to go back and look at what you did, you can always add improvements. Right now I am happy with the speed. Once it's done, we will look over the data and I need to add the elements to the actual price gu…

this is very minor.... i know you have "view new content" in non-forum (thread) pages like profiles. hi jeff, hope things are going well. let's say, i'm viewing all the recent threads on any device / browser combo. URL = http://community.brickpicker.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums When I click on the "view new content" link again, a new page loads and it reads, "Sorry, no new content found." As I mentioned in a post a few days ago, we are ending the Brickpoints program here on Brickpicker. Ending Brickpoints was both and easy and a hard decision for Ed and I. We really like the points program and have generated dozens of ideas for how to earn them and how to spend them. Of course Brickpoints was going to play a large focus in Brick Classifieds until we really started to ask the questions of how we wanted to do things in the future. Getting feedback, seeing what people are doing on the site all start to help you make changes and move in a new direction. Points are great, but most people really like payment of real tangible items. Moving forward, we would a…

hi, can the "What Lego set did you sell today?" thread be moved to the "members only" portion of the forum? if so, maybe the " Investing Forum" forum? this way, our sale posts won't be public for prying eyes (especially from google searches). not that registering takes much effort... just a suggestion. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/771-what-lego-set-did-you-sell-today/

Well a lot has been going on in the past 24 hours. Certain things are still a mess and I still have a bit of clean up to do. I don't believe that the site has propagated around the world yet, so there are probably a bunch of users that are not able to see the site yet. Hopefully by tomorrow, that will be done and everyone will be back on. Even though things aren't the way I want them, this becomes a good time for me to start making changes that were planned in the future. Here are a few updates: eBay/Price Guide Data: Well I finally learned that the main eBay site and all of it's global sites did a bunch of category changes and did not notify it's third party…

We had a hard drive failure on the server today. I am trying to move the site to a temp server while this one is being rebuilt. That is why there have been a bunch of bugs and errors. I am trying to get things back to normal as soon as I can, but I am sure you will still having issues logging in from time to time, or see weird things. Sorry for the inconvenience Jeff

I just posted a thread that people should know about and now it's disappeared, there's no message letting me know i did something wrong, there's no closed thread or note from a mod, it's just gone this is not the first time that it's happened and i'm quite frankly getting pissed off with it, either there's some sort of vendetta against me or someone's too lazy to let people know when they're violating some sort of rule. I'd like to know where my post went

I have been working on adding more pricing/sale information from more retailers than we currently are displaying. I am looking to learn from our NON USA members where you look daily for LEGO deals. While our site is still largely US based other regions have been growing nicely as well and we would like to try and provide more information for you as well. Below are some of the shops I have been looking at for Australia. Let me know if these sites are worth my time to work on, or do you not buy from them at all? If you live in Canada, France, Italy, Spain, anywhere, let me know if there is a store/site/whatever that is worth reaching out to to get LEGO listings. …
