So I guess everybody know's if you make over $20,000 and have over 200 Paypal Transactions Paypal sends you a w2 Statement to you and the IRS. When this started 2 years ago I called Paypal and asked them about Chargebacks, Chargebacks are when you buy something with your Paypal credit card and then you return it to say Target Etc and you get your money back, well thats a Chargeback and that count's toward you receiving money, Paypal told me it didn't count, but guess what it does count. So 2 years ago I got the w2 from Paypal saying I made $65,000 but had 210 Paypal Transactions, so this won't affect most people on here but if you sell alot keep that in mine. So if I buy …

Hello fellow Legophiles. I have found one bad thing about clearance sales on Legos--those stickers they put on the boxes with the clearance price. I got a Diagonal Alley and the tag was over Harry's face. He now looks like one of the dementors got a hold of him. On a subsequent one I had good luck with Goo-Gone but it made me nervous using it. Anybody have any other ideas to get these pesky boogers off?

So i was on Ebay and I was looking at an indiana jones the temple of doom set 7199 (99% complete no minifigs). it the auction was ending soon and had about a minute left. the current price was $19 so i figured i'll throw in something and see what happens. So on my phone i put in $21.09. But thanks to my LG phone or the ebay ap or maybe only slightly user error the "." did not take so my highest bid was $2109. I had to do a double take and I was like how can i stop this please NO ONE bid! Can i cancel? Oh man my wife is going to freak out that i bought a $2k lego set. as the seconds were counting down no bids but the last 10 seconds always have snipers. 5 seconds left boom…

Here is an interesting quote from a website 5 years ago that I agree with very much and wonder what some of your thoughts are. Albeit some on here have such large collections and sell mostly misb so it takes some less time than parting out a set but for the most part arent we all limited by time and space and will find it hard to make millions selling lego. I do make a good living from reselling but do not see a bright future personnaly in Lego no retirement other than my toy stock no benefits and little time off and an ever challenging and ebay marketplace are just some of the difficulties we face... "As someone who actually does buy and sell Legos on eBay and Brickli…

Do they always ship the sets by themselves without a shipping box? I have read a number of horrible stories here and wonder if there are any positive incidents. Bought 2 tower bridges with the current $40 GC promotion and certainly hope I don't learn the lesson the hard way. I mean, they cannot always be that retarded, can they?

yay or nay? They are "sponsored" links on Ebay for most lego searches. I had a $1200 order ready to click---they are verified paypal---but that doesn't mean much I found out. The phone number is no good...so I am going to pass. But if anyone else wants to risk it--let us know, Website has been live for 5 years--so it's not fly by night, and they are a paying advertiser on ebay. and their business account is linked to the correct paypal address.....so who know. I am going to pass---but man--this is really tempting.

So I here people mention this a lot and I totally understand - 1. Frustrated with Idiot buyers 2. TIred of going to the post office everyday. 3. Want to smash your tape dispenser 4. Done with printing labels and paying stupid USPS inflated prices. 5. Done with USPS losing packages And more and more. So I thought I would share what is helping me through this on the off chance it might help someone else. I am a candid guy - probably too open sometimes - but in January I was really really struggling with this. December burned me out some and made me realize that I was frustrating myself to much. This was complicated by the fact that …

Just picked up a deal on 5 x 7345's at 22.50 a piece. The deal itself wasn't so good but they let me turn them in for store credit at the local lego shop, which is a pretty rare thing i guess. They are selling for 35 bucks a pop at the lego store and thats what they gave me in store credit. Question is what to buy with the credit ?? What would be a really good investment ?? I was drooling over that death star they had there lol. I was talking with the manager and i guess when lego discontinues sets they actually lower the price on them. I guess they're cracking down on resellers and investors and you can only buy 5 discontinued items at a time. The manager was really s…

So I have been doing this gig for a few months now and everything is going pretty well. However, I have ran into a few instances as I have sold more and more items, of people who just blatantly didn't read a listing, or somehow don't understand a minifigure doesn't come with a "box" (yeah I got neutral feedback for that one). So in general, how do you all deal with this? How does Ebay? I have a current one where someone bought the 4 headed dragon from 9450 from me. I have sold 9 without an issue. This person just sent me an email asking where the rest of the set was. My listing's title says its the parts and instructions for the dragon only, nothing else…

Hey all, I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, and my apologies if this has been covered before. As stated before, I am recently back from the dark ages. I have 3 young kids (2-5) and I'm looking for some bulk stuff to let them (and myself ) use their imagination for builds without having to break up/mix up sets. I'm looking at some local CL type of stuff, but I really don't have much of an idea of what to look for or how to determine what is a good deal and what isn't. For example, there is a listing locally here for ~12 grocery bags of Lego. Seller says it is made up of City and Town stuff (specifically stated there is no Star Wars). They a…

I know its everyone's right to smoke so please don't think I mean offense to anyone, but has anyone got a set from a smoker that was very bad smelling, and what did they do to freshen it up? Again, I mean no offense to anyone with this question, just tying to find some solutions. Also, can you do anything about the box and instructions? Thanks!

I was in Barnes and Noble today to look at their inventory after somebody mentioned they hold on to older sets longer and I was amazed at the amount of older sets they had in stock. Granted, all of it was garbage from an investment standpoint. They had the following from Pharaoh's Quest 9 boxes of Scorpion Pyramid (7327) 4 boxes of Rise of the Sphinx (7326) And they had a lot of Atlantis stuff 3 boxes of City of Atlantis (7985) 2 boxes of Guardian of the Deep (8058) And some stuff from Alien Conquest which is more common 7 boxes of Alien Mothership (7065) 11 boxes of UFO Abduction (7052) All of it was still retail. The thing that really s…

SO I have been going back and fourth with this set on when might be the best time to think about selling. I believe a new Wolverine set with Magneto and Wolverine comes out later this year. In the mean time, this set is already up around $50 on Ebay and climbing. I am thinking if the new Wolverine sets come out in the fall, this would be a good sell at $60 or more in the summer. But if they come out sooner rather than later, the big time growth could stop. On the other hand, maybe it wont have a huge effect and this set will continue to soar for several years. What are people's thought? Honestly I am bored with the lack of deals lately so I a…

I would very much like to do this full time. I've been doing some here and there, and just ready to be my own boss. I'm no stranger to long days and hard work, I'm just tired of making someone else money so I ran some quick numbers which I listed below. I also have knowledge and currently posses several comics, die cast, figures, and several thousand sports cards that would be in addition to Lego. Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas. I was just curious to hear how much legos everyone sold this Christmas. As for myself, I didn't start my listings on ebay until Dec.2...believe it or not, from Dec. 2- 25, I sold over 40k! I maxed out my account, and had to start using my girlfriend's account. Ebay gave her an increase on what she can sell per month, from 25k to 75k, because they noticed her selling so much. lol I sold mostly harry potter, friends, excavators, fire brigades.. The reason for me selling so much this month, is because I'm raising money to bet on a UFC fight on Dec.28 (Chris Weidman) I'm about 95% sure Chris will win the fight. Out o…

Hey guys, I've seen this topic come up here and there. I'm thinking about investing in a Taj Mahal just for the CAGR (ROI beats my TFSA). However, it seems like an easy target for re-sealing. How would one be able to verify they're actually receiving a legit brand new sealed set? Been thinking, 1) Are the stickers always straight (parallel to the edge of the box)? Or in some cases the box is so heavy they go at an angle? Or get stretched? 2) Would applying a bit of pressure to it to check it's secure be a good test? 3) Moving it around, or pushing on it to check the sound? Thought about bringing a Tower Bridge to compare? 4) Some sort of light check? X-ray would be n…

I'm going to be getting in some of these from my cousins who work at Walmart, and wanted to know what people might pay for them. I'll probably be getting in around six. I know it's still a couple of months away, but I want to know at what price I can sell these things beforehand. *ATTENTION* I will be getting these a week after the game comes out and everybody has gotten theirs, I will be recieving what's left from my cousin. Nothing shady about it.

This is probably located somewhere else but I couldn't figure it out on B&****** website or find here. I want to grab a Death Star at my closest B&******. I saw on their site about the kids program and you get 30% off first Toy purchase. I signed up for my online account only, not my kids club thing yet. I heard it entitles you to 10% discount on everything? Is this true? So with the kids club coupon it will be 40% off total for a DS? Sorry if the questions are stupid I don't want to take a ride to B&****** and not get the 40% off. Thanks LD

There has been a lot of talk about this particular issue. Heck, there was even an article for it. However, it has been explained before that actual 'Drop Shipping' is a legimate practice used by companies such as Wal-Mart and Amazon when you order something online. It is only when you have individuals using stolen credit cards things get illegal. I have read complaints from some members about using the term 'drop shipper' for these illegal practices when the truth is actual 'drop shipping' is legal. So I am proposing that we put our heads together and come up with a name that befits the crooks that use the legal practice of 'drop shipping' for their own illegal purpo…
