Alright... I'm really hoping to get a few likes for this one... I was disappointed with the TRU.ca sale, so I decided to roam the net, and I happened upon this site... http://www.playvaluetoys.com/ They have the rover available (limit 12 per customer), at 34.99 each. On top of that, they still have Uruk-Hai Armies, Helm's Deeps, Two-Face Chase and a bunch of older SW and POTC sets plus much more! Must check out! Most things are MSRP, but worth it for sets that have long disappeared! Free shipping in Canada with $75 purchase. They ship to US too!

Hey Canadians, if you check out London Drugs website: www.londondrugs.com they have a Lego sale going on. Discounts vary but there are some interesting deals. Most notably are below, all in stock on their website for shipping: Hive Crawler 70708 $35 (61% off) Forest Ambush 70400 $10 (33% off) Gold Getaway 70401 $15 (40% off) Museum Beak-In 60008 $65 (28% off) There's lots of other discounted sets but available for store pickup only. Shellraiser ($50), Daily Bugle ($45) Council of Elrond ($25) etc. I suggest you use the store locator feature to see whats in stock around you. I found 7 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakouts at a store near me for $50…

North of the border is cheaper than south of the border. More Americans are bound to raid up north. Would you be willing to pay 199USD plus state tax for a tumbler? Or pay 229CAD plus taxes for a tumbler? Do the math and you'll put together a massive list to clean out at the lego store, and just dump it back down south.

I've been reading that a lot of people buy from Amazon Europe, but do you still get good deals after the exchange rate in Canada, and shipping costs? Last year when it was a tad over $1.60 CAD for 1 pound when I was exchanging money, and it just seems like it would work out to the same as buying in Canada.

Does anyone sell on amazon.ca here? Is it just me or does the lego prices on the Canadian site vs the American site seems ridiculously over priced? Is there a reason for the outrageous pricing (unless it is sold by Amazon directly)? For example - .com vs .ca Pet Shop $224.98 vs C$396.23 Family House $94.99 vs C169.99 I am sure we can go on with the list. I understand the exchange rate... but the premium on .CA is well over the exchange rate. I am just curious if sellers actually move any inventory on the Canadian site.

What other reward points (excluding Lego VIP) do you collect to trade for Lego? I initially started collecting aeroplan points for travel, but after seeing how much taxes I need to pay on top of the points used, I rather redeem them for pre-paid American Express. I am about 4000 points shy to redeem $1250 in AE cards. I am planning to buy a few exclusive sets in the Lego store once the cards arrived.

Just got back from my local Target (Greater Vancouver Area). This weekend only spend $50 in store and receive a $10 gift card free valid store wide. I bought $50 in groceries to get my free gift card. I also noticed my store had the new imperial Star Destroyer 75055 on sale for $105 (reg $149.99) 30% discount! I didn't see this sale in their flyer, so not sure if this is sale chain wide or not. So I bought my groceries, put them in my car, and went back in to buy the set. $105 less 5% using my Red Card: $99.75 plus 12% HST = $111.72, less $10 gift card: $101.72! PLUS THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER $10 GIFT CARD for my purchase! The fine print says one gift card per custom…

My guess is that on Lego Shop @ Home, this will be the full MSRP of $49.99 so Amazon.ca is a pretty decent option to get this! http://www.amazon.ca/Everything-Awesome-Blu-ray-UltraViolet-Figurine/dp/B00ID1CEU2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1396307692&sr=8-3&keywords=the+lego+movie

So I just found 8 of the sets at Dufferin Mall TRU and bought them all. I asked and they said they did not have any more, but maybe this is a sign that some will be appearing elsewhere in the GTA. I fell pretty lucky finding these. Hopefully the winning streak continues at my poker game tonight.

This might be the first year that I have seen a really decent Black Friday deal north of the border on LEGO. I have no qualms about this set at 50% off (even if it is 50% off CAN retail...) It looks like in store you can get a free poly as well, and if you spend over $100 you get a $15 off $50 purchase for your next purchase. All in all, not too bad! In a perfect world I would grab two or three bundles of 4 each to get the $15 card. Also, the Creator Highway Pickup is a solid deal for Canada. Amazon.ca had them for $75 - this will be a nice savings. I'm not huge on them for investing, but I'd like to pick up one or two for my personal collec…

I haven't had much experience selling too many things other than polybags and minifigures so I am always very surprised by how much larger items and parcels cost to ship. I always end up charging too little for shipping and my profit is almost nonexistant or I end up selling at a loss. I was hoping to create a shipping price guideline so people can refer to it for the future. This will probably change once the new postal rates come into effect next month though. Any help would be appreciated from seasoned sellers! Small bubble envelope (good for polybag or minifigs) Within Canada - $1.34 To US - $2.65 International - $5.20 Small parcel (size of Captain Ame…

Amazon.ca has 20% off the following sets it seems: 60052 Cargo Train (Can some BP affiliate link this one?) 75054 AT-AT 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina The only one that really stands out to me is the train but I'm not prepared to buy into that one yet. But maybe for personal collection some of you will want these.

So I was at my local Canadian target at lunch today (Greater Vancouver area) and they have started clearance on the current LOTR sets. My location had Mines of Moria for $69.99, Shelob Attacks for $17,99 and Weather Top for $52.99. Not bad pricing especially on the Weather Top. Add an extra 5% discount with Redcard and there's a few deals to be had. I don't know if this clearance is chain wide or not tho, it's the only location near me. Orc Forge was also on clearance for $34.99, but there were none left because I bought the last 23 they had yesterday! lol

I was surprised not to see this but you all are likely aware of this sale since in Canada a 20% off is all we seem to get out of TRU. Wanted to get everyone's thoughts on Daily Bugle 76005. Seems this thing is disappearing and I have none. Do you think 20% might be the best discount on this one?
