Star Wars Sets

Whether you love them or hate them, the Star Wars™ Sets are a huge success!

  1. Started by IrishGuy66,

The title says it all, pictures of this set have finally leaked out. Sorry about the image being so fuzzy, I wasn't able to make a link to the actual site. It's just on Brickipedia though if you want to see it on there. Any thoughts about this set? I personally think it looks the business from a collectors standpoint, but am not sure what an investor might think of it.

From the looks of this photo, they shrunk it - Similiar to how the new Barge looks this year. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tormentalous/8460972643/

  3. Started by Lateral-G,

Heard on Brickshow that these are coming this summer as announced from the London Toy Fair. I guess prices are going to drop now on the older sets. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on a sail barge on ebay last month.

  4. Started by Darth Lego,

This Summer a new SW gunship is going to be released. (Link here: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/75021_Republic_Gunship ) The new set has 141 more pieces than the 7676 and is expected to retail for $119.99. (It has a total of 1,175 pieces and comes with seven minifigures.) Does this set look good or do you think the older one is better? Thanks.

I was looking at this set and it doesn't seem to be available in the UK in many places except lego shop directy, and Amazon UK has one left at

  6. Amazon.it posted some pictures of this year's SW Advent Calendar. LINK

  7. Started by Darth Lego,

A German website posted a picture of the Star Wars 75024 HH-87 Starhopper that is slated to be released in the fall of 2013. It comes with Obi-Wan(Disguised.), Cad Bane, and a Nikto Guard. It will most likely to be an exclusive set that will only be available in certain stores. Link to the Article. Will TLG soon stop making Clone Wars sets because the show has been retired?

  8. GRogall of Eurobricks has revealed images for the last Star Wars set of 2013! Suggested retail is $89.99 and exclusive to Toys R Us. Pretty good deal & design I think.

  9. Started by Harry Blokker,

Thoughts on these minifigures? The imperial gunners were in Episode 4 and the royal guards (red) were in Episode 2,3,6... The imperial gunners are only in this set... as for the royal guards they were in a few other sets (another design because this one is a redesign). People collecting minifigs for army build seems to enjoy these limit gunners and guards. Interesting when they are at discount? Thanx

Hi All; Not sure if I should post here, I was at a local walmart the other day and found 1 box of 75038 hiding in the corner.(box damaged a bit) After doing some research, looks like it out everywhere, and might retire soon. Should I buy it? or wait for the red one(76135?) next year?

Cant find a topic dedicated to this set already (forgive me if I'm doubling up). Just checked out the prices on ebay for this one and WOW. In the UK this was pretty much permanently on offer (2 for £30 was the worst). NIB it looks like around £40 (and £25 to £30 used). This was a set I really liked (who doesn't want a Grevious mini fig) but given how available it was, constantly on offer I stayed away (thinking too much supply and no demand). Someone loading up on this last year instead of a couple of Tumblers say. Maybe everyone else was more clued up but this has hidden gem status for me (hats off to @Yellowtot). Ok I get the grevious fig makes it desirabl…

  12. Started by MinifigW,

This set just got retired a few weeks ago, and already prices have skyrocketed to over $100 ($50 over MRSP). I have a few ideas why this set is going to be gold in the future. 1. Unlikely to be remade, this set was clone wars specific (with a brief appearance in rebels) and I just have a gut feeling this wont be made again. 2. its appearance in Rebels further advances its value in the future, as it now can be assumed that this is the standard imperial gunship. 3. its build is impressive, I got really lucky and found this for $50 on TRUs ebay (it sold out within minutes), and it is an impressive angular build. 4. Short production run, li…

  13. Started by cladner,

This set has been sold out a while at shop at home and all retailers and seems to have gone under the radar with under 100 sellers on amazon and only 58 for sale on ebay. It's already selling for $73 prime amazon and $55 on ebay . My average buy-in is $24 and normally I'd start thinking about selling at 2.5-3X the buy in but given the relative rapid response, getting greedy & thinking about waiting a little. Still, I could see a Snowspeeder being included with a rumored Hoth base more than seeing an AT-AT. probably will sell a few now.

Just noticed it, estimated dispatch 1-2 months, probably other summer sets listed too, haven't looked, wanted to bring the news right away, amazing price don't you think?

  16. Started by jnd2k3,

Just an fyi. I started my build on The Ghost and when I got to page 6 on book 2, step 71, I got a little surprise: two incorrect parts. Instead of two 6019727, instead I got 88930... I contacted Lego and they are sending me the correct part, but it is 7-10 business days I have to sit and look at this unbuilt on my table. A shame to say the least.

  17. Started by LegoWalker4,

I am about to complete a used 75053 The Ghost set to sell and have a question about the Kanan Jarrus minifig. Is he supposed to have brown or black hair? I can only find him with hair brown for sale and want the set to be completely accurate if possible. Does any one have a part number for the hair only? I down to last piece I need to complete this set! If you have one to sell or trade, preferably used, or just have the hair to sell, please PM me.

Cool to start these off in the same thread? Okay... I'm just wondering... what's up with these sets? Walmart seems to be phasing them out of their stores, no stock online, they don't show up when I search "Lego Star Wars" at target.com (but you can search them individually and order limit 1), most Targets near me are out of stock, most ToysRUs near me have no stock (but can order online limit 4). Is this normal post-Christmas shortage... they'll all be stocked back up by spring?

  19. So back to the old news of new sets, the 2014 Star Destroyer! Something that hasn't been seen in minifigure scale for 8 years. But when I compare the two, I would almost choose the older 2006 over 2014. Almost, but not quite. I think the realistic look and figures are good. However, there's the obvious nagging thing about it being smaller than 2006's. But that didn't really matter since half of the ship was really an escape pod launcher. But is the new half any different? It seems pretty basic for what you pay. Is that set worth $130? And there's no more helmet changing station either! I had hoped for an improved one, but since the station was on the Super Star I guess t…

The Hungarian Lego retailer, Kocka.hu, seemingly notorious for many 'leaks' this past couple of years has done it once again for this quite possibly store exclusive future set. Unfortunately still no product information such as number of pieces or pricing available other than it will include 12 minifigures. via The Brick Fan

http://www.thebrickfan.com/breaking-lego-star-wars-ucs-sandcrawler-75059-rumors/ "There are rumors of a new LEGO Star Wars UCS (Ultimate Collector Series) set that will be released in 2014. Chowren Toys has gotten word that LEGO will be releasing the UCS Sandcrawler (75059) sometime next year and will go for $299.99. The original Sandcrawler (10144) came out in 2005 but there hasn

Rumor has it that Lego will be releasing a UCS Slave 1 in 2014. (Eurobricks, BrickFan, etc). I for one am literally thrilled if this is so. Slave 1 is my favorite of the iconic ships in Star Wars, and it hosts the two best bounty hunters ever. I'm sure I'll acquire over twenty of these if its really going to be released. Speculation says around May 4th promotion again. Anyone else excited? Or would people have rather seen a different UCS model?

  23. Started by Harry Blokker,

Thoughts on the Star Wars 75078 for army build. I you can buy these at almost 50 % discount, deal or no deal. Will people want those Rebels stormtroopers in the future?

  24. Started by tk924,

I'm still unsure about getting this set even though I mostly collect OT vehicles. Seeing it go on sale for $20 may make me go ahead and get one. What are your thoughts?

  25. Started by BuildTomorrow,

Hi all, Probably a newbie question (I've searched the forums but haven't found an answer) so I hope you don't mind me asking... The TIE Advanced Prototype is currently $59.99 (Australian dollars) on the Lego Store and can be found in stores such as Kmart for even less on occasion. So I'm wondering, why are many Australian ebay sellers asking for over $100 for the set? How can anyone try to sell a set for so much when it is easily available in stores? Do these sellers actually move the product? Thanks all!
