I just bought a bunch of 75099 Rey's Speeders from Costco which have been marked down to 12.97. Grabbed 6 only but they had like a pallet lol. This is west coast Costco price, not sure if East coast shares the same pricing.

    76048 The S.H.I.E.L.D. 8. Started by Veegs,

Pretty much everything in two stores I went to this morning were on sale/clearance. Most were 20-30% off. Not that great, but today only when you spend $200 you get a $50 gift card (to spend on more Lego, of course). I grabbed AT-ATs, Imperial Star Destroyers and Brick Bountys. I doubt the most popular (and already retired sets) won't make it very long today, but the gift card should be good to grab some of the slower moving sets tomorrow. Now I'm checking store stock and planning to hit up a few more farther away to clear out the SW sets I want.

  9. Started by Vodium,

Didn't see a main thread for chapters. They seem to have revamped their plum rewards program, on sept 10th you get 10x the plum points limited to one transaction per plum member. Couldn't find any exclusions for Lego. So instead of getting 5 points per $1 spent, you will get 50. I plan on getting 60 S14 CMF which should give 11,850 points which is $25 in points which comes out to around 10% off. Anybody else take advantage of plum points?

TRU.ca is running a 20% off on city, creator and some super hero sets (reduced from canadian retail so we are now somewhere at US retail). There are some sets thats worth a look. I also picked up 3677 red cargo train with this deal.

Woah, that would explain the lack of stock and clearances going on... If you follow CBC on twitter they are now confirming that Target is pulling it's Canadian Operations. http://pressroom.target.com/news/target-corporation-announces-plans-to-discontinue-canadian-operations#sf35546962 Time to watch for everything going on clearance! On the downside though this is pretty sad

  12. I could not find another thread for a similar topic, but apologies if there is one. I would like to start selling some of my extra sets on Ebay, but am not sure how to tackle shipping. I'd appreciate any insight from some of the more experienced BP'ers based in Canada. 1) If my Ebay listing is Buy It Now, and I list a single shipping price, and offer shipping to Canada and Continental US, should I pick a price that basically averages the cheapest and most expensive shipping locations? 2) Do most people ship Regular Parcel, or Priority? If Regular Parcel, I presume you would add tracking. 3) When is it worth it to include insurance? Any other les…

I know, I know, "But Jeff" you may ask, "what does Hudson's Bay have to do with toys in general and lego in particular?" Before today I'd have asked much the same, but a funny thing happened the last few weeks. As I am wont to do, I was out for a midday work break stroll through ye olde PATH system in downtown Toronto which sometimes takes me through the bowels of the flagship Bay store. Walking past the luggage area a couple of weeks ago I was shocked, shocked I tell you, to discover a sizeable amount of retail wall space completely empty with nothing but white shelves. What could this be I asked, wondering if Saks was just getting on with the inevitable and devouring th…

Hey guys, TRU.ca posted their flyer earlier. BOGO 50% on all City, Star Wars, and Super Hero sets. Hopefully that equites to about a 20% discount if you account for TRU inflation on some of the sets. There may be some retiring sets kicking around your TRU, so pick some up if you can!

  16. Started by thirsty,

Thirsty has spent the last three years raiding walmarts, cleaning out Targets, skulking around TRU and dutifully hitting the local Lego store as often as possible but not often enough to arouse all kinds of suspicions... So here I sit with all kinds of Lego, Orc Forges, Deadpools NIB, Fire Brigades, Haunted Houses, 7964's, 7965's, 9515's, etc, etc.... All kinds of stuff, multiples in almost all cases. Work slowed up (I'm in Alberta) so I am looking at holes in my schedule I can fill with getting my newly minted biz off the ground (GST # and everything). Going to get a new address ( a suite at the nearest UPS store), credit card is on the way. Pay Pal registration up n…

Mastermind Toys has begun a little random sale with a few things at 40% off: http://www.mastermindtoys.com/Clearance-Sale.aspx?_outline=Brand--b10 The set 70163, Ultra Agents Toxic Meltdown, might not be a bad deal. Note that there are no provincial taxes for Quebec residents (and probably other provinces as well, I'm not sure how spread out Mastermind Toys is).

Has anybody ordered Legos from London drugs recently and what would you recommend as a great buy? thanks, john

Looks like it's no tax day tomorrow in the GTA, plus I got a PC Plus offer to get $15 worth of points for spending $150, as well as $5 of points for every $20 spent on toys. All together that can add up to a 45% discount off the taxes included price, and that's before accounting for any of the clearance prices that are often available.

  21. So I was at my local target in Richmond, BC and saw pretty much all Chima 50% off including cragger command ship (49.99), combat lair (44.99), etc. Select Ninjago sets were 50% off too, like Garmatron for 24.99. But... YMMV

Walmart Canada has the set 10664, a tub of 1600 parts, for $40! The sets were in the center of an alley under a $44.99 sign, but they actually scanned for $40. I first heard of this through Toys ****** Bricks, so I went to have a look around. The find is confirmed at a Walmart in Montreal. Others have reported finding some in Toronto and in Quebec City. Happy hunting!

  24. I received an e-mail last Friday letting me know Target was putting all new items on clearance for January, so i checked 1 store out (albeit a bit late) to see what they had left. Many LEGO Movie sets/Hero Factory/City were %30 off that i could see. Also the TMNT movie sets were discounted like crazy, i don't know MSRP on these but the big turtle lair was $35.99. Didn't see any Super Heroes or SW on sale though, but as always; this will differ from Target to Target. Anyways figured i'd share. Nothing amazing that i could see, but there might be some good stuff at other stores.
