I've followed the recent thread about what should be on one's wish list, but I have a slightly different question. What is the best way or ways to keep a wish list and how have you gone about creating it? It's easy to make a note of sets I would like to buy for investment purposes, but that seems a little disorganized to me. I'm assuming you go by year it hit the shelves and the EOL predictions so you aren't stocking up on Lone Ranger when Fire Brigade may be EOL soon. But is there a good process you can recommend to start and maintain a wish list? Also, there is so much information here and deals that are posted everyday, it becomes hard to know what to focus o…

So I bought a Lego from an Amazon 3rd party seller and the lego box says Misship and a bunch of different barcodes. Just wondering what this means. People buying these mis-shipped items for way under retail and reselling them? How do you go around finding mis-shipped items? This post probably doesn't make any sense haha sorry

To all investors and members, please enjoy my new Brickvesting Blog article published today, Beginner's Guide to Investing Lego Style. Even though it's geared toward fledgling investors, there's some good stuff in there for everyone. I also have a quick supplemental Personal Blog entry up that summarizes my goals for my last two blog articles, Myths and Truths and Beginner's Guide. Enjoy, and please provide feedback - I love to hear whether people think I'm on the mark of full of garbage (or both)!

Quick question regarding sorting. I have bins of Legos from when I was younger. I was wondering if I should try to sort them by shape and color or try to make full sets out of them? They're from '95-'01. Nothing super special from what I can recall.

Anybody have a decent plan they can share for importing lego sets not available in US? My son has been begging me for the skinet (skunk) chima speedorz set. We went to lego, and they said not until August. It is on Amazon super cheap in the UK--but when I went to check out--said they couldn't send it to my address in US. I found some ebay sellers with it--but they wanted silly money to ship--the ones that post to US. Came out to almost $40! that way. If anybody in the UK has the opposite issue---let me know-and I'll buy what you need and send it for whatever UPS charges, if I can send you a speedorz set from AMZN, and you can send it to me.

Have you guys noticed that one of the best months of the year to purchased retired and expensive sets seems to be in December? Several sets like the 10179, 10181, Green Grocer, etc. Seem to drop somewhat significantly in holiday season, while we know that most LEGO sets actually peak during this time.

Bought two funhouses for $40/each. Got the Jor-el that I immediately sold for $15 and a chima set that I sold for $7. (btw, how much longer are they going to keep giving these away?! I saw them for sale at Walmart for $15 last week) Add in 80 points or about $4 in lego rewards and those funhouses now cost significantly less.

Often when you buy from LEGO Shop at Home you receive a freebie set or poster etc... Do people tend to keep these or put them straight on to Ebay to offset the cost of the set you are buying. I have done both: The Fire Brigade I bought (at RRP!!) came with a Mini Sopwith Camel and a few Legends of Chima posters. I flogged these off for a few pounds which has lowered the cost by approx 4%. Last Christmas I bought the Grand Emporium for

Sorry if this not a new topic...did a search and didn't find one. Just curious what some of your memorable 'mistake returns' were? Meaning whether you are a rookie investor or veteran was there a set(s) you returned because you had various second thoughts but later regretted because it became hard to find or no longer at price you purchased? I regretted returning some Palpatine's Arrests and Fun House's at good prices because as a novice I thought 2-4 sets would be enough inventory but ending up flipping them all quickly and demand was still there to make good profit with no inventory. Unfortunately I haven't seen sale prices like that again (yet). I shoul…

Many of us are just plain fans of Lego so whatever we sell, the profits go back to re-investing or buying sets for personal collection. Curious, what the 'balance sheet' of other members of like? For example as a relatively new investor my meek profits so far only contributes to approx 5% of my current inventory. Eventually if I'm successful that % will get higher 20%, 30%, 50% etc, as I sell more, sets appreciates...hopefully I become a better investor (step 1 - buy outside of Canada haha) not withstanding a secondary market collapse. I'm sure some members might just be playing with profits (house money) for their entire inventory/collection. Weird question or …

Supposedly the "Collector's Guide" which is sold out on S&**** shows the "rarity" of each set and that rating takes into account the secondary market on ebay and other sites. This would be good info to have, maybe here in the forum or on the price guide pages. Does anyone know about this?

Hey ya'll, I have the opportunity to buy 6393 and 951 both sealed. I don't truly know what the value of either is. There were no sealed 951's for sale on the internet that I could find, and the only 6393 that was sealed on bricklink was in pristine condition and going for 3,000 USD. Have any of you seen them sell anywhere in the past? Quite interested in these sets but don't really know how to price them. (The Brickpicker values are not correct at all). Thanks

Hello, I'll have a chance to visit a Lego Store in Anaheim in the first week of november. (I'm Canadian and the nearest Lego Store for me is 800km from where I live!) Can I except some deals/clearances at this time of year or it's totally random? And it's possible for me to use my canadian VIP point in the US? And anyone know if it's possible to ask to ship at a Canadian address?

I know this may sound blasphemous, but i have been picking up a few off brand sets when they are dirt cheap on clearance. i have a few transformers licensed sets, and a few battleships from the named movie. right now they are going for msrp online and was wondering if anyone had considered making up a site like this for other brands, or perhaps adding other brands to this site? I cant help but think that they will increase in value and you cant tell me that a foot tall optimus prime that turns back into a semi isnt just a darn good toy. after all i saw that set featured as a top holiday gift in a few magazines in november

Ok, So I know we have a large post for the May 4th specials. But now, I would like some afterthoughts on some of what you guys and gals decided to do or did with your B-wings and Han Solo Hoths. For me I purchased 10 seperate orders. I am kind of surprised people priced their stuff so low. Its just so dumb to me. Anyways, Prices on both are coming down. Hoth was selling for 19.99 all day, now it seems like 14.99. Bwings are going for about 150 now. Did most of you sell? For me its just not worth it. Dont you think all the Hoths will be gone soon at the rate they are going. I feel like Christmas time you could easily get $30 apiece. For the Bwings I am thinking at least $1…
