I just saw this commercial yesterday and definitely what to check out this series.  Does anyone have additional info about it?

Hoping the use of “Theme” implies more than one set, but I’d be happy with a one-off Krusty Burger.

Over the years I've seen used sets (with the box & instructions) sell for only 20% less than my sealed sets. It irked me a bit. I realized I would be more than willing to take 20% less in order to get the enjoyment of playing with the set. When hot sets retire, I see used sets make a reasonable profit over retail -- which has allowed me to cross the chasm into this new game of "Building to Resell" eventually when the price is right.

You dudes are the pros. What advice can you give beyond saving the box and instructions (seems like a bad box doesn't really affect the resell value of a used set, you just have to have it)?

• Does keeping plastic bags increase their value?
• Keeping the "extra pieces"?
• I got greasy fingers, so I constantly see smudges on what I'm building now -- will I get negative feedback if someone sees that
• What are these "used buyers" like in general? I'm scared of them for several reasons. I feel like the cheaper they are, the more they might complain or even lodge a fake complaint that not all the pieces were there
• My biggest question: does breaking down the set and putting it in the correct numbered bag affect the resell value?

Let's not answer for the Captain, instead, let's answer "for Science"...

Looks like adult oriented sets are going to be hit the hardest. If a set is hit by a price increase, you can be fairly sure it's not going to retire. More than half of the sets not set to have price increases, are retiring at the end of the year. 

Like every other company, they got used to those "record profits" year after year, and don't want to give ground due to rising costs on their end.

Remember when this site included a Lego lot calculator? I used the hell out of that thing. Copy and paste set numbers in, choose new or used, and press go! It was awesome.

I am in the process of getting sales tax exemptions as we're going to be doing a LOT more Lego buying this year and I'm tired of applying for refunds from the state. 

The online ones are pretty straightforward and I'm getting those all done, but can anyone tell me how it works for brick and mortar stores? Do I head to my nearest WalMart and apply there, or do I have to go through a corporate office? And if the former, will the exemption hold at all Walmarts, or do I have to apply at each one individually? Also, do they give you some sort of i.d. card to use at checkout, or???

(Same question for Target, TRU, KMart, etc.)

These pogo sticks and minifig are selling for crazy prices on ebay. Only a few have sold. 

Most people are posting theirs as red pogo sticks with minifig with printed shirt with space man on shirt.

Mine is blue pogo with generic red shirt minifig (no printing on minifig at all). 

Anyone else have any insight on these?
