Creator

Discussion for collecting and investing with Creator themed sets.

  1. https://www.promobricks.de/legoland-feuerwehrschule-40393/89765 Interesting choice for an exclusive Legoland set given how many times Ole Kirk Christiansen's shops burned to the ground. Not something I plan to add to my amusement park / fairground, but glad to see continued Legoland sets.

  2. Seen a few pics of this this morning. Looks pretty cool

  3. Our very good buddy Allen "Tormentalous" Tran has reported on his website that Eurobricks has leaked small bits of info on a restaraunt modular set for realease next year, on the surface it seems pretty lame but probably too early to tell. http://www.thebrickfan.com/new-2014-lego-modular-building-revealed-is-a-parisian-restaurant/

http://www.brickshop.nl/lego/lego-creator-expert/lego-10246-detective-bureau.html Brickshop.nl appears have to jumped the October announcement of the next modular set. No pictures yet. Not sure if this will be named "Detective Bureau" in EU and "Detective Agency" in NA, or if this is just a translation issue. Detective's Office

Exclusive creator? creator like set? being sold at Legolands around the world. Brickset entry: https://brickset.com/sets/40346-1

Good starting price from Lego for what you get. At its EOL will get real cheap prob... But, how well do the 3 in 1 sets sell on smaller market? The price has to do the selling with No hoopla endorsements ,just good ol' Lego. This one might be OK. Looks to have some nice build styles. This may also hurt the modular pet shop.

Hi Brickpickers! What's this I hear about a Creator set called Carnival coming out later this year? Do you think it is going to have a motorized ride just like the Grand Carousel? I am going to be first in line for this set regardless of what it has! Please give comments! Thanks!

Someone over on Eurobricks pointed to the site Pricevortex, which is showing a new Creator set for 2016 - 10253 Big Ben. No other details given. Let the speculation begin. I, for one, think a landmark sized Big Ben would look pretty cool.

Given how popular all the Deep Sea Explorer subs were, I wonder how well this build will fare? I'm only mildly excited about the sub and can't figure out the obsession with robots and now underwater robots?

I just saw this in the list of new models for 2015 and am already drooling. Apparently it is a summer release - anyone got any info about pieces, size, pricing? This could be a really iconic set if it is well executed. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Ferrari-F40-10248 Ferrari F40

In anticipation of the Ferris wheel arriving soon, just wanted to get people's opinions on what they would like to see. Do you think it will be similar to the mixer with various other little stalls to place nearby or more like the grand carousel - a big show piece. In reality all fairs have one or 2 large show pieces so I'm hoping for this. Given the price bracket we could get a large set. Just wanted to promote some discussion around thus forthcoming set.

    Official reveal this week.

Now this Creator set offers a lot of bang for your buck (however much that will be) between the main model of a camper to the alternates with a home then fancy yacht. Far out.

I scored this set for $550 from a local seller in my area. Manuals, Box, all pieces. I thought it was a good deal and its one of the very few sets I really kick myself for not buying at regular prices several years ago. Well I started building it.... 6 Hours later and I was addicted. This set is unbelievable! I am currently on Book 3. It's massive and probably one of the more difficult builds due to it being fragile as you go up and inward. This will become one of my favorites and will look great next to my 3450 Statue of Liberty. It is definitely inspiring me to keep my Taj Mahal, crack it open and start building it, something I have been hesitant to do because of it…
