  1. Well since I go to the Movie 2 times a week a figure I would give you my 2 cent review on what I see, So here we go. Well looks like the critics are Split on Brad Pitt's World War Z Movie, Well we just got back from the Midnight Show. Well The Action starts in the first 10 Minutes and it really never let's up. The First 2/3 of the movie was the best, then it slacks off a little. For a PG-13 Zombie Movie it was good, Brad Pitt was great and the rest of the cast was also great. Plenty of Zombies, lots of Violence and Killing, and the way it ended it seems like a Part 2 could happen. So Great Popcorn Movie. Score 8/10 and the 400 seat theater was full and people clapped and…

  2. So I went to the Midnight Showing of the Lone Ranger, the First bad sign was that in a 400 seat Theater there was only about 30 of us in there. And if you check and if you check the reviews alot of them are not good, But I see about everything wheen it first comes out. The Major complaint its a good 2 1/2 hrs long, But for the Movie it was just OK, For a Disney movie there is plenty of shooting and Killing, it does have comedy in it. And it is Johnny Depp's Movie, Acting all around was very good. So if you want action and lots of shooting well go see it, I give it a 7/10 score. If they just would of cut about a half hour it would of been better. Hopefully lots of people w…

I just got the latest Lego Club Magazine today and noticed that they changed Max again. Is anyone else sick of the madness!?! Give the kids someone who doesn't change!

The Brick Store is filled with awesome Lego sets of all sizes and I want to know what you have your eyes on. I have my eyes on that cool Lego Minecraft kit.

  8. (Please me if we already have a topic on this, or just yell 'MERGE!') Obviously, we are all Lego nerds to varying degrees, but you all must have some other area of useless expertise, be it Star Wars, DC, Marvel, games, movies... I personally am a SW nerd, with some LOTR, Bionicle, and basic comicbook lore on the side.

  9. Started by Blackjack,

Sorry if there is already a topic for this, but I coouldn't find one. I have never had a dark age, but I should probably have a Lego will to part out my collection among the Lego faithful in the event of one. ;)

  10. I'm very skeptical about getting Tumblers from Amazon now. This is how mine look like after back-ordered for 10 days...looks like someone dig inside of box to check the items. Returning now.

  11. I was just wondering what Legos you guys have found at thrift stores and rumage sales. I have not had very much luck over the years, I've only found the Red Beard Runner and a few Bionicles in all. Maybe one of you has found a huge hoard somewhere. :)

  12. I am just curious what qualifies as a SW remake. I gave a few options above along with an example next to it.

  13. Im moving and I have to decide if i want to keep all my boxes and instructions. What would you do? Im having a hard time letting them go =)

Just curious, what my fellow Lego fans do when they're not building or scouring the internet for deals. I'm a Heavy Equipment Mechanic which sadly cuts too much into my investing time.

Wow, interesting read relating to a population/group of men and toys...to each their own I guess. A little different than buying Friends sets for investing I would say. http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/2013/06/26/bronys_men_who_dig_my_little_pony_feel_misunderstood.html

  18. I was thinking of this earlier today - I was trying to decide what the best Star Wars Video game of all time is. I am having trouble choosing between SW: Shadows of the Empire and Battlefront 2. I think I have to go with Shadows of the empire because i must've played through it 100 times. What do you all think?

  20. Started by raynre,

So having been reintroduced (had a big collection when I was a kid) to Lego through my son, I've been wondering if there are any comprehensive and feature-heavy social networks out there dedicated to Lego that people enjoy using (for non-kid fans)? The one that stands out in my findings is TLG's own Rebrick, but I hear that it's more like a Lego-specific Pinterest. I guess I'm trying to find a site that does it all - eg. cataloging sets, sharing custom-builts, reviews, news, non-Flash/HTML5 webpage games between registered members (say like players posting images of original creations based on the pieces of a certain set, then the registered community voting for the…

  21. Obviously brickpicker is the best LEGO website around, but what are your other "must read" websites for news, deals, etc? I like toysnbricks.com and thebrickblogger.com for lego news and sales. I like brickshow.tv for video reviews. What websites do you recommend?

  22. I spent lots of money last month, picked up haunted house, all of the tmnt and Lone Ranger sets and motorised at at I was busted when my wife finished work early and met the postman at the front door

  23. Ok so I admit it's kinda weird that I spend so much time here and haven't put a set together in well over 25 years. What's even funnier is I have had about 10k worth of LEGO sets go through my hand in the 6 month and have about 130(ish) sets right now... I figure if I am going to do a set for the first time in forever, why not make it a good one!!! I want to build a set and I am going to let the Brickpicker community decide. It is going to go as a display piece somewhere in my house or office. i would like for it to be something that near EOL. As much as I want to build a set, I am in it for the $$ so I would like to find something that you guys think wil…

  25. Please move this thread if this isn't the right place for it. What Treasures, Gems, or Garbage did your Lego Bulk Lot Hold? I wanted to start this thread for awhile, what I would like to see is the hidden gems you found in the box wether it be lego (cool or rare pieces) or something else neat other then lego ( toys, coins, etc) or something crazy like (glass, metal garbage, etc). Photos would always be good so the forum could help you identify an item. I have a few things to post like a small c3po made of metal I think and some small plastic camels and elephants.
