I listed a sealed 30th Gold C3P0 and some person kept emailing and asking how he can find one in a sealed boxed set. Needless to say, he never placed a Buy It Now offer after I asked if he was interested. Then I finally received a decent offer that I accepted. The UK buyer never paid after asking me twice if shipping will require a signature. I won an open UCS Vader Tie Defender and the seller doesn't want to claim my payment via PayPal. Although feedback was low, his email is legit. I just sent him one. My son wanted a Batman 1 Batmobile so I won one, Auction stated complete except for the road block. 16 minor elements ended up missing from both vehicles and se…

jaisonline merged and created this thread... I created this post for people to discuss eBay technical subjects such as web site availability, errors, accidental feedback left, searching, etc.... This thread is NOT for shipping questions unless there is a technical question related to the web site as we have many shipping threads already. Use the thread below. The 2 posts below might be merged at some point. If done, I'll update the links. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/2210-international-shipping-program-advice/ http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/11566-ebaycom-shipping-questions-and-answers/?p=328352 This thread is also for no…

#donbee recently shared a "feel good" story in the Fruitcakes thread - I really enjoyed it, especially since I had a few recent experiences like it myself. Thought a thread highlighting positive might be worthwhile (perhaps even stickied?). Shipping SNAFU. Two weeks ago sold a small $3 PAB item to a buyer in Michigan. Timely, accurately, securely shipped. But in reviewing my "paid and shipped" queue, I noticed the tracking had stalled out at my local (Minnesota) USPS hub. Messaged the buyer to let him know I was unsure of the reason for the delay, but assumed responsibility for it, and would gladly refund his shipping costs (if it showed up late) or a full refund …

New 30-day return policy requirement for Top Rated Plus listings Starting May 1, 2016, to earn the Top Rated Plus discount and benefits, listings must offer a minimum 30-day return policy with money back*. We understand this means some sellers will have to change their selling practices but it's an important step in making sure Top Rated Plus listings provide service that today's buyers expect—and that we reward those sellers who deliver it.

So ebay apparently learned a new trick, that old dog. Previously, any orders containing multiple items would combine weights and go with the biggest box of all items to calculate the shipping -- they assume you are going to put them in one box and that that box must be the same size as the biggest item 🤨 Since I prepackage everything and use boxes matched to the sets (with some room for a wrap or two of bubble wrap), I'm always going to need larger boxes and usually find myself in volumetric pricing territory. So, I've disabled combined shipping and just refund the difference to a buyer if they want me to try to combine boxes and reduce shipping. Well,…

Hello all! Curious what the program is to be able to use the drop down menu for selling Lego parts on Ebay. Not sure how many different pieces it has available, but the one I'm referring to is for a standard 2x4 brick. In the listing, you can use the drop down menu to select colors and another drop down menu for the amounts(might be sold in amounts of 5 or 10 or 25, etc.). Not sure if its on the Ebay side or an outside program. Also, if anyone knows, do you have to use your own picture or is one supplied to match the color chosen by the buyer? Any help would be appreciated for either the program mentioned above or an easier way to list individual pieces on Ebay…

Hi All, I'm not sure if this has been discussed before. On the last 3 of my ebay selling I got buyers with this address: 18432 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR 97230. I've been cancelling the transactions. Can you share your experiences with this address? Thank you.

Just a quick question for everyone who sells on eBay... I have a rather established eBay account, been a member since 2004, never have had an issue with buying or selling, however, today I sold a Lego set to someone who has zero feedback. I have never sold to anyone who does not have any feedback. I have read some horror stories on here about these Lego scams and am curious of everyone else's experience with zero feedback buyers. He purchased the item via "Buy it Now" and paid immediately with PayPal and the funds are showing in my PayPal account so I think everything should be okay, right?

I just want to share below youtube video, so everyone can be careful when selling on eBay. Basically, the guy on the video suddenly generated about $2.5M sales and was not able to provide invoices. This could happen with anybody sourcing items via garage sales/thrift stores/estate sales, etc.

Curious what everyone's opinion is on the "New" Listing Tool. If you still see the old HTML style screen when creating a new listing, there should be an option on the top of the page to check out the new tool. You can switch back to the old one anytime. When you switch, you can see the new layout is a little different but still close enough to the old one. Just FYI, eBay is rolling out this new tool for every seller soon. I put New in quotes because eBay has made this tool available for (some?) sellers for at least 2 years. I opted in to use it early last year, but opted out after a few weeks due to slowness and bugs in the tool. I opted back in recently and th…

I sold the 6166 Big Brick Box set not long ago and just got a message from a buyer who told me that her son playing with those LEGO bricks and got rashes. She included pictures in her message. The brick box I sent to her is brand new and therefore sealed. Has anyone heard about allergy to the LEGO bricks?

I have a buyer who made a not too terrible offer on an item. It was auto declined but he has been messaging me. Wants to purchase at his figure and then send me a USPS overnight shipping label- at his expense, because he wants it sooner. We offer free economy shipping (which would be FedEx at $25... UPS overnight would cost me, through ebay, $135 where 2nd day would be $50ish). Maybe he has a sweet shipping deal he can get on his end that I can't.. I don't know and I don't want to overly engage with him if I am not going to do it. The only reason I have any thoughts of consideration is that they have over 3,000 feedback at 100%. Anyone have experience with b…

I am in a little bit of a difficult situation and need some advice. I sold two comics for $25 plus $5 shipping. Mailed them off to the verified paypal address via USPS. No problems. The buyer opens a case on me for item not received. I check the tracking and it says the item was delivered. I send a message telling him it was delivered and he says he didn't get it. I tell him to call his local post office. He does and says the package could not be delivered because there was something wrong with the shipping label and it is being sent back to me and that it was scanned delivered by accident. I tell me him I'll keep an eye out for it but the tracking says delivered so that'…

Hi, I sold a $320 set to someone with feedback of 2. From old forum posts this seems to be legit address but When I try the USPS to print label I get this. Failed to obtain services from USPS.ShipTo address is invalid or unsupported. It works if I use Fedex.. I read on Amazon seller that shipping to this address...some are fraud freight forwarders. Any advice? Michael XJROEG NE Sandy Blvd 18432 Portand OR 97251-6835

I think I already have my answer but in the off chance someone has a solution -- is it possible to restrict who can bid on your items other than the two filters (countries you don't ship to or people with unpaid claims)? I have some items up on the site and they're getting all these bids from people with nonsensical users names (leotig934gj3k) that were created today and have no feedback or history. I'm not even going to bother sending anything out but then I fear I will just end up taking the hit from Ebay for being a bad seller. Ebay "customer service" just said they understand my hesitancy but couldn't really help me any.

Every Tuesday, ebay pays me my funds from the prior week of sales, into my bank account. And every Tuesday when I try to transfer that $ from my bank into PayPal, I get an error message that something went wrong on the Paypal end. Coincidence? This happen to anyone else? I've tried about 5 times today, no luck. And this happens almost every week. I usually have to wait a day or two to move the $.

Been on eBay managed payouts for a while now through my store. Never had any issue up until a week ago. I now have 6 payouts that say that they were declined and waiting to retry? I've never had an issue before and nothing has changed on my accounts or bank. Called my CU and they said there haven't been any attempts made for deposits so it's on eBay's end. As we all know it is also now impossible to talk to anyone at eBay as they no longer have a phone service nor customer service🤬 Not sure what to do. Community is full of similar complaints about not actually being able to get ahold of anyone with eBay for resolving issues.

The 20K and 200 sale rule is out the window this year with paypal. It doesn't matter how much you did through your paypal account. You will be 1099-K and sent to IRS. This won't be an issue for most just fyi.

Thank you for being a Bucks member, and a valuable part of our eBay community. We’re reaching out to tell you about upcoming changes to the eBay Bucks program. Maybe I'm paranoid about this situation but I'd like someone else's advice before I make a decision. I have just had a set sell for £300+ on Ebay. Buyer has paid, address is real but can't double check details with PayPal. Account was only set up today and has zero feedback. Address seems legit but alarm bells are ringing. I'm tempted to cancel, I have done previously when in similar circumstances. What would you do? Contact buyer and say something? Any advice welcome
