It seems that Toys R Us will have their own "May the 4th" special event at participating stores. Build an exclusive mini build of JEK-14's Stealth Starfighter featured in the upcoming Yoda Chronicles from 12-2pm. Here's the article on The Brick Fan.

Two separate things here, first I am surprised at how many people post pictures on Insta and FB of their "FLego", that's what they call it, fake lego builds. There is an amazing MOC that requires 2 1/2 Rivendell that I was looking at building, but even if not buying the minifigures you are looking at $1K if buying Lego. Also, the Titanic seems to be a big target for fake Lego and most of the UCS SW ships. I haven't looked at this in years so had no idea how prolific it had become. Quality with numbered bags seems to be way up based on reviews and prices are way down with new "official" stores offering purchase options in the USA. Printed instructions and even real "Lego"…

Is this common, or has this happened to others? About a year ago I purchased the Darth Vader Meditation Chamber lego set on clearance at Walmart. It was sealed - definitely. I finally got around to opening it last night for a build and lo-and-behold I don’t know what the heck was inside. First of all, no instructions. Then, a lot of the bags were not Star Wars related, and the pieces in the bags looked old, dented, scratched, etc. It looks like someone just threw some random bags in there. I confirmed it was sealed - unless some hacks have figured out a way to reseal a box and make it look like it was never opened to swap out bags and pieces?

😁 https://www.azfamily.com/2023/09/22/man-accused-stealing-7000-high-value-lego-sets-police-say/ LAS VEGAS (KVVU/Gray News) - A Las Vegas man is accused of stealing more than $7,000 in high-value Lego sets from multiple Target stores, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. Season 4 just aired its first episode a couple days ago which was boat themed with some fun builds. This time around the grand prize (aside from cash) is the winning design will become an official LEGO set. I do not recognize anyone in the current lineup other than Christopher from DuckBricks. Looking forward to watching the upcoming challenges in store and seeing the sparks of creativity fly.

Yes I am a geeky Star Wars nerd and already watched the first episode early this morning. Will keep it short and sweet. I thought it was very good and look forward to seeing where they go with it. I am sure this thread will fill up with spoilers and episode discussion, so stay away if you do not want to get upset. I also thought Disney+ was well organized and put together. Looking forward to watching some other movies I haven't seen in a long time.

A friend/coworker is cleaning out his garage and he gave me a huge box of Lego today. I started going through it and it's an incredible quantity of stuff; Lego, Technic, Bionicle - probably 50,000 pieces. Mostly Lego but also some MegaBlocks and other stuff (which I'm separating out). Some of the Lego stuff is pretty old and it's all pretty dirty. Can anyone give me some idea of how to clean it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/instructions.

"One way out." Each time I think "This episode is the best Star Wars I've seen," it always keeps escalating somehow. This show is a GOOD show without magic space wizards or laser swords! I am very much surprised and on the edge of my seat often with the acting, the set pieces, and the storytelling. The writing is so much more in depth and complex for something I would've never expected from Disney Star Wars. Also casting Stellan Skarsgård is PHENOMENAL! Chef's kiss!

So just the other day I found the Phantasm DVD collection with all five films at Best Buy I believe for like $12. I'm going to be binge watching that alongside the annual Rocky Horror Picture Show viewing with family (my mother) as is tradition. (Her TV's bigger.) Anyway I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween! And may The Great Pumpkin leave lots of LEGO! Oh and for anyone curious, one day left (as of posting) to pre-order the 80s horror documentary "In Search Of Darkness" limited run.

Hey all my fellow Brickpickers. I just posted a job on Upwork.com looking for a freelancer to create some pins from existing blog content on 2 of our websites... And then came over here to browse the feed, and then I thought I would ask if anyone here is/knows an expert in that field. We have 100+ existing articles across two sites that we need turned into pins, and then 8-12 new articles a month as well. looking to test someone out on 10-20 pins, and then do a long term thing if it works out. Just thought I would put it out there.

OK, today's silly question.... What is the difference between MISB & NISB ? This has been bugging me for a while. I always tick both on the portfolio when I add sets.
