Anyone have experience cleaning ink off of Lego? One of my minifigs I got in a bulk lot has ballpoint pen ink on it [emoji46]

I've been offered the following minifigures and I'm not experienced enough to know if there is any "additional" value in these guys other than the marginal price a minifigure costs (minimums). Does anyone see any uncommon or more rare minifigures in this picture. The picture is not the best either which doesn't help at all either. I'm seeing a bunch of pirates which I don't think carry much value on the market, but could be wrong too. Thank you for any feedback. The same picture is uploaded twice in case one has a little more clarity than the other.

Just wondering how you folks make custom dividers for your akro-Mils drawers. I have model 10124 that was on sale at Amazon.

  5. In about 60 days, the Army is deploying me overseas to run an Emergency Room for almost 10 months. I have mentioned it casually in a couple posts, but now I'm really trying to put together my LEGO purchasing game plan. Here is my question: If you couldn't shop or purchase any LEGO sets in-person for the next year, and only purchase LEGO sets via online vendors, what approach would you take? For reference, I will have regular access to reliable internet service, and my wife can place any deliveries sent to the house in storage. I reguarly purchase online now via LEGO Shop at Home/eBay/BL/Amazon and AWD/Target. Thanks for any ideas or input!

  6. sorry if this has been answered before but how do you guys store sets you bought for investment to be sold in 3 or 5 years time ? Do you put the original lego set in another box and seal it , do you bubble wrap the original box, do you use silica gels to keep moisture out, do you cover them with blankets etc. what is the best way to insure that the original box stays in near perfect condition after many year of storage ?

Hey guys, Beef here and I'd like to share with you my very first Monday Haul here on the forum. Every Monday I'll update you with what I've purchased throughout the week. This week ended up being a BIG ONE, I took advantage of double VIP points this last weekend and grabbed a few things and I also found some deals on some older sets at a local retailer near me. Hope you enjoy Next weekend I'll be attending Wizard World Chicago, so hopefully I'll find something fun for you there. Till then, thanks for watching.

As we are nearing the end of the year and before crazy selling season begins, I thought it might be neat to compile rumours and speculation we have heard about the 2016 Exclusives. Over the past 8 years or so, there have been around 8 mid to large exclusives released each year. These are the semi confirmed sets: 1) 75098 Hoth Battle UCS 250 euros DATE TBC 2) 42056 IP Technic 40th anniversary car 300 euros Summer 16 3) 75827 Ghostbusters HQ JAN 16 4) 10251 Brick Bank 160 euros JAN 16 5) Landmark "Big Ben" DATE TBC We can also expect a couple more large Star Wars sets. People have been talking about an ISD, a Snowspeeder, maybe a new DS and why not a BB8? It´s also been a w…

I plan to build a large table for my daughter and I to play on. I have some larger sets that I would like to open up and build. I thought it would be nice to have a thread around the topic, as I'm sure a large percentage of us have some type of lego table. Does anyone have experience building their own table for play? Any thoughts on what you would or would not do again, if you had another chance? Any designs that worked well or poorly? Feel free to share pics. Thanks!

Hi, mods, if this is something that is addressed somewhere else, please move this. I got a 42009 MK II Crane last year, which I opened at Christmas and attempted to build. However it appears to be missing a significant number of parts, so building it was impossible. The main part missing appeared to be medium stone 13M beams. I am now in the process of separating and counting all the pieces to cross reference to the inventory on Brickset, which is tedious and time consuming and not a lot of fun. How frequently do people come across brand new unopened sets with missing parts? What sort of percentage of all sets are missing pieces? I was thinking this could be a b…

The quality standards at LEGO have long been understood to be among the best, but I doubt that could be accepted as fact any longer. This Brickset article mentions the latest, but there have been far more issues of late - What are the reasons? Can it, will it be stopped? If not, how bad will things get? http://brickset.com/article/16630/what-s-wrong-with-the-x-wing

So today I overheard a Smyths employee telling someone looking at Lego that Lego in it's box is worth more than gold. We are all screwed, it's the shoe shine boy moment. Ironbrick was right all along, the world is ending, the end is nigh.

I have this three story townhouse I got four years ago and would like to know the price I could sell it for. I'm a sophomore in high school and have no need for legos, I am saving up for a Wacom manga and comic tablet. I got this four years ago for about 60 dollars. I assume it is worth much more now. It is fully intact except for the small tree house that was supposed to be in the yard. It easily broke when I tried to play with it, it was a poor design. The only other thing that's missing is a part of the fence, and tree that is due to my baby brother.

Had a great thrift store find but I am kicking myself. Stopped by a Goodwill yesterday, they had 5 bags of Lego's for $10 each. Could tell there were mega blocks mixed in, couldn't see any minifigures, nothing stood out other than a basketball set. I was certain that the parts of sets were mixed through all five bags. I picked the two biggest bags, that seemed to have the most actual Lego bricks, made the purchase and drove 90 minutes home. I figured I would sort them out and toss them in the Lego bin. While sorting I punched in some numbers to see what sets the odd pieces belonged to, here is what I found: 7163 Republic Gunship (I have very few white piece…

As I was checking my just updated Brickfolio, I noticed I surpased the 2,000,000 mark of Lego Bricks. Maybe it's time to sell some of these bricks? Started this hobby about 7 years ago. Or maybe i can build a real house with these(my 5 y.o. son was asking me. Anyhow, I'm sure there are other Brickpickera with maybe 10,000,000+ bricks out there? It's been real fun so far so I think I'll justvkeep going. It took me 3737 sets to get here so my next goal maybe to own 5000 seales Lego sets. Anybody else out there who is a Brickmillionair?

  20. "You don't know you're in the good old days until you've actually left them." I am not sure how many of you have read my postings over the last 2 months since I joined in January, so I will give you a very brief intro to my background. While I am a relatively new Brickpicker member, I am certainly not new to this game. I was in it huge from 2004-2007, Had many UCS xwings, UCS Tie Interceptors, UCS ISD, UCS Y-wings, UCS Snowspeeders, CTT, Cloud Cities etc. While I was not an emazer level operation, I was running about 3,000-4,000 in volume on an average month and reached Bronze Powerseller level, so not too bad. However, in 2007, du…

Hello everyone, My Lego collection will not stop growing and I have finally reached my limit of keeping the boxes. As of now I flatten them and put them in the closet. My question is....what now? Will there ever come a time when the boxes are worth anything? Do I hold on to them, sell them, burn them, or does anyone want them for some reason? I have just shy of a thousand sets so I know its hundreds of boxes. Im in Alabama if anyone thinks they would like them.

Hello all, first post here! Sorry if this has been asked before, with a quick search I couldn't find the answer. So I'm from Finland and got very intrested in lego-investments. After digesting the idea for a while, digging up bits of various information and following the thumbler set's retirement, I finally decided to jump in. I bought the sandcrawler set from Lego-store last night as a bit of a rash decision. It cost me 350 euros in Finland. Now after looking up more on the set I noticed it's being sold for 300 dollars in US. So I paid about 70e overprice for my investment? Can I expect to make money in the aftermarket with this set and is brickvesting in gener…
