Looking for feedback from members who currently play &/or collect pieces from the X-Wing Miniature cards/dice game. My son asked me about it and I trust the discussions between members on this site to inform a) how much fun/playability the game offers b) whether the pieces might have any potential resale value if/when my son loses interest at a later date. Read amazon reviews and the wiki; I see they are releasing a 2nd series and the breadth of offerings from the manufacturer over many years leads me to believe this is a popular game. Any advice appreciated.

I can’t really find a good pricing for used 2007 falcons. Not many are being posted to eBay right now. I think the new one looks better, but do y’all think over time when they’re both retired the 2007 will be pricier than the current? What’s the consensus too just on the sets themselves? Which one do y’all like better?

Couple questions to the Knowledgeable folks here. . . . Where do you go to buy a full box of Minifigure Series? Is it worth buying the whole box? Is it worth just sitting in the store when they come out and feeling through about 30 bags until you figure out you have them all? Thoughts? (Or link me to a thread where this has already been discussed - although im curious of an update on where people plan to source a WHOLE box for the upcoming series and possibly Disney 2 series.)

I think I just entered into a new era of Legodom. Loved Lego as a kid, emerged from the dark ages as an adult for the Star Wars initial release, then returned to a second dark age with work-and-life-stuff. Arrival of The Next Generation gave me reason to step back into it, along with a mandate that I get some sort of hobby that doesn't involve a kitchen remodel when my partner is out of town for a long weekend. Thus Era 3 began, and for the last few years I've been overdoing it, following your antics, sales and deal hunting. I got into the sales game. All progressing. Then, I bought a few yard sale lots. Then a few more. Then a few more. Then …

My investment plan seemed to have been straight forward until this weekend where I ran into snag. I buy Lego new in box for long time hold investment and I buy bulk lots for the entertainment of building. Here's where the waters get muddied. I bought 2 boxes of bulk Lego and found the Black Pearl. No sails, and no instructions, but sealed bags and the ship parts. Not sure If I have all of the bags. Here is the question. Do I open them? What would you do?

Hi everyone. Well, after thinking about it for the last couple years, I decided to start up a real life physical retail store selling lego. I’ve been working on getting the space ready for the last couple months, and will open the doors this saturday, October 20th. Starting out, I will be the only employee, but I’m sure that will change very soon. I’ll at least have to hire someone to host the birthday parties we will offer. Since i’m doing this independently, instead of joining a franchise like bricks and minifigs, i don’t exactly know what all to expect, but i’m sure it will be fun. If anyone here is in the rhode island area, come check out the store and say hi.

I was wondering how you guys all display your sets and minifigures. Do you use Acrylic Cases for the musuem quality dust free look. Most importantly what do you think of these cases. Link I am thinking about doing something similar and wondering where I can find these cases for purchase. Hopefully some of you super deal hunters know of a good site.I think they are about the size you would use for a deck of cards but without the outside clasps almost an AFA look. Please Help. THANKS

Just curious if anyone has dabbled in custom printing their own mini figures? I've heard water slide decals are a good way to start. Others have mentioned investing in a pad printer which is insanely expensive. If anyone does this, I would love to see some of your work and hear about your process. I really am not looking to buy custom minifigs, just pick someones brain who has experience with it! Thanks!

I've been collecting the modular series since the beginning. Unfortunately with 14 official sets and no apparent desire by LEGO to end the series, it has become overwhelming to display all of these sets at once. I also have young children that love to tear them to pieces so I find myself constantly repairing them. I would like to pick maybe 3 or 4 of my favorites and put them on a shelf high up on the wall and will sell what sets remain. Disregarding the monetary value of these sets which would you pick? Café Corner Market Street Green Grocer Fire Brigade Grand Emporium Pet Shop Town Hall Palace Cinema Parisian Restaurant Detective's Offic…

Black Friday miracles abound. Sold my first Exo-suit on Amazon Canada and will even make $10 off the thing after fees and shipping. I have 7 left. Bought them and a few more at a discount and had been slowly getting rid of them as birthday present and charity donations over the years but now one has sold and I raised the price $10. They said I was mad, mad I yells ya......

So I noticed that for the Speed Champions Dodge set and Architecture SF set, the shelves at Target, Walmart, and Amazon have recently (Feb 25th) been re-stocked after these sets became scarce shortly after their initial release in Jan. Also they quickly reached approximately 15% off at all three retailers. I also remember back in July the Hogwarts Train became scarce and then by October the shelves have been fully stocked ever since. To the experienced vets here; does all this sound familiar or have you found it too difficult to predict re-stocking schedules.

My husband has done wiring to some of our lego display sets so that they light up (Trevi Fountain, specifically). When we build the Ferris Wheel, he has big plans to do the same. However, these would work way better than wires. i-Brix: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1426110532/i-brix-wireless-lighting-system-for-lego-building Anybody heard of them?

Many thought the China region sets were pretty fantastic...and hopeful that the sets would eventually be released worldwide (this could still happen); and in the mean-time the sets have been popping up in the US (some Independent Brick stores and ofcourse Ebay) ranging from $150-$200 (relatively modest gains given shipping). That said...many believed that these sets would get a big run-up leading into Chinese New Years (this past Tue). That did not happen. I am wondering why...great sets...global popularity...and global holiday lead-up (that often includes gifts/red envelopes) [hoping this thread captures for prosterity some of the mis-judged expectations..…

I'll go first Disney will go full press on marketing the 90 year old mouse...as a tester for the century mark coming up...ANYTHING w/ that 90 year emblem becomes collectible...especially high quality name brand licensed material NOT MADE BY DISNEY...enter the Brick Headz Mickey...I predict unprecedented growth 100x RRP for a MINT IN BOX (this will also start a new precedent on box condition valuation since the brickheadz boxes are so important for value...non-lego investors will see gold and keep inflating the price until the mouse turns 100. Instantly making this a top 10 mickey collectible going into 2028. Side note: popularity of the collectible boos…

From Brickset: Looking forward to the return of City Space Theme. Clear out your Echo Bases if you're still holding them. I wouldn't be surprised to see the AT-AT make a return later in 2019. Too much Hoth right now available to not have an enemy walker to fight... but they did **** the bed with AoH so you can never be too sure. Looks like the smaller creator amusement park theme is going to keep rolling. Surprised they didn't take advantage of the Ferris Wheel retiring and make a small Ferris Wheel, versus a small Carousel to compete with the larger version.

Was browsing on Ebay when I noticed this new logo against some lego sellers, could Ebay also start gating Lego sellers? Seems unlikely to me, but guess everyone should always have a backup plan if Amazon and now potentially Ebay start restricting sellers.

A craigslist lego hobbyist wanna sell electric train (#7938), the tram from #60097, bonus including lots of tracks (raised support), and train stations/platforms as well. All for $125. Is this a good deal? I'm new to train collection and trying to start collecting as a hobbit. They doesn't look very playable compared to cargo ones.

Hi, What are good 2018/2019 exclusive sets to buy now as an investment for later? I like multiple sets like the Bugatti Chiron (42083) or Y-Wing Starfighter (75181) but are these smart investments for later? What are thing to look at and what type of sets are not overproduced? How can you recognize good sets? ?

I have been collecting lego since I was young, about 25 years now. I recently lost my entire collection in the California wildfires and while I remember nearly all of the sets that I had. I don't remember all of them or have any real documentation of what I had purchased. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to estimate my collection for insurance to reimburse me what they can? I know roughly the weight and size of boxes they were all in, the collection begins with sets in the early 90s all the way to a few months ago. Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

https://mashable.com/article/republican-attack-lego-youtuber-robbed-crowdfunding-campiagn/#P_sC6UrnsgqK Strangers are stepping up to help a YouTuber rebuild his Lego collection after thieves made off with thousands of dollars worth of Lego sets and destroyed years of his hard work. The YouTuber, who goes by republicattak, is known for his intricate videos of elaborate Star Wars Lego sets. On Friday, he took his 12,000 subscribers by surprise when he posted a video simply titled "bye." In it, the red-faced and visibly distressed YouTuber tells his fans that he has just come home from a work trip to find that burglars have stolen and destroyed his sets. "I do…

With the illegal reproduction of LEGO minifigures and bricks by counterfeiters on the rise, I thought it would be a help to the community as a whole to show how to identify fakes and frauds. I am quite unfamiliar myself as to what to look for. Photos would be appreciated as well. Thanks... So my question is this...How does a LEGO fan and collector identify a counterfeit LEGO minifigure or brick?
