I am not sure if this is helpful to anyone (probably just me), I created this simple page for myself a while back and it helps me get a quick look at the sets on eBay and if there are any good deals. This is nothing fancy at all. If you don't use it, no big deal. For me, I just get a quick overview and I jump through set numbers quickly to see any sets I am interested in. I also use it to see how quickly some sets might be moving each day like the Death Star or these Raptors. Raptor Escape: http://www.brickpicker.com/ebay-search/?set=75920&minprice=38 Death Star: http://www.brickpicker.com/ebay-search/?set=10188&minprice=450 You can even add a &maxprice=60…

Ed and Jeff, Is it alright if we consolidate a list of Brickpicker members' eBay IDs? This way, members can buy retired sets from other members on eBay which should increase the odds of a problem free transaction. I'm asking first due to privacy / policy concerns either you of might have.

The new site design looks great, but I've noticed that all of the emailed subscriptions now only show a "preview" of the new message that was posted. Like the first x number of characters and not the entire message and all the content along with it. Can this functionality be changed back to sending the full post content rather than just a preview? Thanks!

Hi, Starting sometime today, all of my email subscriptions have only had some of the post's content in the email and then followed by "...". Like, only a certain number of characters are showing and then I have to click on the "View Post" link to see the whole post. Again, this just started at some point today. Did something change with the site? Is there a way for me to change this back so I see the full post instead of just the first half sentence or so? Thanks!

When we launched the Brickpoints store, I know many of you were probably thinking, "How the heck can I earn that many Brickpoints?" There will be plenty of ways to earn points and then be rewarded with picking a set you really want. There are A LOT of LEGO sets!! Its hard keeping up with all the data, especially as new sets come along. Well here is where Brickpicker Members can help and earn points for doing so. Every set guide page will have a link to take you to a data page where you can enter in values (CORRECT VALUES PLEASE ) of information that we may not have, or maybe we have wrong. If we are missing the number of pieces or retail values, you can enter it in…

A little while back Brickset posted this inventory data for the EU. We weren't sure what would happen with it, so we wanted to wait a while before posting up any page that included this info. It's been a while and they are still posting it on their site, so we are going to make it available here as well. I am working on new a new price guide template and this information will be included there as well. I will be adding the charts to it soon as well. These pages allow you to easily see the themes as a group. You will also be able to see the number of sales for the prior day and the percentage of inventory sold. http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/eu-inventory.cfm

Disclaimer: This is an opinion piece Brickpicker from an article standpoint is becoming a barking carny yelling "BUY BUY BUY". This site is a GREAT information source and LEGO investment tool for all, that being said I need to see a more unbiased opinion when it comes to the articles. This would greatly benefit the reputation of the site as a trusted source to use. (Anyone that can potentially benefit from click-thru affiliate revenue from this site is not considered an unbiased contributor) I understand that the investment losers might be harder to find in this market, so I can see the ease of saying BUY BUY BUY, but the losers are out there and need to be addresse…

Hello LEGO fans... After months of discussion about fake, counterfeit, knockoff, illegal, garbage, and crap sets and companies, the BrickPicker administration and moderator team have decided to remove this discussion completely from the BrickPicker forums. I had hoped that people could discuss these topics in a mature manner, without promoting them, but that failed miserably. It is unfortunate that there is a small, but vocal, group of people who support these illegal products and will try to push these products at any given chance. For whatever reason, they consider these products legitimate. BrickPicker does not... THIS IS A LEGO FAN SITE and will re…

I know there are videos of people unboxing sets, and some sets are easier than others to identify how many bags (like 3x bag 1's, and 2x bag 2's, ... 3x bag 14's), and that these bags are in a sub box, etc. Anyway what about brick picker making a catalog of the sets, and as a community when we unbox any set that is not in this catalog take note of how many of each bag and take pictures of say all of the bag 1's and bag 2's, etc.? I have thought about doing this for some time heck whats another domain (when you already have 160, lol), and I already have servers in a colo. I know I started the writing the framework for this. I would be happy to help and or do…

Ed received the first copy of the book to review from the publishers and I am finally getting my first look at it. I have to say, it's pretty exciting to see months of work in a completed form. It really looks great and very proud of it. There is only about a month to go before it's released to the public which will be both exciting and nerve wracking to see what everyone thinks. If you haven't preordered it yet, pre-order it from Amazon now!

I would like to congratulate Mr. Stephen Rockefeller on hitting 5000 BrickPoints before any other member. He has chosen the Brickmaster Imperial Shuttle as a prize an as soon as I can get my butt to the Post Office, I will mail it to him. ;-) I also would like to mention that Jeff has added a BRICKPOINTS LOG that enables you to keep track of your Brickpoints. Don't forget, we still have 25 set review spots left for first time quality set reviews. Those first time set reviews will receive 500 Brickpoints when the contest is completed. So start reviewing and posting on the forums. You can hit 5000 points like Stephen did and get a prize. Thanks...Ed Mack

I can't log in manually to this site, as it says my password is incorrect. I can only log in by clicking on a registration link in my email... The big problem though, is that clicking on "forgotten your password?" on the login box just takes you back to the forum page.

I was thinking about this idea, but I'm not sure how hard this would be (maybe it's already here). With all of the Minecraft frenzy going around I thought it would be cool if users could be rewarded by giving useful information such as tip-offs to good deals. Kind of like reddit where you could up vote someone's post. Who know's what you would do with the points, but it could be some forum rep. I know right now we have the bricks next to someone's name. I think that's based on how active they are with in the forums.

You may have noticed seeing a bunch of mini flags next to user names throughout the forum and wonder what that is about. In the previous version of the forum we did have a plugin that identified the location of where people are from. Overall I think this is good know since the LEGO situation is different in all parts world. Currency, discounts, inventory, special releases and just the overall buying and selling of LEGO is different. At least now you may have an idea that they may be talking from experience from 5,000 miles away from where you are. There is also an added benefit of finding people that are local to you to strike up a conversation. I kno…

The internet isn't getting any easier. Process and rules are good, nothing wrong with it. Even when you try to follow the rules, most people don't really care. This post and future ones like it are to become information that anyone here on this forum can learn for themselves or share with other users in hopes to make for a better user experience for them as well as for us. This post is about managing your content. On any given month, Brickpicker averages a million emails and can spike up to two million if there exciting things going on. The number of people that think the best way to remove yourself from getting emails is to hit the SPAM button. That is bad and t…

What is the policy regarding trading or selling on this forum? I have a couple of zombies sets I wanna get rid of without going through ebay. I am looking for $210 for both 9465. Or I'm willing to trade for the Kingdoms joust 10223. Send me a message if your interested. If your in the las vegas, Los angeles or Joplin missouri areas this month I can meet you. Is this kinda thing frowned upon on this forum? Sorry first time posting here.

Hello, At Brickpicker, we strive to provide fast and easy access to the great content supplied by members. Jeff recently made an awesome change to how forum searches work. Now when typing a set name or number in the forum textbox, the predicted top results will appear automatically and are click-able. note: You can also still search the original way. Here are three examples. I want to ask a question about that popular Batman Arkham. However, I can't quickly find the main thread (aka topic). Type "arkham" in the search box and the most popular Arkham threads appear automatically. This is way cool and easy, right? Now I can post my quest…

First, let me apologize for the downtime in the forum we just had. I was not expecting that. I thought I was doing a quick maintenance release to get ready for this 4.1 update of the forum. I guess they just pushed the 4.1 update and luckily it went through without any errors. One cool thing you will want to do is allow the browser notifications. I think it is very cool if you are active in the forum. Below is a large list of updates in the release. The activity stream is also a big update. You can no configure multiple streams for yourself to get the information you look at most often. Key Changes Changes and New Features Include: …

Before the recent forum update, whenever I use to click on "view new content" and go on a thread, it used to take me to the first unread post, now it just goes to the first page. Is anyone else having this issue and know how to fix?
