Just wondering, what do the number of single bricks right under our names signify? For example, I currently have 2 bricks, and stephen_rockefeller has 4 I believe. Many other people have 1. What do they mean?

Ed and I have decided in order to help get the new set review feature off the ground, we are going to offer the first 100 unique members the opportunity to get 500 Brickpoints for submitting an approved review. With the release of this latest site update, it will be the start of more member interactivity. We want our members to have a voice and share their thoughts on the investing potential of all these sets. There is so much to learn from one another. I know I love reviews. Whether it's LEGO, video game or movie reviews I like to read what the different point of views from individuals. Many times it's helped me make a better purchasing decision. We are not lo…

Anyone have any guesses on the next BrickPoints Contest? I am going to guess that the prize is going to be eithe a LEGO Shop at Home giftcard or one of the following: - 10228 Haunted House - 10224 Town Hall - 10225 UCS R2-D2 - 8110 Unimog - 10227 UCS B-Wing - 10232 Palace Cinema Based on the results that Ed got from the survey on a "Hypothetical Contest", looks like the Gift Card is the most popular, though it would pose a couple difficulties, as we also have many international members here who have inflated set costs (I feel for you guys! ). You can see that thread HERE. We will get the to know the actual contest tomorrow, April 1st, …

I don't know if I should be posting in this thread, but I couldn't find any other remotely on topic. We all, more or less, use the Brickindex to check out which sets are top performers during the last 6 months. But I'm wondering if we could also see which sets are top performers in the last year, 5 years or from when they first showed up on the market. I already shared this idea with Ed. The main point would be to have an index where we could see the best sets over their lifespans and how well they appreciated. I bet there are a lot of people wondering how much did this and that set cost when they started selling and how much they are selling for today. Thanks …

I have a friend from our church and he's got a huge LEGO collection but I don't think he knows about this site and I think he would like this place and to be able to see how much his collection is worth. We don't talk much in person but we chat over Facebook sometimes, so my question is if I sent him a link over Facebook would I get some brickpoints?

Apologies - I'm new here - so at least I have an excuse if I ask anything dumb. - Since reviews are starting to become a more integrated piece of this site - is there a place to track your reviews like there is your brickfolio? I would be nice to have a user dashboard or that would include this info like it already does for brickpoints and all of the other inputted data. Not to pimp other sites, but www.dgcoursereview.com, another site I use really does a good job tracking and developing reviews for their site. Makes the whole place very user friendly and user driven. Might be a good example to follow if this is indeed going to become a bigger focus on an alread…

Are you going to remove my thread for posting here? Clear my brickpoints? Deactivate my account? Hunt me down and kill me? ;)

  20. I would like to congratulate Mr. Stephen Rockefeller on hitting 5000 BrickPoints before any other member. He has chosen the Brickmaster Imperial Shuttle as a prize an as soon as I can get my butt to the Post Office, I will mail it to him. ;-) I also would like to mention that Jeff has added a BRICKPOINTS LOG that enables you to keep track of your Brickpoints. Don't forget, we still have 25 set review spots left for first time quality set reviews. Those first time set reviews will receive 500 Brickpoints when the contest is completed. So start reviewing and posting on the forums. You can hit 5000 points like Stephen did and get a prize. Thanks...Ed Mack

  23. Jeff and I have been getting a lot of private messages about improving the site. I would like give BrickPicker members a chance to help improve the site and give us some fresh ideas. As you know, we are always tinkering with the site and have some great stuff planned. The problem always is finding the time to implement these changes and improvements. Some things can be changed quickly and easily, others can take months or more. I don't want to give out too much information on future plans, but they will make the site much more social and interactive with other BrickPicker members and more custom and intuitive for the individual. No idea is too small...Please, this i…

CHECK IT OUT!!! Long story short...BRICKPOINTS a simple way to reward BrickPicker members for your activity on the site. By doing simple things on the site, such a posting in the forums and blogs or even for just registering for the site, you obtain BrickPicker points. The first 100 BrickPicker members to 5000 points will receive one of three LEGO STAR WARS Brickmaster sets...20016, 20018 or 20021. Your choice. Get to 5000 and you can do it again if you want, and get another set in the process. We will be adding other ways to obtain points, so keep an eye out for those additions. Also, if you have something interesting to say about LEGO investing/collecting a…
