Hi everyone, I am Bricklinking the Taj Mahal and am wondering: Do any of you know where I can get 208 of the 368001 piece? The picture is attached. On Bricklink, the largest quantity I could find was 14 and that is by far not the amount I need. I am looking to find these at less than $0.05 per if possible. Thanks.

Not sure if there are different boxes for some retail stores or something, but I saw a new Hobbit set out tonight at Target, and it appeared to be a punch tab-style box:

  3. I guess buying at the right time is a piece of cake, whenever they are close to EOL or they are way to cheap to let them pass you can't go wrong with that strategy, but WHEN to SELL is the question I have now..... I have a few sets that are probably in their prime or past their prime and I have not focused enough to make my profit on those and reinvest. So here is my question. Which of these sets that I consider Matured , would you SELL and which would you HOLD ?? By the way all new in sealed boxes..... 4842 HP The Burrows (4 Sets) 10217 HP Diagon Alley (2 Sets) and the crown jewel..... 10182 Corner Cafe What would you do???

What theme do you think had the poorest selection of new releases this year? Please vote once and based on the quality of sets released in 2017, not on investment potential or that of older sets from the theme.

  5. This isn't a thread to belittle people for shelling out SM prices for a set so don't even think about it!! I will start The only two sets in my collection that I have paid SM value for are the 7161 gungan sub and 7661 Jedi starfighter with hyper boost ring. Both have remained steady at the price I bought them for the last year.

  6. sorry if this has been answered before but how do you guys store sets you bought for investment to be sold in 3 or 5 years time ? Do you put the original lego set in another box and seal it , do you bubble wrap the original box, do you use silica gels to keep moisture out, do you cover them with blankets etc. what is the best way to insure that the original box stays in near perfect condition after many year of storage ?

This is probably a dumb question. But here it goes. I've been saving the boxes and parts bags as I build out my collection. I've mostly been keeping the parts bags thinking they might have some value. Is there any validity to this thought?

Ok, anyone have any sugestions on how to keep the wife from opeining everyting you buy? Out of the stuff I bought this week my wife wants to open a bunch of it and I keep telling her NO. She keeps saying "Wouldn't it be a shame if you came home and found the box ripped open!" How do I keep the wife from playing with my stuff!!!!!!!!

Found this at an estate sale and thought it was pretty cool. It's a limited edition catalog from 2002.

Money no object: the Rebel U-wing or Director Krennic's Imperial Shuttle? Pros and cons of each would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I am fairly new to investing and have really got the bug. So far i have resisted the temptation to build anything that i have bought for investment, however my wish to return to my childhood is overpowering. This is a bit random but I would really like to build something cool, to put on my desk at work. I work as a divorce lawyer and see clients in my office. I don't want something that is off putting or that makes me look like a lunatic, but i thought that something good would be a good conversation starter and a bit unique. I would hope that it might also be something i can pack away again in a couple of years and sell for a profit and then replac…

With all the what you bought, built or sold today threads, I thought it might be a fun idea to start a new thread about which set you prize the most in your collection? I'm not talking about the one that has the most monetary value, but the one set that you wouldn't part from even if you had to choose between it and your own arm! It can be any set of any theme, regardless of size or price. To make it a tad more difficult, try to keep it one and single only set. For me, even though I don't own that many sets, I'm very proud to currently own an unopened UCS Batmobile 7784 that I managed to get a few months back for a very decent price. Haven't gotten around to build it y…

  13. I know that at this time of year, most of us have spent all of our allocated Lego funds and then some. However, let's just say in the Bizarro world, your wife approached you and wanted you to invest $3,000 in Legos right now. What sets and how many do you buy? Give a list for both the short term investment and long term investment.

Over the past 4-5 years, the world economies have struggled. You would think that this would reduce Lego sales and prices, especially in the secondary markets like Ebay. But Lego has record profits and Lego set prices remain strong on auction sites. So my question to you is: Is Lego investing recession proof?

Hey guys/gals, Just got a Helm's Deep in. Ebay purchase for $104. Well guess who shipped me the item? That's right, TLG. Along with my free splinter keychain.... AND AN INVOICE FOR $129.99. Well I called them immediately and told them that I may have been involved in a drop ship scam. CS rep said nothing has been reported yet so don't worry about it. Which is frustrating because if this is a scam... someone is going to lose. Either TLG will have to eat the cost, or Visa/MC etx will have to eat this. But more importantly they will have to deal with another scam shipment because they're not following up. Anyway... should I just not worry about it? Or is the…

  18. With the dollar being particularly strong now vs the Euro and with VAT being removed for USA buyers from European retailers, I recently purchased a large amount of retired sets from Europe. I got my first big batch today and from what I can tell the box work is identical and the differences on the outside of the box are: a) piece count information b) UPC and serial number & c) more languages on the side of the box. Are the inner contents identical piece wise? I'm guessing the manual might have some more differences. My plan is to avoid selling on Amazon just in case a buyer gets worried and claims its a knockoff and primarily stick to ebay. Has an…

Of all the new 2013 sets (sets that have been released or are planned to be released in 2013), which set do you think will be the biggest investment winner years from now?

I am sure more than one of you will be foaming at the mouth afer watching this video. It´s a 30 minute exploration of Lego´s own archive library of most MISB sets ever produced.

I have roughly $100 equivalent in LEGO VIP points through the legostore. I sold most of my lego on the secondary market already and just trying to cash everything out. I was wondering what is the best set for more to just buy right now and resell immediately? I am fine with buying a set now and holding for 1-2 years down the road or just waiting until a really attractive set comes out to use the money. Either way, let me know the best course of action.

Hi, mods, if this is something that is addressed somewhere else, please move this. I got a 42009 MK II Crane last year, which I opened at Christmas and attempted to build. However it appears to be missing a significant number of parts, so building it was impossible. The main part missing appeared to be medium stone 13M beams. I am now in the process of separating and counting all the pieces to cross reference to the inventory on Brickset, which is tedious and time consuming and not a lot of fun. How frequently do people come across brand new unopened sets with missing parts? What sort of percentage of all sets are missing pieces? I was thinking this could be a b…

Ok, So I know we have a large post for the May 4th specials. But now, I would like some afterthoughts on some of what you guys and gals decided to do or did with your B-wings and Han Solo Hoths. For me I purchased 10 seperate orders. I am kind of surprised people priced their stuff so low. Its just so dumb to me. Anyways, Prices on both are coming down. Hoth was selling for 19.99 all day, now it seems like 14.99. Bwings are going for about 150 now. Did most of you sell? For me its just not worth it. Dont you think all the Hoths will be gone soon at the rate they are going. I feel like Christmas time you could easily get $30 apiece. For the Bwings I am thinking at least $1…
