Other LEGO Marketplaces

Overall discussion on the buying and selling of LEGO and LEGO parts on the Bricklink, Brickowl and other LEGO Marketplaces

  1. So I am Bricklinking the Marina Bay Sands with the help of a forum member who had the Name Plate element and a cheap United Nations I picked up from BN. I placed three orders from three different sellers and still need 5 elements. Forget about the box and instructions just trying to complete my Arch series for under $100. So today I get my last two brick link orders and I inventory the pieces and see that I did not get all of the 1x3 plates and none of the 4081 Rare modified 1x1 clip light. I definitely remember ordering the latter as I had to add a third seller to get this part and the olive discs. When I look at the orders on Bricklink the dollar totals match what I…

Since this is an unchartered territory for most of us, I am starting a new thread to keep everything organized and in one place. Looks like different BPers are having different issues with their orders, feel free to post your experience here. All my orders are marked as shipped at this point, but I didn't go crazy on Sunday over to you

Howdy. I've finally decided to give Bricklink a try; I've been kicking the idea around for months now. The Ebay part-out store has been operating for almost a year now and has treated me well- I'm a TRS with 1500 transactions, and I'm currently running about $3-4K in sales a month. I'm fine with selling minifigs on Ebay, but I've never been a big fan of the "sets w/o minifigs" method for sets. As the store's gotten bigger, there are always more sets sitting around for longer, and the ones that do sell will often go for less than I feel they're worth. Especially being an old-school builder, it makes me grind my teeth every time I sell the entire set portion for less…

  5. Started by naf,

I've been doing some "window shopping" around bricklink pricing out some older retired sets I might want to add to my collection. I noticed that quite a few sellers have disclaimers stating things like" -item is not my responsibility once it's dropped off at the post office -not responsible if item is damaged/lost in mail -buyer is responsible for submitting usps insurance claim if item is damaged This seem odd to me. I know bricklink is not ebay, but this stuff would never fly on ebay. I figured the general consensus is that the seller is responsible for getting the purchased item to the buyer in the condition it was described in. That's how I operate…

So today the Bricklink MOC Shop got released, appearently which also goes by the name of Bricklink 2.0? Since they refer to the Bricklink we know as Bricklink 1.0. Anyway, we are able to part in bricks and sell them as sets (designs) provided by a other users (designers). Over the past month or two this MOC Shop has been in Beta and people could request some of the designs for sale... this number is very low. I have been checking around and setting up a store myself and what i found out is that we can't exceed a profit margin of 100%. For example one of the most requested set (design) is: Container w/ sticker space (Light Bluish Gray. (http://moc.brickli…

Jeff and I want to pick the brain of all of you Bricklink store owners. What would consider the piece counts for store sizes. For example...How many pieces does a large Bricklink store carry? A medium store? A small store? An X-Large store? Thanks.

  8. Ed started a thread earlier talking about the size of shops that sell parts on Bricklink or Brick Owl. That is one question, but we will have plenty of others. We feel it would be better if we create a group that we can talk to and go to over time to help shape the future of Brick Classifieds (specifically the parts department). If you are someone that runs a serious business and would like to contribute to this as well as make good platform to sell your parts, please leave a note here (or send me a PM) with links to your store(s). We will create a forum that you can access and will be able to leave feedback to our questions. Thank you

Is there an easy way to export my bricklink want list to excel? I do not need the picture of the parts just the part name. Figured I could print it easier from excel.

  10. My cosmic cubes say shipped. But the tracking doesn't show anything yet. We will see what comes. Hopefully its breast pumps since I can't ever use a damn coupon on them at TRU.

  13. Couldn't find the answer for this. I was under the impression that the 10% member discount applies online or in store but maybe it is in-store only? I have the 20% coupon which I can use online but it isn't registering an additional 10% discount on the website. Guess you have to go in the store to stack deals?

There is a store near me that I have passed by a handful of times but never went in. I looked up their website and found out it is a franchise with 7 stores. The two near me were the first and second. Interesting story in the About Us page on how it all started. Since they are scattered around the US, has anyone been to a store? I'm curious what they offer on bulk. http://bricksandminifigs.com/

  15. Ryan from The Plastic Brick contacted me to offer 15% their carts for this week (July 7th through July 13th). There are some nice classic sets available in case you are looking for something new and different to build and may have missed out on them from years past. At checkout, enter the following code: BP15OFF

Hi everyone, Whenever I try to attach a bonus coupon (for instance, 3,000 points when you spend $10) I can apply the coupon, but the points don't show up in my account. Has anyone encountered this and fixed it? Thanks! D

Sad news from ERIC Admin Leaving BrickLink.com In case you don't know me, my name is Eric Smith. I was originally involved with BrickLink as the web host, starting back in 2001. I assisted Dan with 3 or 4 server upgrades as the site traffic grew and helped out occasionally with technical questions he had. It was exciting to see this site grow over those years, watching the number of users and parts climb each month. I continued hosting the site for Dan Jezek until he passed away in September 2010. I was asked to serve as BrickLink Administrator by Dan's family, in addition to hosting the site. The site saw an explosion of growth between 2010 and 2013, …

Was wondering if everyone has all payments from both ebay and bricklink go to same paypal account? I know you can have 1 personal and 1 business account via paypal but just seems like overkill.

With more orders picking up, I was wondering how to import orders from bricklink to paypal. I know I've been doing it the hard way, sending an invoice via paypal, then once paid, having to go through multi-shipping tool and creating a label for each order. Takes way too much time. What am I missing, please help?

As it seems like there are some members new to the part buying aspect of Bricklink, I thought I'd share some information on programs that can make it easier. Bricklink is a great thing to have, but using it at first feels like a time machine to 15 years ago and shows you just how bad online shopping can be on an outdated website design. That said, two programs that can relieve some of the pain are Brickstore and Brickficiency. Brickstore essentially lets you manage the Bricklink database in a more powerful and easier to use way. Imagine the Bricklink parts/sets catalog combined with Excel. I primarily use it to check prices and inventory levels of parts and sets, to…

I used Brinklink for the 1st time. I was hoping for some advise or confirm that's the way it is. I would search a part, the stores with the part appear. I would go to that store, add it to the bag. When I searched a second part needed, not available at this store. It seems that I have to get multiple parts from multiple stores. Driving up the price for all the shipping.

Everybody's been talkin about K-Mart lately and the deals they've been getting there. (Including Myself) This is where you can post the deals you've found at K-Mart.... only K-Mart though, please. For the fun of it, I put a poll to vote for either K-Mart, Walmart, or Target. Which one's your favorite?

Save 15% when you buy 2+ LEGO City and LEGO Creator products at Yoyo.com! They also offer a 30% off ONE TOY (FIRST ORDER ONLY), type in code YOYO30!! A possible suggestion is that they have the Super Heroes Batcave for $62.00, you can add the 30% off and get it for $47.. Not too shabby

  25. Started by stackables,

Yoyo.com currently has 40% off of 1 toy just for today. toy40 (I think) was the code. Just picked up the Sith Fury-class Interceptor for $50.
