I just wanted to see if any members on here buy Brickmania.com kits. They have great customer service and I have bought a couple of their kits. Here's a chunk from their "about us" page. "Founded by independent designer Daniel Siskind in 1999, Brickmania has become known for offering high quality building kits made from genuine LEGO brand parts, but in subjects falling outside the company's official product line at the time of their release. These include medieval and renaissance castles, age of pirates and colonization, and military models from World War I, World War II, and modern warfare." Their kits are more pricey but they are truly worth it. Let me know below if …

Just read this article on Bricket. Basically, the team behind Brickipedia have moved the project to a new platform using this new URL. http://en.brickimedia.org/ It is still very much under construction so expect long load times for a while until things get sorted. I can say the new look is appealing, simpler, and less cluttered than the original which will still be available for use since they can't delete the old website out right. If anything the new Brickimedia works & looks much like Wikipedia only more colorful and less monotone. Oh and no more ads.

So i was printing out labels for a bunch of small sets that i sold when i noticed a "18% holiday discount" tag on my shipping total. however the price was the same 1.67 that i always pay for my first class packages. basically the base price for first class packages went up 18% to 2.07, but in order to ease customers into rate rate hike, the usps has started us off with a scam discount. luckily as the weight of the package goes up, the price increase decreases, with 13oz packages only going up 10%. this is especially bad news for people how sell a lot of polybags, as well as for people that part out a lot of sets, since this is the preferred method of shipment for th…

So I just saw this blog article: Link And I took offense in her saying "**** you lego" as I personally do love LEGO. Another thing is I am strongly against feminism. To me this is no longer a female enpowering movement that is needed but rather a terrosist group. It's true that there are more male minifigures but to be fair right from the start LEGO actually did have female minifigures as well. Keeping in mind that the main target group have been boys (I would say). And yeah like one of the comments said: There actually is a lack of strong male characters in BARBY as well but nobody gives a damn about it. I feel that LEGO gives their customers a high flexibili…

So I preface this story with – part of me hopes it really was a scam, and all that happened was I was saved a massive headache. However, most of me believes this is true, which then becomes one of the biggest “one that got away” stories in a long time. So, I see a Craigslist post this weekend – two big LEGO sets - $800. I check it out and BAM! 10179 and 10030 being sold as together for $800. Immediately I think this must be a scam. NIB together for $800? No way. How about $4000+. So, not one to miss out on a chance at greatness in a box or some good detective work I send a reply that I’m interested, pay cash, etc… to the Craigslist email account. I get …

For all you Game of Thrones fans, citizen brick has just released a new set of custom minifigs based on the series. Check them out here: http://citizenbrick.com/collections/minifigs/products/dragon-sword-fighter-force-complete-series-plus-bonus-minifig Pretty awesomely detailed (as usual from these guys). My favs would be the White Walker, Tyrion, and Khal Drogo. I'm very tempted to get them, but $220 is a bit much for me to outlay at present on personal purchases. Sweet GRRM bonus fig as well.

So has anyone heard of the Rainbow Loom, or better yet, tried it? I've seen it in my local supermarket as well as at Hallmark, and advertised elsewhere. Seems to be catching on like wildfire. Not sure yet if it's actually "selling out" at places like Michaels. I decided against getting one for my daughter because it looked a little too complicated for her age. I suspect someone gathered all the (now worthless) leftover Silly Bands, added a crochet hook, and is now laughing all the way to the bank.

I invest a lot in sealed sets but also have a used collection that I build for display. But I noticed before I got into Lego I was thinner, exercising more at the gym, etc. Now after several months of building Lego I've spent less time hitting the gym and more time building Lego and have gained some weight. Lego is so fun to build and addictive that I find myself a few hours each day/night building sets instead of exercising. In fact the only time it seems I'm getting any exercise now is walking down the Lego toy aisles. :-) Has this happened to anyone else or just me?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/2016/05/03/ben-fogle-modern-lego-is-harming-childrens-development/ Isn't the Daily Telegraph one of those less than quality newspapers? Either way, this tool, err.. TV Presenter and Adventurer.. says that modern day LEGO kits are hurting child development because they don't offer the same creative outlet LEGO once did! Someone needs to direct this man to Bricklink and have him order some bulk bricks so his kid can "be creative."

While cooking breakfast this morning, I remembered mine from last night. I'd been going through the Lego in Wal-Mart for abough a half hour, (it was obviously nothing like real Lego ) I went over to the CM bin, and it was accurately empty. As I was walking away, an employee came up and dumped a bunch of CM's in the bin, so I naturally went over to smoosh. I found a Sea Captain, but I don't remember anything else. Then in my dream, I remembered that the employee had dumped the figs from a plastic bag, and that therefore, I realized, there would be no Mr. ***. because of employee smooshing. Has anyone else had this level of LEGO realism in a dream? We need therepy... ;)

So, I just finished building the Town Hall modular. While I love the overall buildings in this theme, I'm especially a fan of the micro-builds that go along with them. When I got to building the globe that appears on the third floor of the TH, I was amazed by the piece's fantastic printing. The globe printing is amazingly accurate and I was just in awe of how cool the micro-build turned out. However I was stuck by one little detail more than anything: Do you guys see it? California is clearly separated from the rest of the United States. Now, this cannot be an accident as it would be harder for lego to design and print the little extra piece of the state rate…

Which one of you is this? http://www.ladbible.com/news/weird-man-arrested-after-50000-of-stolen-lego-found-at-his-house-20180502 A man was arrested in Portland, Oregon last Thursday after having been found to have $50,000 (£37,000) worth of stolen Lego in his house. 40-year-old Raji Afife Azar stands accused of stealing huge amounts of Lego and then selling them on at a huge mark-up online. He was finally arrested after he allegedly bought about $13,000 (£9,600) worth of stolen toys from undercover investigators, according to a report on local TV station KGW8. I can remember my dad showing me how to interlock bricks so my walls wouldn't fall down when building houses and garages. But I was a huge fan of Thunderbirds in the 1960's and can remember making a reasonable Zero-X from the Thunderbirds Are Go film. The small shuttle part and the lifting wings were detachable from the main body - and it used to creash spectacularly just like in the film.

My wife and I were having a discussion about the new Wolverine movie and how it seemed as though he wanted to die but didn't know how. I said that Wolverine could jump into the ocean and that should effectively kill him because of the pressure under water should cause him to not only drown but explode. She disagrees. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone, I am writing some top secret material for BrickPicker, and need to know a little information. What Lego Star Wars sets have been remade? Since this is a fairly serious thread, I would appreciate it if this one stayed on topic, since its not like we ever get off topic. :-) Thanks everyone! Here is the list so far: Sith Infiltrator Luke's Landspeeder Gungan Sub Clone Turbo Tank UCS X-Wing X Wing Fighter (non-UCS) Millennium Falcon Desert Skiff AAT A-Wing Droid Escape Imperial Shuttle (both UCS and non-UCS) Naboo Starfighter Republic Gunship Geonosian Starfighter AT-AT (both UCS and non-UCS) Jabba

I made a trade with a trader from another board. I sent my part of the trade on the 18th. It has been more than 10 days since the individual has contacted me via pm and I still haven't received the figures promised to me. So when should I start plastering his name all over the trade sites?

Here's a fun little game. How many retail locations are located in your immediate area? You define it however you want to, but my thinking is, where do you go to buy Lego on a regular basis? Not a road trip, but, if you're heading out from work, or heading home, what stores can you easily get to? For example, I live about 40 minutes north of the nearest Lego store, so I don't consider it in my immediate area. I wouldn't throw Walgreens or any other place that you hit once in a blue moon. But, Target, TRU, B&N, Fry's, Meijer or any other retail location you can think of. Here's my breakdown: B&N: 3 Walmart: 8 TRU: 3 Target: 8 Fry's: 1 Legoland: 1 (LL Californ…
