At the local mall with wife/mom shopping for clothes today...decided to take my almost 4yr old son to TRU just to look around. Give mommy free space and looking at toys is way better than carrying bags/tagging along Thought might as well ask a cashier if they still have those Robin red cycle polybags. They lady checked and said yes we do have one left Perfect...I told her to save that for me and I will be right back with a Super Heroes purchase. She said any single purchase will do (before there was a min $30 purchase) and also handed a free Elrond polybag to my son! Cap America Cycle cost me a whopping $20.33 including taxes but got Robin Red Cycle and Elron…

If any theme makes them, I reckon it will be Lego Friends. The idea came to me when thinking if they would ever break the mould (literally) and do a fat Lego Friend. I thought it would be unlikely. Well, what about a pregnant lady? And then a baby? I can't see it happening in other themes, unless it has and I've missed it. Incidentally, the little microfigs from the games make good sized Lego babies. The mummies look like baby in swaddling clothes. It's in Odds and Ends because I'm pretty much rambling and just wanted to hear what others think on this. Thanks

Hello, Looking for some info on lego key chains. Why are grey tag versions rarer than others. Also some have the lego logo printed on the back of the minifigure does this mean anything? Thanks

While cooking breakfast this morning, I remembered mine from last night. I'd been going through the Lego in Wal-Mart for abough a half hour, (it was obviously nothing like real Lego ) I went over to the CM bin, and it was accurately empty. As I was walking away, an employee came up and dumped a bunch of CM's in the bin, so I naturally went over to smoosh. I found a Sea Captain, but I don't remember anything else. Then in my dream, I remembered that the employee had dumped the figs from a plastic bag, and that therefore, I realized, there would be no Mr. ***. because of employee smooshing. Has anyone else had this level of LEGO realism in a dream? We need therepy... ;)

Think I didn't see any similar topic, just posts here and there. Seems like many people came back to LEGO when they became parents. I understand many teens are interested in LEGO as an investment, so it's not about that I'm curious what do your kids (friends, relatives) PLAY with or assemble and proudly display mostly? How early they started showing interest in LEGO, what is their favorite theme and how it became favorite among all of themes? Let me put it down as a little questionnaire: 1. male or female; 2. age; 3. theme or themes (or a set); 4. why? 5. you feel it's gonna be a long-lasting-love or just a short term interest in LEGO?

From darkhorizons.com Just moments ago, filmmaker Zack Snyder and veteran actor Harry Lennox took to the stage at Warners' Saturday Comic Con presentation to confirm the news from a few hours ago that the "Man of Steel" sequel will feature Batman. Lennox read out the quote: "I want you to remember Clark, in all the years to come. In all your private moments. In all the years to come, my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you" Immediately after, up came a silver "Man of Steel" logo with a Batman logo behind it. NO mention was made at the panel regarding the OTHER rumor that emerged this morning - that we'd get a "The Flash" film i…

Hi all, We're about to start collecting for our own enjoyment all the Lego buildings in the modular/expert creator line. I know which one's are currently available on Lego's site, and I know that Green Grocer and Corner Cafe are now available only on the secondary market. Am I missing any others that were retired in this series besides the two? Thanks!

I was thinking of this earlier today - I was trying to decide what the best Star Wars Video game of all time is. I am having trouble choosing between SW: Shadows of the Empire and Battlefront 2. I think I have to go with Shadows of the empire because i must've played through it 100 times. What do you all think?

The reason I ask this question is because I'm wondering if its too late to jump on the Lego investing bandwagon??? It is so tempting to do so with the popularity of Legos right now, and seeing some of the great returns on some sets after EOL. However, when will the investor supply out number the consumer demand? Its seems to me that a great number of the posts on Brickpicker are members talking about how they have 40 of this set, and 60 of that set and so on, and how cheap they got each set. With only a limited number of places to unload all these sets, coupled with the increasing number of investors buying and stock piling huge quantities. Not to mention Lego is m…

Aside from an investing perspective/CAGR...is there a set you want for your personal collection/interest that you just missed out on? At the moment mine would be the Medieval Market Village, I could always buy it on the secondary market but just wished I started this Lego hobby sooner! Anybody wished they had a retired Modular set? P.S. any local Canadians within the GTA that has the MMV set...PM me with your best price or possible trades. Thanks.

I am guessing a few people on here are big fans of the Harry Potter books, so in case anyone hasn't heard it, JK Rowling published a book under a pseudo name, Robert Galbraith. http://www.amazon.com/The-Cuckoos-Calling-Robert-Galbraith/dp/0316206849/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373980865&sr=8-1&keywords=the+cuckoo%27s+calling In other news, I'm thinking of writing a book, and having my fake name be John Killian Rowling (JK Rowling)

We have a new baby. I'm holding her, rocking her, watching TV that I'm not super interested in, but what else can you do? Well, I have an ironing board in front of me and random Lego parts that I'm sorting. The ironing board is a good height for sorting generally, in front of the TV, whether you have a baby or not.

Does anyone else find the designers in the videos a bit odd? Most of them seem super soft spoken, shy and seem like they don't get out all that much. They should get actors to talk about their sets. Some videos are a little uncomfortable to watch for me.

Im a long time fan of Godzilla, Ultraman, giant monsters and giant robots ... if anyone is a fan of these genre, I recommend seeing it. Its a movie full of kick ass action and awesome kaiju. Just curious, what my fellow Lego fans do when they're not building or scouring the internet for deals. I'm a Heavy Equipment Mechanic which sadly cuts too much into my investing time.

This is for people who also think the LEGO company should release Military. That would be cool, because we could get official AH-64s and M1A1s and stuff. Who agrees?

There is a Lego event coming to Minnesota and I wanted to share some information about it. It is called World War Brick.
