  3. I commented on this in a thread regarding R5 from TRU.ca, but figured it deserves it's own thread as this is pretty major imo... it looks like many exclusives no longer apply for free shipping over $25, or even $10 off shipping. For example Palace Cinema: http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?prodFindSrc=cart&productId=19102406 "Free shipping on anything over $25" is not listed. This can be said about most of the "Hard to Finds". I also thought it could just be a bug and will apply at checkout, but nope, $9.83 shipping cost. If you add 4 PC's in cart the cost is $37 in shipping, gross. So i figured OK, maybe they have a new weight cap for free shipping. …

  4. My local LEGO store STILL had the MM give away avialable last I checked. No decent sale items there so I'm wondering what set or combo of sets should I target for $75 without going too much over? Otherwise I'm grabbing one of the big exclusives for well over $100...

  5. LEGO Ideas The Research Institute available at Mastermind toys again. Grab it now before they are all gone.

Hi, I can't understand how most of us here in Canada are almost jumping and give big thumbs up to special deal like 20% off on lego. FOR SURE I'M not... -Here in Quebec we pay 15% tx .. so to me a 20% off .. mean only 5% off at the end .. I don't see anything to celebrate ... may I know if i'm the only one who think this way and that we deserve better than that ? When you buy at 20% there's no way you do money on these sets right away.. need to be stashed away for 1 to 3 years right ? Or you simply do 10 - 20$ quick flip .. or I'm missing something here... (I've been selling on Ebay since the last 7 years, wasn't lego at first, and now with all the fees I don't…

  7. ToysRus.ca (canada) Fire Transporter Cool little set - 50% off at $34.95 Free shipping on orders over $25 too. Thank a random Reddit post for this info (yes... Reddit)

Hey Canucks, just went to TRU to cash in my $15 off promo card...obviously bought some Lego on sale...they have another promo on right now as 'early bird' (before 10am) for today and tomorrow. When you spend $80, you get a $30 off card for min $60 purchase in Jan 10-30th. Not bad.

  9. I just assume everyone is doing it 'part-time' , but if anyone is doing it out of their house on a full time basis it would interesting to hear from those individuals. I'm at the point where many months I gross more reselling only on eBay than I gross working my day job!

  15. Wouldn't necessarily call this a deal, but Mastermind Toys is currently selling this set a few days before the official release date. Apparently they can be found in stores too. Will check my local store later today. http://www.mastermindtoys.com/LEGO-Back-to-the-Future-DeLorean.aspx?refid=2000

  17. Started by ChristopherJB,

Just arrived in Richmond BC and found a stash come in. $34.95 each. They had a box of ten. Went there with my friend to grab 4 each. They gave us a $15 gift card for spending $100. I left two on the shelf. Should still be there as I finished dinner and saw them collecting dust. Sold a few of these at $80 shipped. You canadians have it good. Everything is dirt cheap.

  19. As the title says - the small mom&pop LEGO store Lasting Toys in Mississauga appears to be closing it's doors and is having a sale to sell through their stock. They sell a wide range of LEGO, including the current stuff at retail prices, and retired sets at a markup. I'm local to their store, so i'll be checking it occasionally, but their large exclusives (even the ones currently available) usually have a markup already applied, so even at %10 off there isn't much of a deal there. Either way i figure i'd post this for anyone local to the store looking for something, i'm sure there will be good deals to find at some point. The sales are as follows (currently)…

Loaded with a lot of GOOD sets. had this on my radar for a week or so but then checked the prices last night to prep and see which sets i wanted to bid on and how much but was shocked to see the eaqrly online bidding had already taken most of the sets close to if not same as ebay prices.. UGGH. did any one do this auction and get anything good for a decent price? http://bid.ableauctions.ca/INDUSTRIAL-EQUIPMENT-VEHICLES-POLICE-RECOVERY-LEGO-AUCTION-LANGLEY-BC_as44683_p18

  21. Just got my weekly PC Plus (ie Loblaws) email with special offers and for every $40 you spend on toys, you get 16,000 points, which is equal to $16. That's 40% off. The last time they did this deal it was only 8,000 points and I happened to get 7 Wolverine Choppers on discount for $7 total.

Perhaps amazon.ca is finally getting ready to start rolling out better deals! Quite a few nice deals at 35% off - I'm tempted to actually get an amazon.ca credit card with the hopes that future deals will be forthcoming. I can't see how they wouldn't want to expand their toy section in Canada.... My picks out of the deals: Ariel's Magic Kiss, Cargo Truck and the two small Castle sets (for my nephews & a couple for me to build)

Ok, not the deal of the year but if you're Canadian and prefer not to buy internationally for various/whatever reason...this is cheapest so far especially since it's an Target exclusive. Always wanted one for personal collection and glad I waited for a discount. I just bought 4. Retails $49.99 and now $39 plus taxes and minus 5% red card. Cool looking set any LOTR fan would love.

  24. Started by Vodium,

Was just wondering if anybody here ships their oversized letter mail orders in boxes that meet the 2 cm rule. I only use bubble mailers at the moment, but my friend works at a company that makes custom boxes. So I'm getting him to look into pricing for me. Or does Canada post not really like boxes for letter mail? I couldn't find anything saying that it couldn't be. If I could simple fit an order into a box instead of having to nicely package everything (which I find is my biggest time consumer) so that it perfectly fits in the bubble mailer and won't shift and change the thickness, it would be so much easier and faster to package letter mail orders.

Sale this week at TRU. Nothing amazing, but thought some of you might want to know.
