Star Wars Sets

The other day when I entered into my Brickfolio my two 2013 STAR WARS battlepacks, out of curiosity, I clicked on the price guide for them. H-o-l-y crap.... What I saw surprised the heck out of me. People are paying around $25 for the "Clone Troopers vs Droidekas" battle pack, and an average of $19 for the "Republic Troopers vs Sith Troopers" one. ......HUH?! These are brand new sets! They could not get any newer than this! How the heck can anyone justify paying more than twice the original retail for these?! Even if their store is sold out, they can't just wait another week or so for them to come in?! Really?! Sometimes I just really do not get people....

We have two UCS X-wings, a Y-wing, a B-wing, and the Exectutor. Shouldn't the next set be a UCS A-wing for about $100?

I was thinking that TLG may be releasing all of these Attack of the Clones sets in correlation to the release of the Attack of the Clones in 3-D, assuming they release it as a follow-up to The Phantom Menace in 3-D. I like the new Attack of the Clones sets, even though they are remakes, and hope for more next year. It would be nice if Lego made Kamino sets like a cloning room and Jango Fett's Slave 1, and a remake of Zam Wessel's speeder or Padme's senatorial starship. A new Zam Wessel would be awesome, even though it wouldbe impossible to improve upon her. This may all be a conspiricy theory, but we can still dream. :)

I saw this blaster and I think it looks awesome! The high level of detail is amazing IMO and I can only dream that Lego will ever make this into a set. Link.

Recently I've thought about trying to build my own UCS MF, and pieces can be found pretty cheap on bricklink, but some colors are harder to find and more expensive than others. Being cheap, I had an idea to buy the cheapest colors of the pieces needed. I've never ordered off bricklink and don't know if shipping is expensive, but the pieces are super cheap. I don't know if this has been done before, but how much do you think a rainbow 10179 would go for and do you think it would look stupid or cool? I've always wanted to build a 10179 and this seems like a fun and cheap way (also I feel like it could go for some profits on ebay)

I just got back into Lego since I was a kid, I'm in college now. My collection is purely lego Star Wars but I guess my question is which of the 2012/2013 sets should I buy and keep sealed for future sale before they are retired. I have most clone 2012 and 2013 sets but the thing is I opened them and I'd have a hard time selling some of them because I want them for my collection. Before they are retired what should I buy duplicates of to keep sealed? I'm thinking the mandalorian speeder because of darth maul, I obviously want to keep mine. What else? Suggestions anyone? Probably another desert skiff but I'm inexperienced on the investment side of things so I could use some…

I've been picking up a lot of battle packs at MSRP recently as I've been getting free Stormtrooper Sergeants with each purchase. Selling the Stormtrooper Sergeants has meant that I'm in profit and still have the battle packs, but I was wondering had anyone any ideas on how to maximise the return on the battle packs. Should I just sell them off individually, probably being lucky to get MSRP without holding onto them for ages, or would I be better breaking out the packs and selling batch loads of troopers.

Taking everything into account (possible new Falcon models in the future, controversy surrounding Jabba's Palace, previous version of Sail Barge).

Aside from the ucs series what do you think is the best performing set within the last 3 years... I don't know what collectors are looking for (never watched starwars )

Sadly the new star wars cantina will not have a barkeep behind the bar. The competition which is just for fun with no prizes or winner is to MOC a barkeep figure or suggest a figure that has already been produced, or in the instance of my entry that will be produced, assuming that he is, Moe Syzlack from the Simpsons.

Not too long ago in a galaxy pretty close by... I got Bored! Ok so I did the microfighter AT-AT as requested by brickcrazyhouse and boy was that tough but I like the outcome this one can seat two so lemme know what you think and I'm done for the night but thanks for keeping me occupied haha

Got bored again today and made I guess a somewhat to scale Tie Bomber. LDD didn't have the star wars window cockpit thing so I got lazy and didn't really make so someone could sit in it tightly 541 pieces. Lemme know what you think and if I should modify somethings or not.

Hey guys! I don't know if y'all remember but a year ago I did a series of MOCs for Star Wars when I was bored without school for like 2 weeks due to snow. You guys gave great feedback, and I really appreciated. So now it's back! Except for only one installment. The new AAT came out and it kinda stinks. It's really bulky and has no detail. This isn't a investment question but similar in nature. I've been looking at getting these sets just for myself, not for investment purposes.: Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 $88.41 Jek-14's Stealth Starfighter 75018 $59.44 AT-TE 75019 $66.31 Do you think now is a good time to get them, or will there be chances to get these cheaper still? I've collected for a while, but never really paid attention to any sale cycles until more recently. I noticed the JB Sail Barge and AT-TE have been on sale for a while. Jek-14s Fighter seems to be getting a bit cheaper more recently. Like I said, I just want them for my collection, and still NIB, but as cheap as possible.

Anyone else remember this quirky movie related breakfast oddity? Introduced in 1984 only to be discontinued shortly afterwards was a cereal composed of "twin rings phased together for two crunches in every double-O". I never had a chance to taste it myself considering I was just born at the time but way I heard it was basically two Cheerios stuck together I think. Anyway, I recall hearing about this cereal before years ago growing up to then forget about it as time went by until I stumbled across this amusing commercial. I've always thought that the C3P0 minifigs have been awful and below the normal Lego standard. But the one that comes with the Sandcrawler set is awesome. Has anyone heard whether or not that new C3P0 model will be issued in future sets? I really want it but can't afford the Sandcrawler set right now. And I don't want to pay $60 for one mini fig.

Trying to sell this but dont know the model, would be great if someone could tell me which one this is. Thanks a lot.
