I came across this 4-part web-series where numerous Adult Fans of LEGO were interviewed on many aspects of LEGO in their life. Check it out, fellow brickers. Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JWqkErZsqo Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FRMDxmL3BQ Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IoxSvJuBOU Part 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn9MbHVyItg Each clip averages to about 6-7 minutes, so you might want some popcorn or something to snack on in the meantime.

Ok, so I got my Jedi Defender-class Cruiser two months ago, and while building it was impressed with the number of lughtsabers included. The amazing part though, was that out of the thirteen lightsabers in the set, only ONE had air bubbles in it. Could this be coincidence or has Lego finally solved the problem of air bubbles? Has anyone else seen less air bubbles in their lightsabers recently?

Flick Fire missiles are probably the greatest feature of any set. My only disappointment is that LEGO does not include more of them in each theme! The realism of these projectiles astounds me. Just take a look at Attack on Weathertop! Those missiles are classic LOTR. Remember when they used those missiles in the movie? No set is complete without several of these accurate and easy to shoot weapons. Can you imagine if they had included this kind of advanced technology with Cafe Corner? Its value on the secondary market would probably "skyrocket." Flick Fire Missiles- How did we ever live without them?

  5. If the title isn't clear here it is; basically I hope to pull an all-nighter (or as long as is necessary) to be one of the first to place an order to take advantage of the Martian Manhunter Minifigure promotion. For those of you who need the details, here they are; LEGO - March 2014 Calendar. I will try and be active on my laptop in the hours leading up to it on multiple places. 1. Here. If you just want to hit me up here and talk here on Brickpicker, or PM me here then that's cool. But I will more likely be checking out my social networks, and not Brickpicker. 2. Austrailia's own Lego Certified Professional, Ryan McNaught, builder of the incredible helicopter MOC utilizing 10,000 parts and cost roughly $25,000 simply named "Elvis", was the subject of apparent vandalism as a group of juveniles had pushed the piece over as it was on display in Cairns Central. > >Elvis by TheBrickMan, on Flickr

On the lighter side of things in the world, an amputee built herself a leg out of Lego. It's nice to see people enjoying life like this, taking a light-hearted approach to a devastating thing that happened to them (I believe she was in some sort of accident). "She is now the first person in history to be happy to step on a Lego" Read the article here: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/good-news/amputee-builds-her-own-prosthetic-leg-lego-155447445.html

I stumbled upon this article today while surfing the Internet. It wasn't reported about on any LEGO fan sites, I kinda just chanced upon it. Any way you can read it here: bit.ly/AFOLsNightmare. You older BP members can add this to your list of "Actually Good Reasons To Have Kids".

So, I just finished building the Town Hall modular. While I love the overall buildings in this theme, I'm especially a fan of the micro-builds that go along with them. When I got to building the globe that appears on the third floor of the TH, I was amazed by the piece's fantastic printing. The globe printing is amazingly accurate and I was just in awe of how cool the micro-build turned out. However I was stuck by one little detail more than anything: Do you guys see it? California is clearly separated from the rest of the United States. Now, this cannot be an accident as it would be harder for lego to design and print the little extra piece of the state rate…

Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Anderson went to a LEGO "Brick Wall" themed LEGO for this season, I didn't notice it until just now watching the ANA/CHI game. http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/5/21/8641703/anaheim-ducks-goalie-lego-helmet-frederik-andersen There's a closer look. Pretty sweet!

Just a cool update on who is going to play batman in the upcoming moving Superman and Batman. Ben affleck is going to take the role as batman! This is according to yahoo and other sources. So what's your opinion on him playing batman?

"One way out." Each time I think "This episode is the best Star Wars I've seen," it always keeps escalating somehow. This show is a GOOD show without magic space wizards or laser swords! I am very much surprised and on the edge of my seat often with the acting, the set pieces, and the storytelling. The writing is so much more in depth and complex for something I would've never expected from Disney Star Wars. Also casting Stellan Skarsgård is PHENOMENAL! Chef's kiss!

  15. Here is the list of all the toy awards from this past weekend. This was the Oscars, The Grammys the Espy's of the toy world. The big award.. "Toy of the year" goes to LEGO Friends!!!! http://www.toyassociation.org/PressRoom2/News/2013_News/The_Year_s_Finest_Toys_and_Games_Unveiled_at__OSCARS__of_the_Toy_Industry.aspx#.URdCLIZMhXA I would like to give a shout out to the TMNT on their nice showing and the Big Wheel for making a comeback. I thought today's kids were too fat to move and their parents too scared to let them go outside?!?! My mistake....

Right now we're a 2 person team (with only iOS experience), and it took us a while to get this out. I hope to get an Android version (or someon…

  18. Can anyone recommend decent Lego podcasts? I'm aware of the video reviews available on YouTube but looking for something to listen to in the car. I listened to the one show Ed and Jeff were on once but it seems more geared toward MOCs (plus, I can't find it anymore using the iPhone Podcast app). Additioanlly, many existing podcasts seemed to have stopped.

I have been teaching English for 15+ years, and have found a few way to use Lego bricks in lessons, but it was not until I stumbled upon this site that I started really collected them. I am teaching a financial literacy class this fall, and I plan on using the ideas on this site as a basis for buying and trading stocks. I also buy Lego for my kids, but now I am buying much much more. I also sell lesson plan on Teacherspayteachers.com , and I cannot recommend the site enough for teachers looking to both buy and sell lesson ideas and manipulatives. Of course my own site www.anderchunking.com shows how I use that site and Minecraft to teach English. I hope to d…

  23. I am planning on a reorganization of my storage room. I was wondering if anyone is aware of the storage rack that will hold exclusives on all of the racks, say 3 or 4 levels high? The plastic racks I have are good, but they are more suited for non exclusives. I am also noticing that these plastic racks are bowing under the weight and I do not want 4 years from now to have misshaped sets. I have the plastic racks from Home depot, forgot the name, I think is starts with an X.

  24. I think I might venture to Seattle this October for Brickcon. The only thing that is holding me back is the LEGO blocumentary on you tube that profiles the founders of brickcon, not to be rude but the type of people I saw there in the documentary seemed well kinda weird. I consider myself a pretty normal guy so I don't want to go all the way up there and feel out of place. I know I am stereotyping but it is what it is. Anyone else been to something like this. Will they burn me at the stake if in show up and mention investing?
