Fellow BP, I would like to hear some thoughts and perhaps pointing out my oversights. My gut feel it is a scam. I negotiated a deal on two retired sets for about €600 on the local Dutch eBay site. Originally I meant to go and pick up but due to unforeseen circumstances I could not make it. The drive is about 3 hrs each way as items are in North of the country - I do think it is worth it as it involves large sum. Seller only been on site for 1 week. I have the opportunity to purchase set 852293 (Fantasy Era Chess), but it does not have the box (the one that looks like a book). It does have the manual. If the set is complete but has no box, what do you think the resell value would be? I'm seeing prices all over the map on this item. Used complete with box seem to average around $850-$900. I have found a UCS SD 10030. It has a beat up box and instructions but only 16lbs of bricks. I'm interested in it mainly for building but wanted to know what would be a good price.

Hi, got a change to deal with a person with a lot of 70lbs of Lego. He sent me some pictures but I can't really tell what sets are in there and then determine the value. So posting here to see if anyone here can give me some ideas. I am just came back from dark age last winter so I has nearly none knowledge of the old sets. From the minifigures it seems like nothing really special and mostly from city theme sets? so I guess about $300 for 70 lbs? I am trying to sort, build and resell most of them unless find something my family wanna keep Thanks

person advertised lego's and this time they actually have them they are asking 15.00 for set 70808 super cycle set box looks a little rough, and the have three ziplock sandwich bags they are asking 2.00 a piece for pic below, does this sound like its worth it? thanks for any help

Ive been looking for this creator Town House set for some time and have recently come across two very different sets. One is a MISB that has a flawless box for $375 all in for $400 with shipping OR an open set with a beat box but the poly bags are still sealed for $220 and I can pick it up locally. Typically I look for MISB but as far as an investment goes which do you think would in the future be the better choice? Thanx guys Longshot

There's a lonely LOTR Pirate Ship in an abused, but still sealed, box at a local Walmart. It's tagged at $74, but it doesn't look like it's value is much higher than that. Is this something worth getting and sitting on, or pass?

Hello to all I have a brand new Horizon Express set. I have received to proposals of trade, one is to trade to a old Batcave set (used but complete) the other a viking boat (7018) new but with box in bad shape. What are your though about this. My main intent was to sell, but if the other sets are more searched then the trade is a good deal. BTW - If anyone wants the Horizon, just let me know.

Hi, I came to a guy that has about 30 lbs of Lego that wants to sell, but they are very dirty and condition is quiet bad. He said they were in the back yard and under the sun for quiet some times. Just spot a Lot on my local Kijiji, an guy claims himself as adult collector and have following sets in this lot: 9492 9493 9496 75003 75002 7962 9499 7965 He wants 250 CAD but after negotiation agrees to let it go for 200 CAD. The problem is, although the seller claims all sets are complete but adds that minifigures are not complete. From photos he provides seems all sets are missing figures: 9492 --- only pilot is seen 9493 --- only Luke and R2-D2 are seen 9496 -- no Boba Fett and Luke 75003 -- only A-wing pilot is seen 75002 -- no Yoda 7962 -- seems only Anakin himself? 9499 -- seems no Queen Amidala 7965 -- don't know Also not sure if there are other missing pieces. …
