Any Canadians out there interested in buy a large bulk lot of 115 sets? I would like to sell it in Canada because I think the cost of shipping to the US tracked etc is going to be insane. It is currently taking up two 100+L Rubbermaid containers. I bought a large amount from a local person that kids had grown up and they were moving and needed to get rid of all their toys and lego. It was a lot more work than I expected and after almost 3 months and hundreds of hours, myself and my kids have it all sorted out and want to sell it (which was our end goal when buying). Our 2 week estimate was way off so getting a little pressure to get this sold. All sets around fr…

Got an email this morning, 20% off all month long on select Lego in store and online: Movie, SuperHeroes, Chima, City, SW, Duplo and minifigs. Not HOT but worth it if you want to use up any Plum Pts, have a gift card or stack a 10%-15% off promo code with this promo. I'll be keeping a look out for a couple sets in mind...use up my $200 gift card. Seems like March-May are busy 'buying' months with promo's...got the minifig promo with Lego.ca in March...than 2x vip in April...May 4th promo Hope to see some decent TRU and Amazon.ca deals scattered next few months too. Happy shopping.

Nothing special but just thought I'll post this for those who only shop within CAN and want/need an Army set. 25% discount is better than 20% we see normally at retail. Instead of $39.99 we're paying US price of $30. Did not see any other LOTR/Hobbit deals. Along with other investors I hope this set with Helms Deep retires before December this year.

Hey guys, just a heads up. Toysnbricks is reporting that Series 11 is now Available up here. Take a look at the comments; one member reports finding them in Calgary indicating that Westerners may be able to pick them up early as well. Obviously this doesn`t necessarily constitute a "deal" but figured this is the best place to share.I`ll be checking my stores this afternoon in hopes of finding them. Will report back this evening. Happy Hunting!

With the flyer out and nothing really on sale (unless I totally missed it) it looks like bonus Airmiles and promo sets will pair best with MSRP sets. Is anyone else considering (like me) grabbing a couple of Frankenstein MF sets? I know TRU has them marked up to $74.99, but I could add a CMF and get the pumpkin poly and first mini-mini modular. Not bad for a retired set that is ready to go through its first holiday season retired... Anybody have any inspirational ideas on how to get maximum value from this promotion?

So it's been quite slow on the Canadian deals thread so I thought I'd post this: All Galaxy Squad sets 50% off, makes for good gifts if not for investment. Sept 27th, spend $100 or more and earn 30x airmiles. Free Geoffrey the Giraffe ($5.99 value) when you spend $30 or more on any Lego set (they say any, but it excludes Galaxy Squad...) Also bonus airmiles for buying other Legos but not worth posting.

Just an update for collectors/investors in Canada...GE's are sold out at TRU.ca and Amazon.ca only show's 1 left. Surprised me, I was hoping to wait it out until LEGO Shop at Home is sold out (eventually) first before buying another GE at TRU.ca to delay spending but looks like TRU ran out of stock first. We don't have have GE's in our Walmarts, Chapters/Indigo, Targets, Mastermind, BB/FS etc. and apparently out of stock locally in my area at all 3 Lego Stores in Toronto and Lego Discovery Centre so I would recommend folks pick up at least ONE at LEGO Shop at Home before it's gone from retailers. I purchased another GE today, used my available VIP pts and …

Hi guys, Just spot a 50% off deal at Sears, see here: http://www.sears.ca/product/lego-creator-highway-pickup-set/616-000053108-4654041. For this Creator set although it has been retired but there seems no much investment potential, I think it could still be a perfect gift! I bought this thing last year for my son's birthday at 20% off, and it is quite good. Personally I have grabbed extra 4 more for the Xmas season. Good luck!

Hey Guys! On Saturday morning i got an in-stock notification for the Huanted House at TRU.ca, but by the time i got the computer it was gone guessing they only had a couple, maybe even returns. With the States getting some in Target online though i thought this might be Canada's share of the most recent batch. So i was watching the listing all day just in case it popped back in or they allocated more of the stock they just received or whatever. Today i went to check and a link to the listing is gone again, but i did check the RI just for kicks. RI was in stock online and i grabbed a few! There were only 10 total, and i left 5. I also see that some stor…

Just dropped into the local Walmart on the way home yesterday & noticed they had clearance tags on several Ninjago & Chima Lego sets (moved to an end cap) some of the savings were a whopping 86 cents below reg. on the tag! wow! I suppose maybe this was just a placeholder for something for the weekend???

With the new big box retailer Target just about to put its footprint into Canada, the question is up?! Will these stores have Lego sets for sale and will the famous variety/discounts/price matching be available to us? Or it is going to be the same $%*ty selection/pricing here in Canada than Walmart and the others have...?!

Out of your entire collection, how much would you say you bought from Canada (e.***. a Canadian Lego Store, Walmart, Target, etc) for investing? I would have to say out of my collection it's pretty much less than 10%. Most of my stuff comes from state side or the UK. Insane markups + HST in Ontario just make the prices a joke compared to what our friends in the USA get.

This really isn't to brag but more market speculation/observation in nature. I average about $500 CDN a month in sales using Craigslist and Amazon only. Christmas is better obviously but I've noticed a lot of people commenting about sales being down since then whereas with over a week left in this month I've already had my best sales ever at $800. Nothing else has changed as best I can tell. No material additions to the sets offered or changes to price. In fact one of my better sellers the Raptor Rampage is dead now that sets are back in store. I'm selling a mix of Hobbit, superheroes, and Star Wars primarily. Just thought it was an odd result given the prevailing sentime…

I'm talking items like the Parisian restaurant where the price hasn't moved but price wise sit at a lower cost for Canadians. (in usd conversion). Anyone else thinking it might be time to start buying a bit extra before prices escalate?
