  1. I just assume everyone is doing it 'part-time' , but if anyone is doing it out of their house on a full time basis it would interesting to hear from those individuals. I'm at the point where many months I gross more reselling only on eBay than I gross working my day job!

  2. Started by jeff_14,

I've been to a few locations in Toronto and they have some Ninjago and swamp police sets for 25% off. I used to find good lego deals at a few places fairly regularly over the years but now they just seem to get a handful of sets for the holidays and that's it.

  3. Soo who got in on the Able Auction of lego from police recovery? Loaded with a lot of GOOD sets. had this on my radar for a week or so but then checked the prices last night to prep and see which sets i wanted to bid on and how much but was shocked to see the eaqrly online bidding had already taken most of the sets close to if not same as ebay prices.. UGGH. did any one do this auction and get anything good for a decent price? http://bid.ableauctions.ca/INDUSTRIAL-EQUIPMENT-VEHICLES-POLICE-RECOVERY-LEGO-AUCTION-LANGLEY-BC_as44683_p18

http://pages.ebay.ca/sellerinformation/news/fallupdate16/ I've only skimmed it so far... looks pretty benign at first glance. Anyone else have good or bad things to say? I just started listing items for sale again this week (sold 2 Technic sets the first day) but traffic seems to be pretty slow.

  5. I have a premium store account where I 'tried' to migrate my .CA account to a .COM account mainly so I can continue listing in USD like I always have done (back in May). Well ever since I can't relist my expired store listing without getting an error saying they have to be converted back to CDN. Also the bulk uploader apparently does not work on eBay.com anymore! No bulk loading is not cool since I relist monthly over 500 items. Called eBay today and they said nothing they can do and many Canadian sellers are affected. I'm being charged USD fees from ebay.com but getting none of the benefits as a eBay.com store seller. They also can't revert my store account back to …

  7. As the title says - the small mom&pop LEGO store Lasting Toys in Mississauga appears to be closing it's doors and is having a sale to sell through their stock. They sell a wide range of LEGO, including the current stuff at retail prices, and retired sets at a markup. I'm local to their store, so i'll be checking it occasionally, but their large exclusives (even the ones currently available) usually have a markup already applied, so even at %10 off there isn't much of a deal there. Either way i figure i'd post this for anyone local to the store looking for something, i'm sure there will be good deals to find at some point. The sales are as follows (currently)…

Perhaps this would be a useful topic. I searched all topics under the Canada forums and nothing really stood out as a good place to discuss "Would you/Should you Buy or Sell?" Let's keep the conversation simple and avoid those specifics particular to each of our individual situations, such as needing cash now, needing to move stock etc. I'd like to focus discussions on each particular offer, considering factors such as set value and prediction on the future of the set(s). Let me start it off. On a local buy/sell site I posted 2 separate ads, one for 75054 (At-At) at $225 and the other for 10225 (R2-D2) for $450. I was offered $600 for both. Would you? Why/…

  13. Started by thirsty,

Thirsty has spent the last three years raiding walmarts, cleaning out Targets, skulking around TRU and dutifully hitting the local Lego store as often as possible but not often enough to arouse all kinds of suspicions... So here I sit with all kinds of Lego, Orc Forges, Deadpools NIB, Fire Brigades, Haunted Houses, 7964's, 7965's, 9515's, etc, etc.... All kinds of stuff, multiples in almost all cases. Work slowed up (I'm in Alberta) so I am looking at holes in my schedule I can fill with getting my newly minted biz off the ground (GST # and everything). Going to get a new address ( a suite at the nearest UPS store), credit card is on the way. Pay Pal registration up n…

  16. Started by Vodium,

Was just wondering if anybody here ships their oversized letter mail orders in boxes that meet the 2 cm rule. I only use bubble mailers at the moment, but my friend works at a company that makes custom boxes. So I'm getting him to look into pricing for me. Or does Canada post not really like boxes for letter mail? I couldn't find anything saying that it couldn't be. If I could simple fit an order into a box instead of having to nicely package everything (which I find is my biggest time consumer) so that it perfectly fits in the bubble mailer and won't shift and change the thickness, it would be so much easier and faster to package letter mail orders.

Good deal on Lego Dimensions and Microsoft store. Just like Lego shop they have their normal packs on for 7.49 (50% off) but they also have the team packs and level packs on for $10 off which make them $14.99 / $19.99. The crazy deal is the DC team pack for $7.49 which is $17.50 off! Go go go as it keeps going out of stock, I was able to order a bunch: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msca/en_CA/pdp/LEGO-Dimensions-DC-Comics-Team-Pack/productID.333109500 2 minifigs and 2 mini builds seems like a very easy flip for profit especially with Suicide Squad movie coming out soon. Oh and don't forget to go through ******** for anot…

This really isn't to brag but more market speculation/observation in nature. I average about $500 CDN a month in sales using Craigslist and Amazon only. Christmas is better obviously but I've noticed a lot of people commenting about sales being down since then whereas with over a week left in this month I've already had my best sales ever at $800. Nothing else has changed as best I can tell. No material additions to the sets offered or changes to price. In fact one of my better sellers the Raptor Rampage is dead now that sets are back in store. I'm selling a mix of Hobbit, superheroes, and Star Wars primarily. Just thought it was an odd result given the prevailing sentime…

  20. Started by Substored,

Yeah so ive been watching the series 13 bags like a "hawk" waiting to pounce at the first sign of sale or clearance prices. Well i thought i was a hawk but now when i look everywhere i dont even see them for sale even at regular prices anymore. I swear i was checking a few stores which included london drugs and TRU almost daily. then one day they all got replaced by series 15. O.o and even then series 14 are almost gone from my local TRU and still no signs of sale or clearance $$ do they go that fast or was I a sleep at the wheel? Did anyone else see them on sale at all and where what province?

  23. Started by Zender,

Any Canadians out there interested in buy a large bulk lot of 115 sets? I would like to sell it in Canada because I think the cost of shipping to the US tracked etc is going to be insane. It is currently taking up two 100+L Rubbermaid containers. I bought a large amount from a local person that kids had grown up and they were moving and needed to get rid of all their toys and lego. It was a lot more work than I expected and after almost 3 months and hundreds of hours, myself and my kids have it all sorted out and want to sell it (which was our end goal when buying). Our 2 week estimate was way off so getting a little pressure to get this sold. All sets around fr…

Woah, that would explain the lack of stock and clearances going on... If you follow CBC on twitter they are now confirming that Target is pulling it's Canadian Operations. http://pressroom.target.com/news/target-corporation-announces-plans-to-discontinue-canadian-operations#sf35546962 Time to watch for everything going on clearance! On the downside though this is pretty sad

  25. Started by Substored,

Hey Guys, So after this last Christmas and the Canadian Tire MAdness in stores. Has Anyone been watching there online store? I checked them out and they seem to have some older harder to find sets still available. Although The prices are full price and i dont see any free shipping. My question is has anyone watched to see if there online store goes on clearance or sale? The same sets in stores were discounted 20-30% which seems weird to me that they are full price online.. Let me know what you guys think and if anyone has bought stuff online through them what your experience was. Thanks
