Best way to sell bulk lego? Divide into colors and sell by the pound? Is it worth it going after some of the better sets in the pile? I have more than one old airport (3182, 60022), trainsets, some Indiana Jones and maybe a Hogwarts Castle. Also the construction crawler and some bigger boats. It wouldn't phase me to buy the instructions and possibly a used box on brinklink and piece it together for completion. What about minifigs? A bit of everything, some star wars, etc. Sell in bulk. Wheels and windows? Piles of them, divide them out and sell? I've been separating the crap blocks from OG Lego and then washing. What should I do with the BT…

  3. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/canada-revenue-agency-paypal-1.4403027 PayPal operates as a legal bank entity in Canada so this was inevitable ... but maybe they should fix the tax laws businesses use to avoid paying taxes instead of going fishing.

Was just at the main store across from the Eaton Centre looking for Star Wars black series figures and was surprised to see they had a mix of the new Star Wars and superheroes lego sets available. I doubt this is a sign of much as the other 2 locations down here I went to didn't have any, and there wasn't even a discount available for EB Games Edge members, but keep your eyes peeled. When God shuts a Sears window, he opens an EB door.

Since I know many of you need good boxes to ship your sets, I have a large pile of quality boxes (mostly LEGO Shop at Home) of all sizes ready for pickup by anyone in the region of Montreal. I used to stockpile boxes for gravtation, but I believe I may have already flooded his stock, his reserve and the backup. And my apologies if the post is somewhat off-topic. The boxes (100+) need to go this week. Thank you!

The other week I was buying lego on Best Buy and noticed they have a lot of sellers of lego with their own listings on the site. Yesterday I got cold emailed by them because one of their people saw my Amazon listings and invited me to list on their site. Here's their promo video.

We will have our 2nd Technic meet and great with builders and enthusiasts of Technic or Lego in general. It will take place in a about a week or two just north of Toronto in Vaughan. If anyone is interested you can PM me. There are several people coming including @loxlego and his brother Dugald who will both be coming and I am sure they will be bringing their current builds.

Slightly off topic and off season, but I ordered a Lego Ninjago (Kai) costume from Amazon.ca for my son - it arrived today and I am very impressed with the quality for the price paid... the prices are all over the place, but it's worth a look if you have a young Ninjago or Nexo Knights fan in your house. I paid $13.61 for this, sold directly by amazon (not a 3rd party seller): https://www.amazon.ca/Disguise-Costumes-Deluxe-Ninjago-Costume/dp/B01BTYQYIC/ref=pd_sim_21_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=6YPJ9Z1YGKAZK21G8JBV

Bonjour, Canadians! I didn't know where to put this but this seemed to be the Canada thread. I'm visiting Quebec and Montreal next week for the first time. Furthermore, it's actually my first time in Canada as well! Any worthy LEGO hunting locations in both the cities? I'll be staying inside the city so I wanted to experience them as well as pick up some souvenirs.

Hey guys, Mastermind toys has a few Lego sets discounted up to 60%. Yellow Submarine and Caterham included: https://www.mastermindtoys.com/Categories/154-Clearance-Lego.aspx/1/80000010^231

  13. 80% off - $15 https://www.amazon.ca/LEGO-Battle-on-Takodana-75139/dp/B017B1BTD2/ref=sr_1_23?m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&s=toys&ie=UTF8&qid=1494854890&sr=1-23&keywords=lego Ordered max of 3.

  14. At my local Superstore (Loblaws), they had Lego Movie Batmobile (70905) on clearance for $52.44 and The Riddler Riddle Racer (70903) for $27.88 - both ~30% off with multiple copies available. I left them there but was tempted... If they have another weekend "no tax"event soon, it might make it worthwhile, but still borderline...thoughts anyone?

I don't think this set is particularly loved, but not a bad price on a retired set: 75092 - Naboo Starfighter - $53.99 ($6 off) - 22 left in stock at time of writing http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/lego-lego-star-wars-naboo-starfighter-75092/10372236.aspx

  17. I was working REALLY hard at work, looking up all things Lego, and learned that tickets are now available for purchase from Ticketmaster for the 2017 Vancouver Brick-Can at River Rock. Tickets are $18 each plus processing and I wanted to give a heads up to the "locals" because tickets quickly sold out last year. http://www.brickcan.com/event/public-exhibition

Popped in this weekend for their Star Wars weekend and they had a deal if you spend $50 you get a free Darth Revan or red arm C3PO ploybag. Took Revan naturally but my son was with me and wanted it for himself. Is it wrong that as I watched him beat up Jedi figures with it I was picturing a wad of $20s in battle? I sold 2 a few months ago for $60 each. I guess there is a price on a child's happiness. Also of note, they were selling Dr. Who and Big Bang Theory for $20 off each, on top of the 10% discount if you're a member. I think there was a sale on all the advents too. These don't seem to be becoming scarce like in past years by this point. I see lots of each one a…

While it's not a deal, I didn't know where I should put this, so my apologies in advance. Does anybody know if we can sign up for a Canada Post Small Business card without encountering any issues? I know someone who has one and they've let me use it a few times and I'd love to keep getting that discount. I don't ship a ton of stuff, but what I do ship is pretty large. I'm not registered as a business or small business and don't want to run into any legal issues here. Thanks for any insight

  23. Has anyone heard anything about a potential price increase for sets in Canada next year? The Canadian dollar is extremely week, yet for many of the larger sets is actually cheaper in Canada versus anywhere else in the world when converting pricing to USD. For example, the Porsche retails for $300USD in the US or $350CAD in Canada. Yet when you convert $300USD into $CAD the price converts to $400CAD (right now Canada is the cheapest place in the world to buy this set when comparing USD). Does anyone expect any price adjustments in the near future or is this just a story of economics where a Porsche set probably wouldn't sell to well at $400CAD...? (Note: The…

Longtime readers will know of my usual contempt for this Toronto chain which seems to price all of their lego and many other toys "on sale" at 20% above the MSRP. However they just did me a huge solid today so I figured I owed them a shout out. I missed out on the Disney minifigs (apart from 3) and still needed 4 Simpsons minifigs. The location near my office still had a number of these series left at $6.99 CDN each so I normally would pass on taking a chance but just happened to ask the desk jockey if he was any good at smooshing. Turns out they have already pre-smooshed and actually printed labels on the back of each of them identifying which figure it is! So I now have…
