Some hard to find/exclusives are 30% off this week, including the Millennium Falcon, AT-AT, Sanctum Santorum, and Jazz Club. A few of these have inflated prices or may only be for pickup. Yay LEGO!

Looks like it's no tax day tomorrow in the GTA, plus I got a PC Plus offer to get $15 worth of points for spending $150, as well as $5 of points for every $20 spent on toys. All together that can add up to a 45% discount off the taxes included price, and that's before accounting for any of the clearance prices that are often available.

For us Canadians...free neat little lawn mower with $30 Lego building set purchase. Looks like a cool vehicle build. In the flyer starting tomorrow. Just in time for Halloween and you horror/Walking Dead/zombie fans, put some red nail polish on the mower blades and act out a zombie scene with minifig parts/pieces scattered.

I just bought a bunch of 75099 Rey's Speeders from Costco which have been marked down to 12.97. Grabbed 6 only but they had like a pallet lol. This is west coast Costco price, not sure if East coast shares the same pricing.

Didn't see a main thread for chapters. They seem to have revamped their plum rewards program, on sept 10th you get 10x the plum points limited to one transaction per plum member. Couldn't find any exclusions for Lego. So instead of getting 5 points per $1 spent, you will get 50. I plan on getting 60 S14 CMF which should give 11,850 points which is $25 in points which comes out to around 10% off. Anybody else take advantage of plum points?

Many stores have 30% off sets. Also, until December 21, you can get 4% in points with any purchase type, or 8% if you have a CT card. Wide range of sets are available and a couple were already below MSRP so it worked out to 45% off (based on 4% points). Yay LEGO!

Mastermind Toys has begun a little random sale with a few things at 40% off: http://www.mastermindtoys.com/Clearance-Sale.aspx?_outline=Brand--b10 The set 70163, Ultra Agents Toxic Meltdown, might not be a bad deal. Note that there are no provincial taxes for Quebec residents (and probably other provinces as well, I'm not sure how spread out Mastermind Toys is).

I haven't posted in a while, and the forum's activity is pretty low, but I realize there hasn't been a sale worth reporting in months. I'm actually surprised, I have been selling parts for 4 years, and I don't remember seeing such a drought of sales to resplenish the inventory. In fact, I have bought almost nothing to part out in the past 7 months! Did TLG solve the non-linear system of equations to achieve the perfect production-sale equilibrium? Is the great 2x4 brick in the sky frowning upon our erethic ways? Is it an early sign of humanity entering a new post-plastic age?

While perusing their Labour Day sale the other week I came across 5 of the 76017 Captain America vs Hydra tank set on their site for MSRP. These go for 3 times that on Amazon so that was a no brainer. Apparently third party sellers can sell on their site as there are a few people selling EOL sets and individual minifigs on there once you go deep enough into the lego listings.

I could not find another thread for a similar topic, but apologies if there is one. I would like to start selling some of my extra sets on Ebay, but am not sure how to tackle shipping. I'd appreciate any insight from some of the more experienced BP'ers based in Canada. 1) If my Ebay listing is Buy It Now, and I list a single shipping price, and offer shipping to Canada and Continental US, should I pick a price that basically averages the cheapest and most expensive shipping locations? 2) Do most people ship Regular Parcel, or Priority? If Regular Parcel, I presume you would add tracking. 3) When is it worth it to include insurance? Any other les…

Pretty much everything in two stores I went to this morning were on sale/clearance. Most were 20-30% off. Not that great, but today only when you spend $200 you get a $50 gift card (to spend on more Lego, of course). I grabbed AT-ATs, Imperial Star Destroyers and Brick Bountys. I doubt the most popular (and already retired sets) won't make it very long today, but the gift card should be good to grab some of the slower moving sets tomorrow. Now I'm checking store stock and planning to hit up a few more farther away to clear out the SW sets I want.

I know, I know, "But Jeff" you may ask, "what does Hudson's Bay have to do with toys in general and lego in particular?" Before today I'd have asked much the same, but a funny thing happened the last few weeks. As I am wont to do, I was out for a midday work break stroll through ye olde PATH system in downtown Toronto which sometimes takes me through the bowels of the flagship Bay store. Walking past the luggage area a couple of weeks ago I was shocked, shocked I tell you, to discover a sizeable amount of retail wall space completely empty with nothing but white shelves. What could this be I asked, wondering if Saks was just getting on with the inevitable and devouring th…

Was just at Newmarket Disney store and they have the new Luke and Leia Death Star Escape set available. I asked the desk jockey if Lego was going to be a regular offering and got a “probably” as a response. He also said they got some spider-man sets in after Christmas but they were all gone. Other comments talked about millennials going through money like water. Good time had by all.

I've been following the main Amazon thread about requiring third party sellers to show toy safety certifications for certain listings and wonder if this is a US only issue for now? Have any Canadian sellers been affected by this? I sell FBM on Amazon and haven't heard a peep. Related question, did Amazon Canada start gating toy sellers up here the way they did in the US?

I saw on their Facebook page last night and my visit this morning that they have some minifigs for sale in addition to the usual action figures. Mostly Simpsons and Series 11-14 figures were present. They said they got them in bulk from a friend and they were reasonably priced in my opinion. More common figures were $5 and the most expensive was $15 (the magician). I picked up a few to encourage this new direction (including the magician, Comic Book Guy, space miner and Egyptian soldier). Surprisingly for a comic book shop, they had no superheroes or Star Wars minifigures. They said they'd be open to buying more for resale so I may take some of my less in demand doubles t…
