Star Wars Sets

Whether you love them or hate them, the Star Wars™ Sets are a huge success!

  1. My wife fully supports my SW lego addiction, proving it with Christmas presents in a shipping box of various light sets and accessories from the "Light My Brick" online store. Light My Bricks has two different generations or versions where the later generation stuff seems to be marked as 2.0's. The difference appears to be the tiny wiring. One version has wire that is more like a thread and the other is more of a flat stip. Both perform well with hiding under bricks and both round corners well. The company's website includes the instructions for each set so they save on printing and shipping. The instructions are high quality and similar to lego build instru…

  2. I recently picked up one of the old NBA lego sets, and for fun I put Star Wars characters on the court, what do you think?

Hi, I'm looking for a NIB/NISB Freeco Speeder (8085). The box doesn't have to be in good condition, but the ship should be unbuilt/still in the bags and include stickers. If you have an MISB, I obviously wouldn't shun that either. Let me know if you're interested and I will let you know what I have to offer.

  6. Not really related to Lego, but Stuart Freeborn died Wednesday at the age of 98. He helped create Yoda, Chewbacca, the Ewoks, Jabba the Hutt, and the Wampa in the first three SW movies. He was instrumental in designing/building these iconic Star Wars characters. May the Force be with him. R.I.P. 7. Curious as to if people think Star Wars lego displays utilizing 10,000+ bricks, on the huge scale, would be able to find new homes at a fair price. I need a hobby according to the girlfriend (something that has me doing something for hours). Just got out of college, self employed, will still be several years of building a base and certifications before I become busy. Haven't touched legos in years, but it's something I could envision myself doing in the basement. Given I'm still rather young and not going to stay where I am more than a couple years (I really don't like hauling a lot around, especially big stuff), and a lack of space, I'd need to get it out the door aft…

Why are all the midi scale sets not popular and not worth anything in the secondary market? I have never owned one so that is why I ask. Is it because they do not come with minifigs?

  13. Started by cargoyle,

Hello Lego Collectors and investors. I have a question concerning a MF set which I recently was lucky enough to come across that a friend was selling. He said he had bought it directly from lego when it came out (it's a First Edition) and that he had opened the seals and looked at the contents and then closed it back up. All the contents appear to be there, but there are sooooo many bags. Does anyone know exactly what the contents should be and how many bags there should be? I see the instruction book, 2 loose gray "fences", 2 stickers (1 is the data plate sticker and the other is chrome), and 80 clear plastic bags of varying size. Any help would be greatly apprecia…

  14. Hi Guys, I bought a 75192 Millennium Falcon earlier this year for my collection, but decided that I rather re-sell it, as I don't have a place to put this. But since I have never been an investor myself, I have a dilemma if I should sell it now or hold onto it for a while to make some profit. I have it in excellent condition, original LEGO box, untouched seal. What do you guys suggest? As I see the market value is around 1300$ on ebay and amazon, do you think it is okay to sell it now there? Or you have suggestion on where should I sell it? ps.: If you are interested, I am more than happy to talk, I would be happy if someone would enjoy it!

  15. Started by Sed6,

I have a complete 75211 TIE with the Mimban Stormtrooper. I was shocked to find the minifig value is so high. So now I'm wondering what I should do: A. Sell the fig by itself today B. Sell the fig with the TIE today C. Keep them both and look again in 6-8 years Why 6-8 years? Because they are in storage in my attic and won't come out of storage again until my 2yo son is old enough to play with them. I don't invest or speculate in Lego, I just buy what I like and in this one particular case I have a valuable minifig. I don't need the money. $50 today or $500 in the future means nothing to me. I'm leaning towards selling it (or them) today only bec…

I thought about selling my 6211 for a new 75055 ISD, but changed my mind after seeing a comparison video. While the 75055 seems to be a sturdier build, mine is for display only. So I decided to add a little to the sides. What do you think? Comments/suggestions?

  17. ...Bobba Fett and Han Solo...more and more info coming out... http://insidemovies.ew.com/2013/02/06/star-wars-spin-offs-young-han-solo-movie-boba-fett/ Lots of cool info... Can't wait to see what this does to older sets. Bet we get to see how Han won the MF?

  18. Started by Sandwraith,

Hey Guys! So a couple months ago i started the long painful process of brickbuilding the 10179. I had many of the parts already from having a very large collection of light gray pieces, and i had been starting to really see the imperfections and scale issues with my 7965 Falcon on display (granted it's not a display model by any means, but it was better than spending thousands for the 10179). 7965 was also the set that brought me out of the dark ages. After trying for month to get a used one on CL or Kijiji, i caved and decided to start. Once finished i realized it was much larger than i thought, and had trouble finding a spot to display it. When i finally did fin…

Everyone has a guess as to when the death star will reach EOL, well here is my prediction......it will be available till the end of time!! That's right folks, 20,30,40 years from now it will still be available on amazon, S@H ect. So all you hoarders out there just go ahead and rip into those boxes and start building ( Cough cough.....Ed!!) Lol just giving you a hard time Ed, but if you truly do have two cars full of LEGOs because you don't have anymore room....I'm calling A@E and we are gonna get you on that show!

I was thoroughly disappointed that Target Online sold out of all the Star Wars sets in less than a day after the sale was listed here on Brick Picker. So I stopped by last night and decided to load up. Got the Gungan Sub, Tie Fighter, V-Wing, Droid Escape, Battle of Naboo and Sith Fury (plus some other City sets). They had plenty of inventory on the shelves of the SW sets. (at least 10 each) Makes me wonder that they sold out online due to the word getting out on all the Lego forums and that online buyers are probably collectors more than kids or parents buying sets to play with....

So I just bought a sealed Target combo pack of sets 7144(slave 1) and 7110(Landspeeder) at a garage sale for $71 both MIB. I know its at basicly market value but I have not seen the combo pack on ebay. I was wondering if this gave it any extra value or did I just buy both sets at mp? sorry about the bad quality picture its the only one I could find online. http://www.toysperiod.com/lego-set-reference/star-wars/star-wars-episodes-4-5-6/lego-vp-2-star-wars-co-pack-of-7110-and-7144/ Thanks in advance

There is 6 sets to choose from that I really like and want to see what other Star Wars fans recommend to get me started. So if you could just answer the poll it would be much appreciated, thanks! ☺️
