Watch at about 0:06 in the video... On the right-side, in front of the Duplo set, we can see a brick-built toy-soldier in the typical Christmas promo packaging! Looks like another promo WINNER again!

I just tried to place an order and noticed the Christmas promo didn't pop up in my cart. I called customer support and they said that they ran out of stock yesterday! Bummer...just sharing the news.

I bought 5 or 6 of the Holiday Bauble 853345 (gold bricks) on clearance a few months back... can't recall what I paid... $2 or $3 each? Have had them on Amazon FBM ever since at the lowest price ($11.90 shipped) and have not sold a single one (despite this being the cheapest Lego ornament I found in a quick search). I was just thinking about opening them up and parting out the bricks. Interesting... the tag says "43 pcs"... I now learned that means 40 bricks + 2 ornament halves + 1 gold ribbon. Doing a little more research, I see that a few are selling on eBay around $10 each... maybe I'll just do that. One other idea... part out the bricks, and sell the empty bauble…

I absolutely LOVE these sets, and wish I had the dough to buy them! The locations are so cheerful, and there is usually a cool vehicle included. I think these are MUCH better looking and better for display than the traditional lighted porcelin christmas diorama, especially for nerds like us, I was talking to a kid in my homeschool group abot Lego, when the old president of our group walked up. She said that every year, she buys three of that years winter village sets, builds one, and sells the other two to pay for it! It seems funny to me that an older lady (no offense to any of you out there) would think of this or even be interested in Lego! I had just found B…

Hi. Quick question this time please. Are the winter village sets - (10222, 10229, 10235 etc) available from Lego for 3-4 months only, or do they get a limited time release in subsequent years also?

It seems to me that by now we should either have leaked info/images of Halloween 2014 sets/polybags or we should have a "coming soon" entry at Lego.com. I base this on the fact that last year Lego started selling the 40055 pumpkin on August 31 and the year before was much the same. So, we are two weeks away from when they would normally release the set and there is not any info I cn find. Has anyone found anything out that I haven't been able to find with trusty Googling?

List from 2016 rumors on hothbricks 40122 Trick or Treat 40123 Thanksgiving Feast 40124 Winter Fun 40125 Santa's Visit 40138 Christmas Train 40139 Gingerbread House 40140 Flower Wagon 40141 Bricktober Hotel 40142 Bricktober Train Station 40143 Bricktober Bakery 40144 Bricktober Toys R Us Store Most are predictable, but Christmas Train 40138 and Gingerbread House 40139 are Interesting. Given the numbering these could be mini builds (4013X), though that would put the christmas train in Jan?, or promo polys (like 40140) and the mini builds are only planed th…

Apparently we're getting holiday BrickHeadz next year. Hopefully these are additional holiday sets and aren't replacing the vignette sets.

A topic to discuss about the winter sets since the carnival set is known... First, do you think there will be some more winter sets to come, or is the Winter Village Market (10235) the last one, and some kind of a transition with the new carnival theme set (10244) that has been shown ? It would explain why LEGO 10235 has been retired so quickly (if you put aside snow and winter, it's about the same "spirit" as the "10244 carnival mixer" with bunch of small stands around a big roundabout) If the Carnival Theme replaces the Winter Village theme, do you think winter sets will drop in value ? (people focusing on the new carnival theme) I think the winter s…

I was considering surprising the fam with one of the winter sets to build for holiday decoration. Given the somewhat discouraging reviews of the Santa Workshop, which of the others would you recommend instead? It has to be reasonably obtainable though, so likely not long since retired sets. Is winter village market a fun set to build and display?

I have a few WVM I was going to hold onto until Christmas season 2015 (retired at that point). Seeing how Santa'sW is almost constantly TOOS, would you unload the WVM this year and start loading up on Santa'sW for Christmas season 2016? (assuming historical retirement schedule of course) Santa's Workshop seems like it will be a massive score EOL. Thoughts?
