Hello All - i tried to search this, but did not come up with anything.... i recently bought instructions off ebay for a modular building, and it includes the instructions, as well as parts inventory. - it then, in another file comes with a coded computer list to get all the parts with the fewest and cheapest sellers as possible. i was wondering how this is done? - is another site besides brick link i should be using? I'm reaching out for help on a giant project that I'm working on for my son's birthday. I've built a massive table and glued 32x32 baseplates (15 of them) to the legs of the table. My plan was to cover the baseplates in tiles for a nice finish...Ive got quite a few tiles I can pull from my very small bricklink inventory. Now comes the tricky part. I need enough tiles to cover 15,360 holes on these baseplates. Purchasing that many tiles off of bricklink would cost me a small fortune. I've got enough out of my inventory for only about half at the moment. So for you longtime bricklink store operators or shoppers are there any sets out there that are overly loaded with …

So I know how to get a set into Bricklink, in the wanted list, see the wanted list by store count. Is there anyway to do a automatic mass buy? Do I need to go to each store individually and pick all the parts they have? I am trying to see the cost estimate to fully bricklink a set. I mostly only buy single parts from BL.

I'm taking my son to Brickworld this weekend in Chicago. It's our first time. For you veterans out there - what is the best way to get tickets? I'd rather get in quickly than save $2 with Groupon. So what's the best way to obtain tickets (online or at the door) and get through admissions line quickly? Do tickets ever sell out? Thanks everyone!

Hi all, I have over the last 2 years started to collect the Exclusives and I nearly have them all now. I broke the seal on the first two boxes that I bought (as I was a novice and had no idea of the value). I regret this now. But what does this really do to the value of the box? or should I buy a second box with a closed seal as investment? Thanks for your help! Cheers, Antal

Hello, right now I have a reputation of ~52. I'll probably start to sell set seriously in 1 year. Until then, should I try to sell on ebay to raise my reputation as a seller? With all the ebay scam, I think reputation start to be really important.

What is the going rate for bulk LEGO bricks? If I were to offer someone $3/lb would that be an insult? Is there any money to be made in re-selling these? Thanks!

If I could have only one Lego set, it would be 852293, the Castle Giant Chess Set. I own 36 other sets, but not the one I covet most. I've spent more than it costs. I've built more than it costs. But I haven't sold enough to not feel guilty about dropping 1500 bucks on one set. Once, I asked my wife if I could use 3 grand to buy the best 10179 I could find. Hello my Lego Brothers and Sisters... I joined the Lego VIP program awhile back and do a good bit of shopping on the site, but I'm going to start having the opportunity to go to various Lego stores in my travels (yay!) and I have a newbie-store-shopper question: If I purchase $75, I get a free hot dog cart on the site. I know that holds true in the stores, too, but what happens if I purchase $150? Do I get two hot dog carts (I don't when I order online, it's one per order, so I place orders every $75 or as close as I can hit it). I was recently at a Walmart where Helm's Deep was discounted at $90. They had about 4 sets there and would have picked up a couple of these, but all the boxes were beat! Is this a deterrent for any of you if you plan on keeping a set for investment purposes?

I'm looking for a new/unopened first edition 10179 millennium falcon as well as a 10182 cafe corner. I'm having problems finding sellers that will ship to Australia with items in excellent condition that are not about four times the market rate. The acrylic boxes are cool, but I can build one myself for considerably less. I noticed that some people sell Legos by the pound on Ebay. Is that cheaper that way and what is the average price for a pound of bricks?

Greeting gents, It seems to me that we have here on this site more then enough members who spend MORE then enough money investing or collecting Lego that we could easily approach a distributor and get our fix wholesale instead of scrambling every time a GC is 5% off or TRU is having a sale on what is otherwise inflated prices. Does anyone have any ino on who we might approach with such an offer. If even 50 members that spend 3k a year were to get together your talking 150k worth of buying power. If folks on MASSdrop can do it, I don't see any reason why we couldn't. Any thoughts?

Cant seem to find much on people buying sets in the secondary market for investing (if anyone knows of a forum then please can you point me in its direction). Anyway, what sets are people looking at in the secondary market after they've been retired. I'm still a newbie AFOL on the collecting/investing scene. Looking at what sets I could buy ofr investment purposes but having a hard time considering anything that has already gone up by 50% over the MRSP that's been retired since 2014. Has anyone ever tried buying up sets right after Lego has stopped making them? I think the advantages to this kind of an investment is you don't have to keep guessing when the set is going to stop being made. I know with the Emerald Night when it sold out after Black Friday you could get one for $150.

Went to my local Wal-Mart and found a few Helms Deep sets marked down to $89.00; I grabbed the nice ones, but noticed one had the thick two-inch tape around the middle. I checked the seals, they didn't look tampered with at all, and the box didnt seem like it was missing anything, but it was still concerning. Was wondering if it would still be worth picking up at $89?

Hi all, I live in Windsor, ON, about 15 minutes from Detroit. My wife wants to do some shopping tomorrow and this will be my first time post-Christmas to hit up LEGO deals in the USA. Are people still seeing clearance items at Wal-Mart, Target and/or TRU? I'm also considering Wally World (if I can find one in MI), Kmart, Barnes and Noble, etc. Any more I should add to this list? How popular do you think a LEGO chess set would be if you blended themes? For example a LEGO Star Wars with a Lord of the Rings, Vikings vs Knights, Bionicle vs Hero Factory. Anything really. I just think it would be great to see a box with multiple branding and all those different minifgure types.
