Just starting a thread for it. Anyone else have any luck finding these sales? I'll check some places today on my way home from work. It sounds like it may be a store specific clearance though, but i hope i'm wrong!

Just a heads up for those that don't check flyers - TRU in Canada looks like they'll have a decent promo on Friday and Saturday. Airmiles promo (over $75) plus $20 off giftcard for future purchase (over $80) PLUS the Lego Movie DVD (over $75 spent) PLUS select sets 25% off. I plan to go at store opening tomorrow, as I'm sure if there are decent sets at 25% off they'll go quickly. The sets are City/Superheroes/SW. TRU Canada has 20% off all Basic, Juniors, Hero Factory, and Castle. Nothing great, but one set that did catch my eye strictly for the minifig collector is Defend the Batcave. It`s an atrocious set, but the light blue Batman looks great.

I commented on this in a thread regarding R5 from TRU.ca, but figured it deserves it's own thread as this is pretty major imo... it looks like many exclusives no longer apply for free shipping over $25, or even $10 off shipping. Friday always seems to be an expensive day! Credit card regularly gets a workout before the weekend Haven't seen any clearance deals on Monsters in my local area yet so thought 20% off is good enough to order 6 Haunted Houses. Harder to find than VC and other smaller sets (excluding Zombies of course). Hope this set retires really soon...Sept/Oct should be a decent indicator on the investment potential.

My local TRU price matched the online only Walmart deals. Worth trying it out, but I would say it is manager's discretion.

Just arrived in Richmond BC and found a stash come in. $34.95 each. They had a box of ten. Went there with my friend to grab 4 each. They gave us a $15 gift card for spending $100. I left two on the shelf. Should still be there as I finished dinner and saw them collecting dust. Sold a few of these at $80 shipped. You canadians have it good. Everything is dirt cheap.

Anyone tempted by the 1/2 off Goblin King Battle or 40% off Mining Truck? I'm considering doing it, although the Goblin King always seems to be discounted, well, everywhere. I don't know how many of these I want to stock. That being said, with the second film on the horizon, maybe the first wave will EOL sometime around Christmas or into early 2014. Also, the turkey poly and minifg sets aren't as good as last years - I liked the ghost poly and the vintage minifig sets more.
