I'm going to toot my own horn for a minute and show off the Lego table I just built for my girls. Not all the drawers are in, but there is a trough in the front with holes so they can slide all the excess Legos directly into the top drawers. It was a fun build and they like it - plus it's a little more play area than the everyday play table.

Just a cool update on who is going to play batman in the upcoming moving Superman and Batman. Ben affleck is going to take the role as batman! This is according to yahoo and other sources. So what's your opinion on him playing batman?

So the gf just got accepted into a Master's program and we only have one laptop in the house, the one I use nearly everyday for my online Bachelor's classes. We haven't bought a computer in about 4-5 years, and don't have alot of experience on what is good to buy. I'm hoping a guru around here could provide suggestions. Here's the specifics to narrow it down a bit: -Don't want to spend more than 400 -Needs to have ability to run windows, MS office, multiple web browsers -Don't need any kind of advanced graphics card -Don't necessarily need disc drive, but need minimum of 300 GB for power point presentations, photos, large PDF files -Itunes wi…

I figured the others, especially those like myself who just returned to Legos after dark ages, might learn a thing or two like I did. http://gizmodo.com/5019797/everything-you-always-wanted-to-know-about-lego

  7. It's never too early to start getting ready for a convention, right?! CVII was just announced to be taking place in Anaheim, CA April 16-19, 2015. LEGO generally goes to this so let the whining begin over the various exclusives they will have that won't be readily available to everyone else in the world. But seriously, Star Wars Celebrations are pretty cool and filled with exclusive items just like various Comic Cons. http://www.theforce.net/story/front/Star_Wars_Celebration_VII_Announced_At_CEII_Closing_Ceremonies_153455.asp

PLEASE keep in mind while reading I'm HIGHLY medicated for a couple weeks till we find a right dose. As a lot of you know I have nothing but time on my hands, My girlfriend bought me an HO scale train set. so I'm gonna start building a layout using my Lego builds. I know I'm gonna have a Star Wars spot using the mini's. I'm also gonna build a town (or something) around my mini mod. Guess I'm looking for ideas on what to use please. I was also wondering if the Lego builds you can download from apps are worth anything? I look forward to your opinions. You have all helped me out on all my other stupid questions and I'm sure I'll have many more. Thank you all

I have said before that I get some emails about good specials. I know nothing of this computer, but I know that there are some tech people here on the site. Here is a Chromebook for $169.00 on eBay, direct from Acer. Maybe you need a spare laptop to do things, maybe you always wanted to try something like this. Anyhow, here is the deal. So far they sold over 1,000 in 24 hours. Free shipping too! Acer 11.6" Chromebook 2GB 320GB Chrome OS| C710-2847

So, I just finished building the Town Hall modular. While I love the overall buildings in this theme, I'm especially a fan of the micro-builds that go along with them. When I got to building the globe that appears on the third floor of the TH, I was amazed by the piece's fantastic printing. The globe printing is amazingly accurate and I was just in awe of how cool the micro-build turned out. However I was stuck by one little detail more than anything: Do you guys see it? California is clearly separated from the rest of the United States. Now, this cannot be an accident as it would be harder for lego to design and print the little extra piece of the state rate…

Here is something I found proposed by IrishGuy66 while digging through Site Improvements and Questions a while ago: "Something that could be useful for brickpicker is online auctioning on here. Just think some investor gets a deal on a QAR so to speak, and he wants to make some quick cash, but also wants it to go to a good home. And there's also a collector on here who's been looking for that, so he goes in the auction, and bids against other collectors. You could really make a bit of an income with this for site improvement. All you have to do is charge less than eBay. Members on here are always complaining how eBay is always taking too much of their hard earned do…

Check out the custom Lego set I found for sale on eBay today - This is Spinal Tap! While was highly amused by some of the movie references they included, they missed the best one - the mini Stonehenge. Could have been a knock out, but for some reason it just misses the mark for me.

  18. I saw this topic on Eurobricks and I thought it would interesting to ask it on here. Below is the original post by Bonaparte of Eurobricks.com. Here is the link to the quote/topic below on Eurobricks.com. (In the last question I changed Eurobricks to Brickpicker and I removed "regulator (indexing, ...)" since we don't have that here on Brickpicker. I then added "writing blog articles" instead. I also bolded and underlined some words.) If anybody thinks a poll would be better please let me know so I can add it. Recently Hispabrick Magazine interviewed Jan Beyer, LEGO Community, Engagement and Events Team, in which Jan stated following:

Guys, if anyone has this set, could you tell me please if those gray parts suppose to come off the hull or if they are glued in somehow? I'm trying to clean it up and looks like something rusted there (the water goes in and out under those parts). So any chance to take them out without breaking? The heavy red brick - any tricks about that one or just leave it alone? Same problem there - a spot of rust.

Hi everyone. I am sure this questions has been asked, but I have not been on the site in a while. Did LEGO release new sets August 1? If so can anyone tell me an easy way to find new releases other than going through the LEGO site page by page? Any help would be appreciated.

I do not want to spend any money on Lego storage boxes, but my collection is getting pretty big now that my kids are amassing quite a few bricks, too. I have been building some robots with Arduinos, and started saving the lids from Jiffy peanut butter jars for wheels. When reading the Lifehacker website about getting the labels off of the peanut butter jars so that I could use the jars, too, I found that peanut butter was the solution (pun intended) to use to get that icky glue off the jar under the label. Last week I started organizing all my lego figures, and I needed a storage solutions for them. A big drawer was too big to just throw them in, so I put them …

  25. I'm thinking about re-entering the stock market. I have been considering this for a while and I'm leaning towards energy companies and mostly DJIA stocks. Anyone else invest in the stock market? What do you include in your portfolio? What are high risk stocks you consider?
