I personally like this one. Get a $100 Apple iTunes gift card for $85. That $15 is like getting a free movie, album or a bunch of apps.

Ok, so I got my Jedi Defender-class Cruiser two months ago, and while building it was impressed with the number of lughtsabers included. The amazing part though, was that out of the thirteen lightsabers in the set, only ONE had air bubbles in it. Could this be coincidence or has Lego finally solved the problem of air bubbles? Has anyone else seen less air bubbles in their lightsabers recently?

Well, I was wandering around the interwebs earlier today and bumped into this article from Yahoo! Not going to get too much into the details of the article but what made me put this over here is that the hospital where the man is rehab-ing has a Maersk ship - 10241 or 10155 - available as a form of occupational therapy. The pic was taken on 08/01/2013. It's number 13 of 33 on the slideshow. http://news.yahoo.com/photos/after-afghanistan-learning-to-walk-again-a-brave-soldier-fights-a-new-battle-1385072358-slideshow/ Do you think it is the new Triple E or the previous Container Ship? I know that there's another BP member that used Lego during his re…

Wanted to share this with you guys since you have helped me so much in the last year and you're the people to take advantage of this. Bitcoin is obviously out of control right now, I'm the idiot who sold too soon. However, as discussed in another thread, there is a newer system called "Ripple" with some major national funding and increased attention. The price right now on www.ripplecharts.com is 48 xrp per dollar. Might be something to keep an eye on...getting them is a little tricky but you guys are savvy enough to do it.

Ok so I admit it's kinda weird that I spend so much time here and haven't put a set together in well over 25 years. What's even funnier is I have had about 10k worth of LEGO sets go through my hand in the 6 month and have about 130(ish) sets right now... I figure if I am going to do a set for the first time in forever, why not make it a good one!!! I want to build a set and I am going to let the Brickpicker community decide. It is going to go as a display piece somewhere in my house or office. i would like for it to be something that near EOL. As much as I want to build a set, I am in it for the $$ so I would like to find something that you guys think wil…

I am starting to get a lot of discount promotions. This is not Lego related, but maybe someone wants to buy a new Lego game, or new supplies for the PS4 or XBOX One. This is a one day special today November 21st. If you buy online and do local pickup, you will get $10 off any order of $50 or more. Xmas time is here too, so its a way to save a few bucks that will be spending most likely anyhow. Click here!

http://games.slashdot.org/story/13/11/17/1512248/blue-light-of-death-plagues-playstation-4 And we have the winner of the first problematic next gen system award. Might affect you if you are flipping them and this happens to someone pretty early. Sony will fix it, but it could cause you problems.

I could not believe what this raggedy company was able to get away with from a Paypal purchase! http://news.yahoo.com/woman-gets--3-500-fine-and-bad-credit-score-for-writing-negative-review-of-business-233833012.html Customer gets a refund, but then fined 3,500 and a negative credit score due to merchandise that was never shipped. This crap is just nuts.

Some of you may know that I've undertaken a "30 day Lego challenge" where I'm trying to build a model or do a project to better understand the Lego system nearly every day for 30 days... In this project I did some experiments to better understand the relative proportions of the width of a brick to it's height, the width of a stud, the thickness of the wall of a brick and other relevant proportions. Overall, the system works well, but it is a bit weird. (ex: Why did they decide to make bricks taller than they are wide anyways!?) As such, I decided to "redesign" the Lego brick to eliminate some of the quirks of the system while making building techniques whi…

Let's say I was planning to post images for some of my own creations, I would like to get some feedback from fellow members that have used or still use any one of these image uploading type of sites. Aside from being a "Which is better or worst?" question, I am trying to find out a list of pros & cons. I have added a poll in case you do not feel like leaving a response. flickr - Brickshelf - MOCpages If you know of another similiar site or sites, please let me know.

It took a long time of searching the net (as well as technology itself progressing) but I finally found a program which will allow you to create your own video games without needing to write a single line of code! It is called Arcade Game Studio created by Bruno R. Marcos and became available just last year. Although you cannot exactly make every type of game there is (mainly 3D and a few specific titles), you can create just about anything similar to arcade titles from the 80's like Ghosts 'n' Goblins, Commando, Galaga, Contra, or Pac-Man, to the 90's like Black Tiger, Operation Varth, Batrider, R-Type, or Metal Slug. Oh, and did I mention the program is free? …
