Today, I got some replacement parts that I needed from a set. Usually, it take about 1-2 weeks for the pieces to come in. This time it has been four months since I have placed the request for the pieces. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else here. i do not think that it is usual for it to take that long to send the replacement parts.

Does anyone else find the designers in the videos a bit odd? Most of them seem super soft spoken, shy and seem like they don't get out all that much. They should get actors to talk about their sets. Some videos are a little uncomfortable to watch for me.

When I walk around the house I enjoy taking in the Lego sets that I have on display. It's a pretty minimal amount if a person was to ask me compared to all the crafty stuff my wife gets to put up all over the house, but I take what I can get. I get one space in the dining room on top of a china cabinet that I get to myself. I've chosen the 4504 Millenium Falcon, 7166 Imperial Shuttle, and the Z 95 Headhunter. I just took down the Grand Emporium in favor of representing Star Wars. I also have a built in bookshelf in the den that has a variety of Lego odds and ends. Mostly CMF's and Lego original material boxes for my son to beat up and toss around. On the top of tha…

Today's Top Gear episode featured LEGO. It was very briefly as an intro to a Danish car but they were there. Clarkson referred to them as "amusing children's toys." It was nice, as Sport's cars and Motoring are my other great hobby. And it is always nice when something bridges between the hobby world's like this. It kind of connects them and helps us see the great things in both hobbies. Somehow both seem to become greater than the sum of their parts. And one can truly appreciate the best of both worlds. And how our passions and our hobbies help define who we are and what we dream of. It struck a particular cord with me as one of the sets they had was t…

Brickpickers, A local boy is battling a rare form of bone cancer and has been quarantined in his house for months. His aunt is asking the community to cheer him up with a special Lego wonderland at his school. He was scheduled to make a trip to the Lego world headquarters in Denmark but that has been postponed due to recent setbacks. Read more here: http://www.toledoblade.com/local/2014/03/12/Lego-build-aims-to-cheer-ill-boy.html I am planning to donate some sealed sets but I wanted to ask if there was anyone else that would be willing to donate? The aunt's goal is 10,000 bricks. I am hoping that we can get enough support to turn this into a LE…

Hi all, After I got done playing my trumpet the other day I thought of an idea. Lego should make instrument sets. These wouldn't be minifigure size, but life size. You could display them in a case and Lego could offer different instruments. I added some pictures I've found of instruments people have made. Pretty cool looking if you ask me. I then thought of two cons relating to this idea. 1. Limited Market People will probably only buy it if they are a Lego fan and play the instrument making the potential customer pool smaller. 2. Unique parts If for example they made a trumpet, it would probably require new parts. This equals a higher cost initially to make the set.…

So reading the telegraph today and came across this article. So living in a faith based house, and it being 75% Polish, this dominated the morning discussion. Good Times, and yes I made half of the breakfast for the people that are wondering.

Hi all, I wanted to get word out about a Lego Kickstarter project that is being run by my friend Nile and I for a build taking place at the World War Brick Minneapolis 2016 convention June 10th-12th. Here is a part of our description on Kickstarter. "For this WWB event the group has decided on recreating a duel between two tanks in Cologne Germany that was actually videotaped! The two tanks involved were the infamous German Panther and a US M26 Pershing Heavy tank. Check out the Youtube video link below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBI9d0-IfEM Picture Of The Entire Diorama (It is about 3 feet wide and 4 feet in length…
