I just want to make a statement about the Walmart Stock tracker that a lot of you are asking for and spreading the word about. It really doesn't work. The information is not really there to use accurately and not even close to what the Target information provides. Talking with the head of the Walmart Affiliate/Tech group, I asked the question about getting live stock information and here are his quotes. "We do not support that ability yet." Then I asked if it was something that would happen soon... "This will take some time as it is a business decision whether to put the data out or not, not simply a technical matter." The information provided by the a…

We had a hard drive failure on the server today. I am trying to move the site to a temp server while this one is being rebuilt. That is why there have been a bunch of bugs and errors. I am trying to get things back to normal as soon as I can, but I am sure you will still having issues logging in from time to time, or see weird things. Sorry for the inconvenience Jeff

Today it's nice to see that BrickPicker has achieved the milestone of hitting 100,000 registered users. Sure all of those members are not active, but regardless it's a nice achievement to hit, something Ed and I never would have thought would have hit years ago. New and better things are on the horizon, so stay tuned! Thank you for registering @lasloo!!!!!!!

Who else thinks this is a great idea? I know a lot of people use Brickpicker from their smart phones and something like this would be really helpful and awesome! Not like Jeff and Ed aren't doing enough already but just throwing an idea out there.

I would just like to make a quick post regarding the asking of us to change your username. We honestly get way too many of these. When you are registering for an online community, you have to realize that at some point your username will be public. There is actually bold red text on the registration form that says your username will be your public profile and no name changes will be made. We are also getting closer to the launch of Brick Classifieds and this is where it really becomes important. I have been building in a lot of security measures to help prevent fake accounts, multiple accounts, etc. We want people who are using the classifieds to feel that they know …

Hello, I've added nearly all of my investing sets into BrickFolio, a really nice feature. Can I confirm the prices used are 'sold' prices and not 'going rate' prices, and if these prices are calculated from worldwide sales or those just is the USA? As an active buyer, and one who is keen to be a value buyer, I'm finding a discrepancy between the prices on BrickFolio and the prices commonly asked – somewhere in the order of 25-35% usually, but can be as high as 200%. Don't get me wrong, I agree that 'sold' prices are a much more valuable tool for valuations that asking prices, but that would depend on if it was country-specific data collection. In general…

Ok, so many of you have noticed that there has been an update to the home page and content section. Overall I am happy that the transition has gone pretty good. Again, it's not something I wanted to do, but here are a few reasons why it needed to be done. Back in June is when we did the Forum upgrade. This I am happy about. The forum has been great and much better than what was there before. When we did this upgrade, I felt it would be good to utilize the tools that came with it and keep the system for the most part unified. The blog area did its job but it's actually a negative for the site. Overall its horrific for SEO (search engine optimization). This site …

this is very minor.... i know you have "view new content" in non-forum (thread) pages like profiles. hi jeff, hope things are going well. let's say, i'm viewing all the recent threads on any device / browser combo. URL = http://community.brickpicker.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums When I click on the "view new content" link again, a new page loads and it reads, "Sorry, no new content found." URL = http://community.brickpicker.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20forums - i then need to …

The Brickpicker Trade forum has been re-opened. One of the things we were waiting for was the feedback app to become available again. I was able to install it a few days ago. This forum is for trades only. Any type of selling needs to be done on Brick Classifieds. All new trade listings will need to be approved. A trade is basically a post that says "I have a Ecto-1 and looking for a Research Institute" (generally something like that). You have something and want something in return. I highly recommend posting photos of the item you have to trade to show people what it is that you have. It promotes safe trading and helps to answer questions about what you are off…

Ed and I want to create a page here in the forum (or somewhere) that will allow anyone who has an eBay and/or Amazon store to create a banner ad and advertise their store during the holiday season. Just PM me with a 728x90 banner and any small message about possible deals that you might be offering. Also make sure you include a link to your store and store name if there is one. If you want to include your Brickpicker name, let me know, otherwise I will keep it anonymous. This can be a good way for you to bring some new life to your store and get your holiday season sales off to a good start.

I saw on the main page there is about 90$ million worth in peoples brickfolios. With 5,000 members, that is about $18,000 per member....Seems a little high..Or maybe I need to step it up!

All, I am sure that I am missing something obvious, but I am trying to post a build/review of the 10221 with embedded pictures and I cannot seem to find the toolbar on the "Posting a new topic" page. I am not on the mobile webpage and I know I have done it before, but for some reason it only gives me an option to attached files and not embed them with the text of my post. What am I missing?

I think it's time to find another site... Models are missing - like the 10252 VW Beetle, the submit a comment is missing on some pages, or can't be filled out... No one EVER replies to comments.

For those of you that use the Stock Tracker Alerts system, I would like to ask if you can try out a feature I am working on for doing Browser Notifications. Right now this is for Chrome and Safari Browsers. Firefox is in beta and will be available in a few weeks. IE or whatever it is called will be after that. The alerts will show up even if you are not on the Brickpicker site. Please visit this link: https://www.brickpicker.com/brickwatcher/lego-stock-checker-roost-push-notifications.cfm If you are logged in you will be prompted to allow notifications, please make sure you hit the 'Allow' button. Please then go throu…

You may have noticed seeing a bunch of mini flags next to user names throughout the forum and wonder what that is about. In the previous version of the forum we did have a plugin that identified the location of where people are from. Overall I think this is good know since the LEGO situation is different in all parts world. Currency, discounts, inventory, special releases and just the overall buying and selling of LEGO is different. At least now you may have an idea that they may be talking from experience from 5,000 miles away from where you are. There is also an added benefit of finding people that are local to you to strike up a conversation. I kno…

Hello everyone. As you know there have been a ton of sets released throughout the years with just as many if not more reviews on each of them floating out there across the World Wide Web and keeping track is a difficult task to say the least. Therefore after much contemplation, I have started the first of what will soon be many of threads solely created as a resource to gather all these individual articles together into dedicated spots giving everybody quick & easy access to all of it. Please note these topics are locked strictly for the reason they are only meant to be a stockpile of quick links and not for open discussion. This is so nothing could potentially end u…
