Now that the Death Star is Retired in Europe, and Retiring Soon in the US, and Now Sold Out at every retailer. Everyone is wondering, how much difference there is in people's inventory compared to the poll in the MAIN death star topic. This topic is here JUST to compare inventory numbers, which may have shifted significantly from the old poll. Between the June 2015 panic and the now infamous RETIRING SOON turning into RETIRED in Europe and RETIRING SOON in the US it's possible brickpicker inventories may have increased quite a bit. However it's also possible many brickpickers that got in at 275-320 over the years sold during the $600 prices in June of 2015. Thi…

Hi all, I apologize if this is in the wrong place but I thought the best place to put it was in the Star Wars thread! I'm sure many of you recall back in 2013 the release of the exclusive "NY, I Heart" Yoda at Times Square in 2013. Originally limited to 1000 pieces, recently quite a few unbagged examples began appearing on eBay from one particular seller at a price somewhat below their typical resell value ($85USD). I ended up purchasing one and initially was frustrated as it appeared to have been a fairly good attempt at a knockoff. However, after contacting the seller, I discovered he purchased them directly from Lego. He claimed that they were seconds that never m…

I finished watching the entire Star Wars saga with my son and his favorite movie of them all is Episode 1 and he loved Jar Jar Binks! As far as I can tell the only set right now in print with Jar Jar is the gungan sub and it seems to almost be out of print? There are no new sets scheduled in 2014 that will have him either, correct? His next favorite film was episode 4 and he is very excited for the cantina coming out this summer as well as the more affordable star destroyer coming out as well and so am I lol Anyhow, I just wanted to get everyone's thought on this... I'm thinking that the more affordable approach would be to just ord…

I recently purchased this set on eBay. I am not sure whether it is new or used. The box is opened, but the bags are remained sealed. New or used?

Strange, I didn't see any topic about this set in the historic files of the Star Wars forum. Pretty cool looking set. Last night some lady put a brand new sealed box 8039 up for sale on a local selling site in Wheat Ridge, CO. She said "Paid $120. Asking $60". Some lucky SOB (son-ofa-brickpicker) snagged $400 worth of bricks this morning. Why do I not live in Wheat Ridge, CO, why ............ I just had to get that out of my system....

In the spirit of the other computer generated series such as The Yoda Chronicles and The Padawan Menace, here is the first based around the recent The Force Awakens with "Poe to the Rescue". It was just uploaded to the Star Wars channel a couple days ago.

Here is where the Maz Kanata minifigure came from apparently. Interesting seeing a Star Wars set with a couple play features reminiscent of Minecraft and that hanging banner looks like an uncooked slab of bacon. Haha.

Cant find a topic dedicated to this set already (forgive me if I'm doubling up). Just checked out the prices on ebay for this one and WOW. In the UK this was pretty much permanently on offer (2 for £30 was the worst). NIB it looks like around £40 (and £25 to £30 used). This was a set I really liked (who doesn't want a Grevious mini fig) but given how available it was, constantly on offer I stayed away (thinking too much supply and no demand). Someone loading up on this last year instead of a couple of Tumblers say. Maybe everyone else was more clued up but this has hidden gem status for me (hats off to @Yellowtot). Ok I get the grevious fig makes it desirabl…

I was wondering whether as the first three episodes (well maybe not episode III but definitely the first two), are often regarded as not particularly great films in the series, whether there is much value down the line in buying kits from these films? I don't recall there being many iconic characters-mini figs from these movies for example. The reason for my post, I saw the Bounty Ship 7930 and like the look of it (it's £65.00 on Amazon), but with fairly unremarkable mini figs would this be a kit to buy on the basis that it's already at its highest second hand resale value?

This set has been sold out a while at shop at home and all retailers and seems to have gone under the radar with under 100 sellers on amazon and only 58 for sale on ebay. It's already selling for $73 prime amazon and $55 on ebay . My average buy-in is $24 and normally I'd start thinking about selling at 2.5-3X the buy in but given the relative rapid response, getting greedy & thinking about waiting a little. Still, I could see a Snowspeeder being included with a rumored Hoth base more than seeing an AT-AT. probably will sell a few now.

A blurry image (of course) for the exclusive set to be given at this year's Star Wars Celebration event next weekend in Anaheim. It appears to have a little diorama of Luke's home on Tatooine, a (loosely) Microfighters-esque sandcrawler, C-3PO (I would guess the one from the UCS Sandcrawler), and a micro landspeeder with some characters. I recently posted in the "What LEGO set did you build today?" thread about building the Chibi Landspeeder set. Since I was asked about Bricklinking it, and finding the instructions took a few minutes, I thought I'd throw up a post about it. Instructions can be found here from Brickset (PDF). The Bricklink parts list is here. Other than two parts, everything is very common and not particular expensive to get ahold of. There are two parts that are rarer and a little more expensive if you want to put this set together: Luke Skywalker is unique to this set: There is only one US vendor selling at this time, at $25.00. Oth…

Hey guys, I don't see a post yet for this polybag set. It's not coming up either if you want to add it to your brickfolio. What do you all think of this polybag? I think it's really sweet looking and might be a nice little investment. How can you go wrong with an X-Wing?

It released I think in 2007. I was on a break from Legos then and missed it. We are getting an update of Obi won's Jedi star fighter(75135) this year without the boost and got Anakin's(75038) the last couple years without the boost. Why hey are they not doing the hyperdrive boost again? Did it not sell well? It seems to command a good price in the aftermarket.
