I have been considering selling my Greedo minifigure from set 4501. His value after fees will probably be around 20 bucks on a good day. I will most likely never let or put this figure into play for it's value and I consider selling it in favor of getting more sets that will be enjoyed on a greater scale. A person can get a lot of nice sets for 20.00 at MSRP or on sale even. Anyone else ever have similar thoughts.

  4. Hi I require someone who can be a middle man for me in some UK e-bay deals I would like to purchase. The e-bay sellers do not want to ship to South Africa, for their own personal reasons. I just want to be able to buy some Lego items from e-bay UK and then have them shipped to someone in the UK who will then ship them to me. I will cover all costs. We can do payment via Paypal. If you are keen to assist me then please contact me. I have my eyes on a couple of sets that only have 2 days left for auction. Thanks in advance.

  5. I am shipping both a used Passenger Plane (7893) and separately a B-Wing (6208) and need a box large enough to put the manual in flat. The medium/large flat rate boxes at USPS are no good, because the parts don't weigh enough to justify it, but the many small boxes I have at home aren't wide enough to put the manual in. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

Going through a bulk lot I came across this little gem. For those that don't know, it's a 25th Anniversary chrome brick from this freestyle bucket #3027 from 1998 http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=3027-1 I had it as a child (well still do if I ever get back home to retrieve all my LEGO). Many a castle garrison fought to the last man to defend this valuable brick. Quite a few spaceships used it at the heart of their reactor. And many a desperate pirate tried to escape from the colonies with it. This just brought so many joyous memories to life and reminded me why LEGO is so amazing. The creative spark that a single 2x4 brick ca…

I have been investing most of the legos in various themes with Star Wars being about 30% and the largest in my inventory. Now, With $2000 to invest. Would it be better to invest in modular s (fire brigade, town hall, grand emporium etc.) or other themes as hobbit, more star wars, Super heroes and LOTR or other themes. Just looking for about a year worth to recoup or max 2 years.

I was recently at a Walmart where Helm's Deep was discounted at $90. They had about 4 sets there and would have picked up a couple of these, but all the boxes were beat! Is this a deterrent for any of you if you plan on keeping a set for investment purposes?

Sold a Helms Deep locally to a lady last week, she mentioned she has a young son looking for it...I added one of those cheap Galaxy polybag from last year as a freebie. Different theme I know but the buyer was very appreciative with the gesture. Made decent enough margin already on the flip so might as well. And today, made a package deal on local ad, $200 cash for: $200 Indigo gift card (verified), Getaway Glider, Melting Room and Cloud Cuckoo Palace. Nice deal already I thought. The seller threw in 2 Lego Movie polybags as bonus Guess I mentioned my 4yr old son and she was being extra nice. My son was happy. Told him the 3 sets are gifts for his cousins …

I wanted to let everyone know that I was at Costco today and picked up some of the ziplock storage vac bags on sale. These bags were talked about in a recent storage forum post, and I compared the price to other online sources. It is the 15 bags assorted pack and it was $15 after instant manufacturer rebate. The sale ends June 2. Also I was at wal mart recently and they are doing inventory and an employee told me that today and the next couple days is a good time to look for new clearance items.

Hey y'all, quick scenario question. Got a box today with seals popped (but fully intact and able to be pressed back down) on 1 side. Seems to have all the bags, and weighs in right. You keeping or you exchanging? It's kind of a pain to exchange... Thanks! TNB

Hi, I am not new to LEGO, but new to looking into buying LEGO at a better price. I found this site a few days ago and finally registered today. This is a really cool site with a ton of information, everywhere I look seems to be good stuff read and there seems to be a lot of knowledgable people on here. I started doing searches for lego price guide and this site pops up a lot, it looks like the best place to be for this type of information, and I also heard about bricklink's but I can't stand that site. I also found brickwars-sets.com as a lego star wars guide. Here I learned that the owners license the data from ebay and put all the data together. That makes s…

Hello All - i tried to search this, but did not come up with anything.... i recently bought instructions off ebay for a modular building, and it includes the instructions, as well as parts inventory. - it then, in another file comes with a coded computer list to get all the parts with the fewest and cheapest sellers as possible. i was wondering how this is done? - is another site besides brick link i should be using? Thanks!

If you've been to any Disney parks you know what these are. I'm just wondering if any one else collects these? since this is a collecting site. I have 132 of them and got lucky and have the most expensive one, park #1 chaser, it sells for around $500.

My job sends me across the pond to the UK to work with some companies we purchased a little while back. Its always fun to see how things are done in different countries. Well, luckily this year I got come over during the Olympics and got to see some of the excitement it has brought to the city. I am especially lucky that I was able to come here and finally experience Argos for the first time and grabbed a bunch of Olympic Minifigs for me and Ed. Hopefully I got enough that will allow us to get two full sets or I may have to request to comeback and finish some "work" here

This will be my first may the fourth 'celebration.' So, what exactly is it? Does the Lego store do any kind of sale or special promotion? If it's just the release of the disappointing x-wing and a lame han solo minifig, i'll probably stay home.

I've followed the recent thread about what should be on one's wish list, but I have a slightly different question. What is the best way or ways to keep a wish list and how have you gone about creating it? It's easy to make a note of sets I would like to buy for investment purposes, but that seems a little disorganized to me. I'm assuming you go by year it hit the shelves and the EOL predictions so you aren't stocking up on Lone Ranger when Fire Brigade may be EOL soon. But is there a good process you can recommend to start and maintain a wish list? Also, there is so much information here and deals that are posted everyday, it becomes hard to know what to focus o…

  22. Ok so I am stuck with a decision to make. Helms Deep from someone NSIB for 170 (CDN - note CDN retail was 169+13percent tax) or Jabbas Palace at retail 149 (could wait to see if this goes on sale) but lets try and compare like prices for 2 sets that are either retired or seemingly very close.

  23. This summer, I decided to light up my LEGO 10350 Tudor Corner using the Bright My Bricks lighting kit, and the results are stunning. My wife, always supportive of my LEGO obsession, gifted me this kit to enhance this set that I love. Bright My Bricks offers two generations of kits, featuring ultra-thin, flexible, and discreet wires that fit perfectly under the bricks of the Tudor Corner. The online instructions are top-notch—clear and detailed—which made installation easy even with such a detailed building. I was able to light up all the windows, street lamps, and signs, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for enjoying those long summer evenings. …

Greetings all, I have been looking for a while online for a value of a limited edition original MIB Star Wars UCS Star Destroyer (#10030) that came with the UCS Tantive IV Blockade Runner (#10198). It was purchased at a Star Wars Exhibition in Sydney, Australia. It is in the original brown cardboard box from LEGO. Can anyone be of assistance?
