I can't seem to find it if there is one. Should really have it's own section here on the forums. I did look for a suggestion section alas that is also missing. Perhaps I'm just not looking hard enough. Regards Alpha.

Hey Everybody, Up until now, I have always heard about good clearance prices, but never actually found any. Today I went to my local Target to look for the new Batman sets. Naturally they were out of them. This particular Target is disappointing about 95% of the time. I hung my head and started to leave the LEGO aisle, when I noticed a clearance sign below the SpongeBob sets. ***Disclaimer - This will not be very exciting for most.*** They had five of the 3817 Frying Dutchman sets left, and they were on clearance for $9.98 each! That is pretty darn good for a set that retails for $24.99. I bought three of them, one for my kids, two to sit on. So the point of…

I am a huge Star Trek fan! I just think whoever that runs Star Trek, whether it is paramount or someone else, is really missing out for not letting them team up with Lego. Oh my God, can you imagine the possibilities? What amazing sets they could have! The Ships, Deep Space 9, Borg, etc.... It could just go on and on and on, just like Star Wars. I know Star Wars has more of a geek following but I truly think Star Trek could be a BIG hit with Lego. I sure hope I can see this sometime in my lifetime.

I am sure there are some collectors in the same boat as myself. I want sets, but I don't have an interest in the box and the instructions to build can be found on the internet easily these days, I just want the contents. If I can cut down on shipping costs even a little in this process I'm all for it. I use that as a way of discouraging any potential reselling of sets also since most resellers want sets in a mint condition sealed box. I can get sets cheap on occassion based on a variety of factors in my area, I would be happy to unbox and ship them out at cost + shipping and associated paypal fees. I would be willing to do this for other collectors that offer the sam…

  5. Supposedly the "Collector's Guide" which is sold out on S&**** shows the "rarity" of each set and that rating takes into account the secondary market on ebay and other sites. This would be good info to have, maybe here in the forum or on the price guide pages. Does anyone know about this?

I am in the process of buying a used lot. NO Boxes. But have manuals and are 100% complete. What would be the most you would pay if you want to part out and resell or to just keep. As reselling without boxes are not worth it IMO. 8. Here are a few sets that are getting to that age where they should start(are already have to some extent) taking off. I tend to stick to larger sets, so these piqued my interest. 10177-787 Dreamliner 10174-UCS AT/ST 10175-UCS Vader's TIE 10187-VW Bug 10186-UCS General Grievous 10198-Tantive IV Some of these are starting to trend up, but not sure if it's just the holidays, or they are really starting to see their burst, and I would like to get in now. Some, like 10175,10177, 10187 have already gotten pricey, and not sure how much above that $300-400 pricepoint they will actually rise. Which, if you had to choose, would be the sets(s) that you would go afte…

Hi guys, I've recently started collecting lego minifgures from the starwar lines and got a batch of lego off from ebay but was wondering if it was authentic. From what I've read there would be the Lego logo printed on each piece if it was authentic. However, i cant there was a © where the Lego logo should be. As for the legs there's only one lego symbol between the two studs at the top. Can someone kindly tell me if this is normal or is my minifigure knock off? The minifgure im referring to is the Lego Clone Gunner from an older series of starwars battle pack. Appreciate any help and thanks in advance!

  10. Hey ya'll, I have the opportunity to buy 6393 and 951 both sealed. I don't truly know what the value of either is. There were no sealed 951's for sale on the internet that I could find, and the only 6393 that was sealed on bricklink was in pristine condition and going for 3,000 USD. Have any of you seen them sell anywhere in the past? Quite interested in these sets but don't really know how to price them. (The Brickpicker values are not correct at all). Thanks

Anyone use this? Is it safe for a buyer? I was looking to make a purchase over at bricklink and noticed the seller only takes google wallet and Westion Union transfer. The store just opened on the 4th too. Does google offer the same type of protection as paypal?

I see they used them on all the LEGO listings. Great job and hope it helps!

Got a Funhouse escape from TRU in the mail today and it felt lighter than the other ones I received. Opened it up and sure enough, pieces missing and they even took the "comic book"! . Couple questions, 1. How do you check to make sure you haven't bough a set that's been tampered with? Weigh it, feel....? 2. When selling sets, do you usually open the sets and have pictures of the sealed bags or sell it sealed? 3. How do you deal with buyers that claim parts were missing?

I'm going to Japan for 7 days to film a documentary. Any lego sets that I can pick up there that would be a nice profit here in the states?

  17. For myself it was back in 2007 when I was at a Target looking at the sets that were currently out. I saw a SW Y-Wing and B-Wing on the shelf and I decided to pick them up since I had an X-Wing. After I got them home and built I decided to complete the Battle of Endor Hangar scene before Han and the other's left in the shuttle Tyderium. So I went on Ebay to see what the cost would be to fill out the rest of the scene. I noticed then that the A-Wing was selling for around 20.00 a piece used and out of box. When I went and looked up the falcon I was floored at how much a used copy of the ship cost (though I did get it for 100 later on that year) and how much a new in bo…

Maybe $50 and to someone who cared about it. But anyone who cared would have kept their box originally, or bought one with a box.

Anybody else wonder why some of the mini sets, especially the Star Wars mini building sets, drastically change prices from month to month? Sometimes they go way up in value, then a month later, they lose more than half their value.......then, they go back up. Any ideas why they fluctuate so much?

I just joined Brick Picker and I am really glad I found this site. I have been collecting Lego for a really long time. When I get a new lego set I open it up build and put it on my shelf. I don't really play with lego. I really like lego but I mostly display, not play with it. As I was adding sets to my brickfolio I noticed that if I say that they are used the value on my sets go down. All my Lego sets are in right out of the box condition. Would my sets be considered New or Used?

I know this may sound blasphemous, but i have been picking up a few off brand sets when they are dirt cheap on clearance. i have a few transformers licensed sets, and a few battleships from the named movie. right now they are going for msrp online and was wondering if anyone had considered making up a site like this for other brands, or perhaps adding other brands to this site? I cant help but think that they will increase in value and you cant tell me that a foot tall optimus prime that turns back into a semi isnt just a darn good toy. after all i saw that set featured as a top holiday gift in a few magazines in november

Just wondering... I was sorting through a lot of Legos, Mega Blocks, and other clones, and I found a couple pieces that either are made by Lego, and I am just wondering what set they might be from, and some, I am not sure if they are made buy Lego or another company. Any help would be help a lot! Thanks!
