  3. A blurry image (of course) for the exclusive set to be given at this year's Star Wars Celebration event next weekend in Anaheim. It appears to have a little diorama of Luke's home on Tatooine, a (loosely) Microfighters-esque sandcrawler, C-3PO (I would guess the one from the UCS Sandcrawler), and a micro landspeeder with some characters. 4. We can store all posts related to this set here. It currently looks like # produced is between 2,500 and 4,000. From Lego... To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Star Wars saga, Star Wars Celebration attendees will have the chance to enter a raffle to purchase a special-edition LEGO Star Wars set inspired by the Detention Block AA-23 from the original 1977 film! A Star Wars Celebration exclusive, the set includes Luke Skywalker and Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguises ready to infiltrate the Death Star and rescue Princess Leia. There is no data on here for new/used selling price, and I couldn't really find anything on eBay... what's the deal with this set? A sealed bag, but open box version came into work and I really have no idea what I'm looking at value wise.

Is there a significant difference in the investing potetial of Clone Wars sets and the Original Star Wars movie sets? I would think that there would be more people interested in the original stuff, but the Clone Wars stuff is also hugely popular.

  9. Not sure if anyone has talked about this one but there is a limited edition Anakin and two other mini figs available from Amazon for $30. Seems pretty rare and only a few recent sales on eBay. Thinking about buying a couple - any thoughts on the investment potential for this 3 minifigure set?

  10. I recently posted in the "What LEGO set did you build today?" thread about building the Chibi Landspeeder set. Since I was asked about Bricklinking it, and finding the instructions took a few minutes, I thought I'd throw up a post about it. Instructions can be found here from Brickset (PDF). The Bricklink parts list is here. Other than two parts, everything is very common and not particular expensive to get ahold of. There are two parts that are rarer and a little more expensive if you want to put this set together: Luke Skywalker is unique to this set: There is only one US vendor selling at this time, at $25.00. If you like custom Star Wars sets, here's a cool one from Huey Toys, a custom Republic Dropship. I don't know if it has any resale value, but it was well done and goes well with the Republic Gunship(set 7676). I bought one and the shipping was first rate and the pieces were all new. Great custom Lego seller! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-LEGO-Star-Wars-Clone-Dropship-Minifigure-NEW-/230733525764?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b8ca3304

A new poll ONLY for those who tried to buy one on release. If you did not try to buy it 1st day, please don´t vote. Perhaps a mod could merge it with the 75192 thread, in place of the older poll about intention to buy, which is now redundant due to supply issues.

So now that Disney has taken over Star Wars Lego, we have seen their start up line of new sets. There are many people talking about overpricing, and the speculation of resurrecting some old sets example: is the Naboo Starfighter a sign of Disney bringing back old retired sets? They definitely have the ability to flood the market and make any new or old sets at any time they want, and for as long or short as they choose. Disney has the resources to overproduce, this could hurt the new sets for collecting, investing, and re-selling. Disney will not care about helping anyone but themselves and making money off the fans & children any way possible. It surely could add val…

  21. Just read in Fox news that Disney plans to release a new Star Wars movie every summer starting with episode 7 in 2015. Every other year they'll release a spin off movie in order to revitalize the franchise. Any thoughts to how this will effect Lego?

Just though that if somebody has Star Wars ships on display, it might be kinda neat to have blueprint posters hanging behind them. There is this set of books - ISBN 0756699894, which includes a set of posters. I believe these ones are from there: This is interesting as well, though I am not sure from which book exactly it is.
