I have to order online to get any kind of variety. I ordered a small Iron Man 76008 on Site to Store. It took a few days to get it here, as they shipped it from Bentonville Arkansas. When the Jabba fiasco started, I was skeptical that this was really the end, but I went up to a local Walmart and bought 4 just in case. When it ended, I returned 3 of them and kept the last one to build. About a week ago, I found one on Ebay for way less than retail, so I purchased it. I live in a very rural area in Mississippi. I have one Wal-Mart that has 1/2 isle of Lego shelved. I pick it over regularly looking for deals but usually have very little luck at all. Well, recently, I was digging through the messed up shelves and found one Hulk's Helicopter Breakout 6868 with a clearance sticker. (Now you have to remember that my Wal-Mart does not have a clearance section for Toys. They have a rather small toy dept. ). Well, the sticker said $35.00 marked down from $49.97 but was ringing up regular price. So I had the manager double check and he said they had to sell it to me for this price. My local walmart has both of these sets on sale for 17.00. I have yet to see Superman vs. Lex Power Armor set for less than $18 (and never on clearance yet). Black Zero Escape is still a new set and I'm sure that the 17.00 price is the lowest its been as of yet. I'll check some of the other local walmarts soon and see id this an isolated thing or nationwide.

Walked into a Walmart that I don't usually make it to often about a month ago and on the bottom rack of the lego Isle there were (5) 6868 and the white and yellow sticker said "$15." They scanned for $15 so I bought them all. Fast forward to tonight I decided to drive out of my way to visit this Walmart again. Two more 6868 in the same spot, still marked $15. Along with two of Olivia's Desk tucked away, I found a number of stock for Ice Cream Stand (30106) and Summer Picnic (30108), both of which were previously only available at Target for a short (and seasonal) timeframe. I found all three actually there with all the other Friends sets in 'the pink aisle'. If not there, then perhaps the clearance aisle or checkouts. It varies from store to store.

I finally found some polybags at my Wal-Mart again and, like last time, found some good ones! Gandalf at Dul Guldur (30213) (previously at Toys R Us) Batmobile (30161) (previously at Target) Razcal's Double Crosser (30254) Z-95 Headhunter (30240) No idea how long these will be around for. In fact, a friend of mine at Wal-Mart said that they won't be getting anymore of them, which means when the current stock is gone that's it! Again, Brickset states that each one was supposed to be available at Wal-Mart in February. Don't you just love their distribution system?

Lego set 9463 - The Werewolf is 35% off at Walmart.com. I don't know if anyone has listed this on here yet, but I wanted to give a heads up. I've seen a lot of people posting about how the Monster Fighter sets should do well in the future. I bought two. : ) These will be my second and third investment purchases. May be posted elsewhere but I didn't find it. I have been to 6 WMs within a 60 mile radius and have noticed that each one is very different in how they clearance Legos. Talked to a toy manager today at my local WM and here's the details. Corporate office tells all branches to clearance specific items initially (almost always) 20%. Then the store manager gets so much clearance dollars per store at the first of every month to allocate as he/she pleases to each department. It varies but usually the toy manager takes over from there and further discounts clearance items but sometimes the store manager likes to micro-manage and they select the items themselves. Cleared their entire clearance wall... Kids were eying my cart like as if I was the LEGO Santa Claus. You guys should check your Walmarts if maybe you can get the same deals. Now, I can easily triple/quadruple my money, but should I wait until they go EOL? How many years have they been out?

So a week or so ago, I got onto Wal-Mart's site when they had the LOTR/ Hobbit bundle back when it saved you money and put 4 attack of the wargs and 4 attack on weathertop sets in my cart but never checked out because I hadn't talked it over with my spouse. Two days later, I got on again and found that the deal had changed to the sucky one we all saw later, you basically save a few cents if that. I just saw that this set finally went on sale again. I picked up one at this price. I think this is the lowest I have seen it. Unfortunately, tax and shipping (my local store is around a 20min drive) doesn't make this a smoking deal.
