Who all has ever found Legos at the thrift store? Yesterday I just found the 8730 in the box with all the pieces, except for two of the ball things, it had the instructions and was in pretty good condition for 5 bucks! Anybody?

I haven't bought a LEGO set in while but I'll probably be buying two or three a month.

This is where you talk about your Zombie happenings in Lego! A Zombie Horde has recently invaded my Lego City, so the Miliitary had to come in, and save the Mayor and Chief of Police. What about you? Also pictures are enjoyed, and suggestions are fine, and questions and requests are good too! Attached below is a picture of the rather small Zombie Horde attacking the Military.

I used to take my sets apart and rebuild them all the time, but now, I never take my new sets apart because I worry about piece damage, at least, not yet... :roll:

Tonight at the Lego store the clerk swiped my VIP card and then goes "huh? I never seen that before!" yeah, my account showed a negative points balance. After a call to customer service, turns out my card was "out of sync." Lego will mail me a new card with what they say is the appropriate balance. But i don't know if they're right. Moral is, keep track of your VIP points.

Mine is definitely the Trains. I just got a killer deal on a Hogwarts Express and I kept telling myself "ok, going to sell this. profit. $$$$. profit.. wooohoooz"..... .....only to have me not able to part with it. Anybody else have this? This is assuming you can't get buy multiples of this set though... :)

Long story short, I've bought about 75lbs of loose mixed LEGO from a local thrift. I've began sorting out the minifigs and any unique pieces and bricks so I can discern what sets may be in there but it is slow going. I also purchased a box from the same thrift last fall that appears to be a complete Hogwart's with a couple smaller sets mixed in. So far I have found: -Tie Fighter canopy -red "cow catcher" from a train -couple large flat wall mount skulls -the front and rear of a orange/ white jet liner -three small row boats -snap together tank like tracks My question: is it worth it to pull a full set out and sell it or better to sell the whole thing as a …

Finally I was granted permission to buy and build a set. I have some limitations as I don't have a large space where to put this set once it's built. Also I must not exceed 150

I know a lot of people are into Legos for the the money, but what Legos if had no investment purposes? Would you still buy them?

What are the best tools to make a custom face on a minifigure? Also goes for torsos. Is there a website that does anime faces on the heads?

Let me open by saying that this is not really about investing, so I'll save your time if that is what you clicked for! I was just reminded of these the other day after thinking about how many game tracks I've been posting. Some years ago I came across artwork done by this incredibly talented pixel artist named Paul Robertson. You may have seen his work in the video game for "Scott Pilgrim vs the World". Well before that and the upcoming "Mercenary Kings" indie games project, he did sprite animated clips like these amongst other pixelated works of art.
