I am looking to get back into stop motion animation and wanted a nice software for it. I have already seen dragon frame, but it seemed on the expensive side and a bit to much for what I needed. I would just like a software that will convert a bunch of images into a movie so that I can add sound, export it, and make it go viral. Thanks in advance!

Can someone please explain this? I've read abot it in a lot of Lego books being the nerd that I am, but still don't understand it. I think it's supposed to be about learning to express your emotions and feelings through Lego, and learn to work as a team or something. All of the 'sets' just look like Bucket of Bricks on steroids. In the books I've read, it shows adults sitting around discussing what their creations mean and how their feelings or personality affected it. You may disagree, but it looks pretty dumb to me.

Received my first ever shipment from yoyo.com today. This is the box that arrived, pretty sizeable. What could be in it? Perhaps a couple Jabba's Sail Barges? Dolphin Cruisers? Lots of packing material, that's a good sign. Nope, just a few baseplates. I just thought it was kind of comical and wanted to share. I ordered a handful of these baseplates over the weekend and was surprised to see a 3 foot wide box sitting on my porch when I got home from work yesterday. Better to be overpackaged than the other way around. I think we can safely assume you won't be getting any pancakes from yoyo!

Hello great people! Who is all going to this weeks awesome event? Unfortunately, I can only make Sunday and plan on checking out all the booths and spending cash on all the goodies! I remember last year it was crazy and plenty of collectibles being sold by great vendors. Anyone going or selling this weekend?

  8. An article about Legos in this week's New York Times Style Magazine: http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/04/08/by-design-the-shape-of-things/ Enjoy! Some of my favorite quotes from the article (boldface mine): This summer, the author and artist Douglas Coupland will have an exhibition in Vancouver that will feature a suburb of 100 identical Lego houses, each one made from a 1969 kit that, he says,

Hi! I'm a mom of three small boys, soon to be four and all of my kids love Legos! I've really been struggling with how to sort the Legos into their sets so that they can pull out the boxes one at a time and build from the booklets without having to dig through a huge tub to find the small pieces. I finally solved my problem! I got this box at Michaels and it works perfectly for sorting the small sets. And the boys actually keep them separate too. We still have a box of regular bricks so they can build creatively, but I love this as my kids will sit and build one set from the instruction booklets. The case was originally $40, but this week it's on sale for $20. …

Just received delivery of a DS 10188, my first set. While inspecting the box, I noticed two things on the inner box that came with my set (the one that has LEGO's brand and the words TOY repeated all over the top). First it says "Death Star v140". As a programmer, I'd say that means this is the 140th version of the Death Star? Secondly, the label also stated the manufacturing date, which from 1403 means March, 2014. This is just extra info, but I'm not sure if it gives any hints. Mods, I'd appreciate if you would kindly merge this to the appropriate thread if it has already been discussed before. Thanks!

For all you Game of Thrones fans, citizen brick has just released a new set of custom minifigs based on the series. Check them out here: http://citizenbrick.com/collections/minifigs/products/dragon-sword-fighter-force-complete-series-plus-bonus-minifig Pretty awesomely detailed (as usual from these guys). My favs would be the White Walker, Tyrion, and Khal Drogo. I'm very tempted to get them, but $220 is a bit much for me to outlay at present on personal purchases. Sweet GRRM bonus fig as well.
