Hello Everyone, I'm new to the whole Lego collecting scene, but I've been a collector of various items through my life (hockey cards, transformers, playing cards, anime figures, vinyl toys etc.). I've started to become more intrigued with the idea of collecting Lego when I saw how much sets like the Star Wars UCS 10179 Millennium Falcon and the Modular Building 10182 Cafe Corner were going for! I can definitely see the viability and future growth of Lego investment, as long as they bring out great collectible sets like the Star Wars UCS and ensure that discontinued sets, STAY discountinued. This site is a great resource of information and I definitely look forward…

Like most of you I guess I could be considered an AFOL. At the age of 67 I first discovered Lego in July, 2011. Since then I have become quite addicted to my new hobby. As of this October, I own 32 complete sets that I know of including 15 brand new sets that I have yet to open. My primary passion is acquiring "used" Lego and exploring the "find" to create original sets by first determining what I have acquired and then hunting down the missing pieces to complete a set or sets including acquiring the instructions for each set and when possible finding an original box. So far I have yet to actually build anything except for the 8674-1 - Ferrari F1 Racer 1:8. After my ac…

Hi. My name is Paul. Thanks awfully to the Brick Picker team this is an brilliant resource. After spending many hours scratching my head trying to catalogue my lego collection in Excel. I hate formula's, I discovered the beautiful Brickfolio. The only problem I can see is I'm from the UK and use GBP. as my currency. I suppose I could convert what I paid for my Lego sets into US$, but was wondering if I am missing a tool to do this for me, or if there will soon be a tool available. Thanks Again Paul.

If you are also from Windsor, Ontario, then we'll be competing for some of the same sets I did take advantage of TRU Bricktober last Friday because you get 100 bonus airlmiles for spending $100, plus the Vintage Minifig 3 pack and a Halloween bag. Creator sets were on sale so I got the Apple Tree House - I'm hoping they will be EOL soon, and nothing else caught my eye except for a City Public Transport set from 2010 - it has already started showing monthly gains and I expect them to continue to make a nice gain, if not a huge one. Unfortunately of the three remaining sets they had, only one had a decent, untampered with box.

Greetings All, I discovered this site from the Beyond the Brick podcast. I re-discovered my own lego about 2 years ago when i moved into a bigger house. I thought I would have a go a rebuilding the 'castle' that I built when I was a teenager. It used to take me a day... 11 months later I completed it. It looked rubbish. But I said to myself, 'aha, I have a job now I can afford to buy the bricks that are the right color etc.... Onto Ebay and a

Hi, I found this site a few weeks ago and I am finally getting around to introducing myself. I am a 29 year old male that has just got back into Lego play/collecting. I enjoy building the new sets I have missed out on in the past 10 years or so. Happy building and good luck in your searching for what you want.

Until I bought lego for them, I notice they love that so much , so I start buying legt in this 2 years. Most of them are Ninjgo series. You know, they are expand a lots of money if you keep buying this and that and I also notice some of the lego price keep going up. So I start thinking if I can do some investment on that. I check the internet for the inoformation and find this website is so helpful. What will be my first invetment lego ? I am not sure and still looking. I am thinking 1…

Hello to everybody collecting LEGO, I've joined the website and started collecting Lego about a month ago. It's very enjoyable and addictive! Now I regret that I got rid of some of my 80's LEGO when I was a teenager. I bet they would be worth a lot now... Need to go to see the LEGO Discovery Centre in Manchester with my son, I heard it was a great place Marek

Just joined up this week. I didn't even think a site like this existed until I stumbled across it looking for the MSRP of Lego sets. Glad to see I am not alone in the thought of making Lego sets an investment as well as a hobby.

  13. I have a very long story as to how I got (back) into LEGO collecting a few months ago, but it is not all that interesting, so I will tell the short version. It pretty much was the result of a trip to the LEGO store at the Mall of America when I took my kids to the park there, and we went in search of LEGO Indiana Jones figures. To my dismay, the sets were long since discontinued, so I had to resort to the secondary market. Needless to say, I was blown away by how the prices and values of LEGOs skyrocket in such a short time. I was also very excited to see all the cool themes that were available, so I instantly picked up where I left off 20 years ago and bought some …

Hello all, I'm an all around lego newbie who got inspired from the architecture sets and I haven't been able to stop from there. I'm in the southern California area and think investing in lego's can be a great idea. Anywhere know where to get me started as my lego knowledge is extremely novice? I've been looking all around the site and have been educating myself slowly. Thanks! SFlego86

Hi, my name is Kenneth, and I am from Taiwan. Had been playing with Lego since I was a little kid, but like many AFOL, went through a LONG period of Dark Age. My first adulthood encounter with Lego was about 10 years ago, when I was working in China. I saw the 7181 and 7191 sets in a Hong Kong Toys R Us store, and just had to get them simply because that was most awesome Lego I had seen.... ( and being a Star Wars fan also helped....) Not knowing the potential value I was getting, I tore up the boxes and threw them away right outside the store so I can travel easier.... Another 10 years passed by, various job changes, moved back to US, then back to Chin…

Hi, my name is David and I'm from Spain. I started to collect LEGO many years ago, I loved play with them as a kid and I kept interested in them when I grew up. Sadly, when I was a kid i wasn't aware of what I had in my hands and most of the boxes and manuals went to the trash, and I didn't keep the older sets mounted. However, I started to classify the pieces I had, separating by shape, size, type, etc. I never known anybody who likes LEGO like me, so I never share my collection and hobby with other people. Now, for space and economic causes, I'm planning to part with my collection. I think maybe this website and you could help me to value and know how to sell …

Hi everyone, I have been browsing this site for a few weeks already and I find it very useful and informative. I collect Lego sets for fun, investment and some MOC building. I own mostly Creator, Ninjago, Monster Fighters and Hero factory Sets. My favorite set is the Maersk Train (10219), I was lucky enough to get it for my 39th birthday!

Hi all, I'm Guohong, Lego collector from Singapore, mainly collecting modulars and city sets, and just about any set that catches my attention. First started collecting Lego as a 9 year old kid, went through the dark ages and returned to the hobby when Cafe Corner was released. Was discussing with a couple of friends how Lego makes very good investment returns, having seen the prices of Cafe Corner and Market Street skyrocket, and this website just confirmed my thinking! Kudos to Jeff and Ed for all the detailed articles and all the trends of the sets, marvellous job! Hope to be able to learn more about Lego trends and just enjoy the discussion among fellow Lego co…

Hello everyone, I'm Brian, in my 20's, and an avid LEGO collector from the great state of West Virginia. I have loved and collected LEGO for 17 years now and have an extensive collection. I received my first lego in '91, but really started collecting in '95. After a brief "Dark Age" in the early/mid 2000's, I returned. It seemed like TLG went through a "Dark Age"around the same time, as well. I have always collected City/Train sets, but do buy city like sets with vehicles or buildings that I can incorporate (i.e. Indy Jones, Adventurers, etc). I received my first lego in '91, but really started collecting in '95. I am a purist in the sense I do not break sets up for pa…

Hello, I am Steve from Nebraska and have been re-introduced to Lego after being in dark ages since probably 13 years old( a long time ago:) ) My son was 4 when he got a Pro Koon Starfighter and I couldn't believe that Lego now made Star Wars sets, I had no idea who the heck Plo Koon even was. Now we are amassing quite the inventory and while I have done well flipping Lego on Ebay from lots, I have just started to get into collecting new, sealed sets for investing, or possibly opening one day if I am so tempted. I am very excited about this site as I have always tried to keep my own database, but it was WAY too time consuming, to thank you guys for creating this. …

Hi, my name Allen and I'm currently living in San Diego. I'm the admin for The Brick Fan and I'm glad to see a site like BrickPicker to see the value of my sets. I had a few LEGO sets when I was a kid but went through two decades of the Dark Ages but got back into LEGO late last year. Ever since I gotten back into LEGO, I've built up a collection of Star Wars and Super Heroes sets as well as some odds and ends. I'm looking forward to see what other features BrickPicker will have in the future. Thanks Jeff and Ed for your hard work!

so, I am french. I am 38 years old, and as many members here, I guess, I am a Lego fan since my childhood. I have got two children and naturally they play with Lego, especially Lego Star Wars for my son, and Lego City and Fabuland for my daughter. Since many years, I buy for my private collection vintage lego from the sixties and seventies. Sometimes in the original box. As I appreciate all the last LEGO design, I am nostalgic of the simplicity of the first age of LEGO with the typical abstraction of details of the begins. My pleasure is also to buy very huge lot of mixed parts and trying to see if I am able to build from it any original s…

Hello from Memphis! I have got to say that I love this site! I actually stumbled across it as I was trying categorize my LEGO sets manually with a spreadsheet. One of the pieces of information I wanted was the original price of each set to help determine the total value of my sets, not even thinking that I could find the current value of the set. When I came across this site it was like a dream come true. I could record everything and keep up with the changes in value. Thanks so much! I am actually on my fourth or fifth iteration of collecting/investing where I have bought and sold everything for one reason or another. The last time I sold everything was about a …

Hello folks in BrickPicker. I am new here and I am much older than seen on this photo. Actually it is not me, but my first son. Even he is older than on this picture now. But he is already infected by my addiction to Lego. In my Bio I have already described a little about my affinity to Lego and I think in future it will be even more. Yet I have to do a lot of study and my time for this is short. But not seeing me, not hearing me, not noticing me at all, doesn't mean I am not here. :-) Hav fun in building, best wishes:-)
