  2. I don't do a ton of bulk/parting out. I have about 15 lbs I have separated by color. Trying to figure out how to price them in color lots - I know bulk in general goes from $6-$8/lb depending on quality/type, but should I be pricing different colors higher? Follow up Q - would you bother separating every color out or no? As an example I have about 2 lbs of brown, but with some tan, light brown, etc, mixed in. I know stuff like sand green can go for higher, just not sure about others. Any thoughts from the bulk sellers out there appreciated!

I'm having trouble dealing with PayPal right now and any input is much appreciated. Last August I placed an order with a local toy retailer and my PayPal balance was instantly credited for the total amount. This particular order was eventually cancelled but the payment authorization was not, which lead to a month of going back and forth with customer service and PayPal, but it finally got cancelled. The problem is that a week has gone buy and my balance is still missing those ~250

yay or nay? They are "sponsored" links on Ebay for most lego searches. I had a $1200 order ready to click---they are verified paypal---but that doesn't mean much I found out. The phone number is no good...so I am going to pass. But if anyone else wants to risk it--let us know, Website has been live for 5 years--so it's not fly by night, and they are a paying advertiser on ebay. and their business account is linked to the correct paypal address.....so who know. I am going to pass---but man--this is really tempting.

My mate has made a purchase and the seller stated their location as UK. He paid and estimated delivery date is 29th Dec. He tried contacting the seller but no response. Checking on tracking brings him to the Japanese eBay site and an error message. Can someone advise of action to take and how long he has to cancel the order?

After reluctantly buying my very first Nexo Knights set (Christmas present for my son who seems to be into it), I figured others might have "Shame" purchases that they might want to fess up to. Sort of the AA thread of BP. Not to be confused with the "Buyers Remorse" thread - these are purchases you willingly made for "good" purposes. Anyways, my name is Phil B. and I purchased a 70321 General Magmar's Siege Machine of Doom from Jet.com today. The good news - I got it at 51% off using the EXTRA20 coupon after bundling it with a smaller set for my BL store.

Hi all, I've bought another used lot of lego and after sorting it all and putting the minifigures together, I went about figuring out what sets they came from. Now I've got a long list of lego sets to put back together, but the problem is that these are all older sets (think 1990's-2002) and the manuals didn't have an inventory list at the end of them. Do you know of a good website that provides a 'printable' list of inventory pieces? I'm currently just using toysperiod, but I can't print it or else it would be 15 pages alone for each sets' inventory!! Not actually sure this exists, but it would sure be a huge time saver!

Is anyone using their own Python webscraping to look for online deals? I was thinking of paying someone to build something for me. The paid versions I think are geared towards the developers making the most money possible, and not so much about you finding all the deals - plus they scrape so much so often, that they probably have to scrape less often than an individual would to keep them from getting banned. I would love to hear someone's thoughts or experiences. I'm also open to collaboration.

I just got in an order from FAO Schwarz for 22 Grand Emporiums. Upon pulling them out of the LEGO boxes (2 per box), I feel like 15 of the 22 are not acceptable. They either have crushed corners, large creases in the box (random places), or even small incisions. Am I being too picky? What is your standard? Normally, the actual set box itself holds up quite well when shipped in LEGO boxes, but these didn't. I am on the phone with FAO now to get the damaged items exchanged, but what a hassle. How do you handle this personally?

  11. Corona boredom is setting in and I thought I’d post some current sold eBay prices. Here is a range of sold prices on numerous sets. I will continue to add to this list over time. I'm starting with big sets, as I find them the most fun! (US ONLY) Recent Sold Prices eBay*** ***All prices are trending towards the higher amounts. I tried to leave off outliers large and small. LARGE SETS: Ninjago City 70620 – $300 - $500 – 19 available. Ninjago City Docks 70657 – $309 – $339 – 10 available. Jokers Manor 70922 – $450 - $500 - - 9 available. Silent Mary 71042 – $229 - $…

Hi All, Can we post sets we are interested in selling on this site? I have a few sets from my childhood I want to sell so I can get into the newer sets but it looks like my earlier post got deleted with no instructions. Just looking for some guidance here. Thanks

  13. Newbie Here, I've looked at the Bricklink marketplace and have a few questions regarding how pricing is determined. Being in the US I notice that there are a lot of re-sellers in a wide variety of locations (Asia, Europe, Australia along with the US). Question... In your brick stores, do you see most of your customers being local, your regional geographic area (Europe, North America, Asia), or is it random? Reason I ask is that I see many of the US sellers with slightly higher prices compared to Europe and Asian stores. This is a generality, based upon the sets I looked up, not individual pieces. Thanks for your feedback

  15. Recently, I bought a ucs set from a seller on ebay. It cost me almost 500 dollars. He shipped it usps priority mail with a tracking number, which i checked twice a day, of course. Everything looked good until it said out for delivery, and i waited, and it never arrived, and then it said package delivered. Well, long story short, the idiot mailman delivered it to the wrong address. My neighbor is an honest and decent fellow, so he brought it to me. Two days after the usps claimed i received it on my front porch. Now, what happens next time they screw up, and my other neighbor decides to keep my lego set? Is the seller going to refund my money? Is the usps going to reimburs…

  16. So I have been doing this gig for a few months now and everything is going pretty well. However, I have ran into a few instances as I have sold more and more items, of people who just blatantly didn't read a listing, or somehow don't understand a minifigure doesn't come with a "box" (yeah I got neutral feedback for that one). So in general, how do you all deal with this? How does Ebay? I have a current one where someone bought the 4 headed dragon from 9450 from me. I have sold 9 without an issue. This person just sent me an email asking where the rest of the set was. My listing's title says its the parts and instructions for the dragon only, nothing else…

  17. Do they always ship the sets by themselves without a shipping box? I have read a number of horrible stories here and wonder if there are any positive incidents. Bought 2 tower bridges with the current $40 GC promotion and certainly hope I don't learn the lesson the hard way. I mean, they cannot always be that retarded, can they?

  18. Hi everyone--Happy Memorial Day! I hope that you don't think this to be a silly question. But since I am looking to start to sell used Lego on line, I am wondering if it is necessary for me to have some kind of insurance in case anything happens to someone who buys from me (small child choking etc..). I know it may sound silly, but you never know. Can anybody tell me what their thoughts are on something like this? Thank you

Two quick questions that I'm hoping someone could give their opinion on. I've purchased a set off of Amazon Warehouse that I intend to resell (usually I use warehouse for my own builds). For once, this set shows no sign of having popped seals (just a very very damaged box). The box has a large sticker on it saying that it was "Amazon Warehouse Inspected". Anyone know if that means I can assume it was opened up? Second question, since I'll probably open this box up to verify the bags inside are all there, how would you mark this if listing it? I'd lean towards NEW because the Lego pieces are sealed up and never assembled. However, definitions for NEW oft…

  20. Hi all, first time poster and new to this forum so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place... I've recently pulled down a bunch of my LEGO sets from childhood as I've got a young child myself now, and thinking about selling some of the bigger sets which I understand are worth quite a bit of money now. I've got a Skulls Eye Schooner (complete) and an Imperial Trading Post (6277-1), which is MOSTLY complete with the exception of one minifigure - the Imperial Guard Admiral (Admiral Woodhouse). I understand this is a rare part, so any advice on how this would effect resale value? One qualifying factor is that I DO have a Governor Broadside minifigure from th…

This has been an extremely informative site. I have decided to try my hand at investing in a few lego sets as it seems like a fun hobby to help fund a personal collection. I found LoTR Weathertop on clearance for $20 each at my local Walmart and bought a few. I also picked up a Hulk Breakout for $35. I bought a few others but these are the main ones I have a question about. At what point is it a good idea to sell? I realize no one may no the perfect time as sets go up and down, but I would like to hear your opinions. The average price listed on this site now for either of those sets are over $50 so I could already try to make a profit, but should I expect prices to …

  22. I received an email from a person via my BL store. Person wanted a shipping quote on one set. I gave the quote. Then they came back and said apparently my store states I won't ship to North Carolina, they copied and pasted a note that the person was getting message "Seller does not support orders shipping to North Carolina." I checked my settings, and didn't see anything that would reflect that, and I'd just made other sales within the US. So we agreed to pay outside the website store (via Paypal invoice) and then I'd ship the order. And again the person stated that my store states that I don't ship to any US state. {Note: I haven't received any orders over the w…

Does anybody here sell on Bricklink by any chance? I have considered doing it, but it just seems like a lot of work with little or no payout. If anyone is doing it or has done it, I would be grateful to hear about your experiences. Thanks!

Well the time has come to sell my grand collection of classic space sets and some castle. Sets range from 1979-1992. Close to all sets have the boxes and instructions and are complete. Lightly played during that time and has been boxed up for 20+ years. These sets meant the world to me and as any brick collector knows, very difficult to part with, especially my Blacktron sets I have been putting them on this sites estimator, and have been impressed with values these sets have established for themselves. I am going through all the sets to verify that all their parts are there, so far all complete. So far i have come across duplicate sets with out boxes, …

  25. Started by boomzoom,

I have been selling CMF as a complete set. New and sealed. I am very good at feeling the package and identify them. I have not had an issue selling them as a set before until today. Someone opened a case (after 40 days of the sale) on eBay saying I sent him a duplicate minifig (one of not much value) and missed another one (which currently worth at least $15 by itself). I am going to take it as a loss. But that got me to think maybe I should not sell the minifig as sealed any more for my own protection. Have any of you have issues before? Thanks.
