60107 Fire Ladder Truck - released Jan 2016 - 214 pcs, 2 minifigs, including a female firefighter. RRP US$24.99. Now (Sep 2016) discounted to $13.43 on Amazon.com (46% off). So is this the next fire truck to retire in 1 year, and triple in value the next? (ref 60061 Airport Firetruck). I'm lookin' at you exciter1 ... stocking up?... or ignoring this run-of-the-mill little fire truck?

Is the 60061 Airport Firetruck on its way out? Or is it such a good seller? I haven't seen it anywhere. Not even at SaH. I really like it. So I would like to have one for myself at least.

Need some advise please. This is a set that 4 of the kids on my list want. Does anyone think the price will be reduced before Christmas (other than then 2 or 3 bucks from Amazon)? Does anyone think it will be unavailable by Christmas? Any advise would be appreciated.

With the recent Shopko and Wal-Mart clearance on this set I thought I would start a topic to discuss it's investment potential. These days if a set isn't Star Wars or an exclusive then it doesn't seem to garner much interest. A lot of us have learned that completely overlooking the small to medium sized sets from less popular themes can be a huge mistake. This set is one that I feel deserves some attention. The City theme can be a tough theme to predict "winners". Police and Fire sub themes tend to be rehashed every other year. Did Lego make a huge price increase on its 2016 sets? I was at ToysRUs today and saw this set for $70 CAD!! Now I know the weak Canadian dollar is a contributor... but $65 for only 376 pieces!!! That's getting insane!! Prisoner Island at $120 CAD for 754 pieces! If license fee was involved then I understand, but for unlicensed product, this is starting to get expensive and ultimately leads to the bubble thread on this forum.

Haven't seen a thread on this set yet and I wanted to share some thoughts about it. This was the first set I bought for investment purposes and I think it has great potential. First off this set is horribly mislabeled. I don't know what exactly a heliplane is but most of these aircraft are actually called tiltrotors or VTOL (Verticle take off and landing) aircraft. I think this set has a lot of potential due to it's uniqueness. Its one of two tiltrotor sets that lego has made (the other being twinblade adventures 3:1) and is by far the nicest one. (I guess having its own topic would be more simple) Do you think guys the Arctic City theme will last for a while (let's say up to 2016) or could it stop this summer ? I can have a deal on arctic base (about 36% off) so I wonder if it could be a good choice if the theme stops this summer (to resell on Xmas 2015). I'm sure it's a good investment but I would like to invest elsewhere if it'll stay available for one more year. Thanks
