I just got an email from Chapters/Indigo stating 20% off classic and some city sets. I just wanted to point out that some of the classic buckets are already at a great price compared to the US, and with another 20% off are that much better. e.***. 10698 : 59.99 USD / 59.99 CAD on sale for 47.96. that is if there is any stock in these stores left to buy. my location barely stocks a few dozen sets at a time. http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/march-break/lego/march-brick-break/city-classic/?ref=shop%3ahome%3ahome-main%3aa1-lego-city-classic%3aa1

  2. You can pre-order the, The LEGO Movie 3D (Everything is Awesome Edition) [blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + UltraViolet + LEGO Figurine] for $29.97 right now. MSRP $49.99 Not sure how well the Lego figure will perform, but it seems like an exclusive. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00ID1CEU2/ref=s9_simh_gw_p74_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0PF3SJRGJX877YPJ6E00&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1687860482&pf_rd_i=915398

  3. At my local Superstore (Loblaws), they had Lego Movie Batmobile (70905) on clearance for $52.44 and The Riddler Riddle Racer (70903) for $27.88 - both ~30% off with multiple copies available. I left them there but was tempted... If they have another weekend "no tax"event soon, it might make it worthwhile, but still borderline...thoughts anyone?

Longtime readers will know of my usual contempt for this Toronto chain which seems to price all of their lego and many other toys "on sale" at 20% above the MSRP. However they just did me a huge solid today so I figured I owed them a shout out. I missed out on the Disney minifigs (apart from 3) and still needed 4 Simpsons minifigs. The location near my office still had a number of these series left at $6.99 CDN each so I normally would pass on taking a chance but just happened to ask the desk jockey if he was any good at smooshing. Turns out they have already pre-smooshed and actually printed labels on the back of each of them identifying which figure it is! So I now have…

Many stores have 30% off sets. Also, until December 21, you can get 4% in points with any purchase type, or 8% if you have a CT card. Wide range of sets are available and a couple were already below MSRP so it worked out to 45% off (based on 4% points). Yay LEGO!

  6. I have a premium store account where I 'tried' to migrate my .CA account to a .COM account mainly so I can continue listing in USD like I always have done (back in May). Well ever since I can't relist my expired store listing without getting an error saying they have to be converted back to CDN. Also the bulk uploader apparently does not work on eBay.com anymore! No bulk loading is not cool since I relist monthly over 500 items. Called eBay today and they said nothing they can do and many Canadian sellers are affected. I'm being charged USD fees from ebay.com but getting none of the benefits as a eBay.com store seller. They also can't revert my store account back to …

  7. Hi all Well since our Canadian deals have been rather slow lately (as opposed to our friends to the south) Chapters has thrown us a small bone. Using the code 'WeLoveDad' you get 25% off 1 item. Note this does not apply to Lego Friends (was going to grab a DC) Went with a Cinderella Castle likely to be used for Christmas for my daughter. Enjoy

  8. If you are a big time airmiles collector like myself then you might want to consider a few LEGO sets that came up in the airmiles rewards. There are 3 sets and it seems quite rare that you can get LEGO direct through airmiles: Ariel's Magical Kiss- 700 airmiles Metalbeard's duel- 750 airmiles Kingdom's Joust- 1600 airmiles Best bang for the buck by far is the Kingdom's Joust when you consider 95 airmiles is about $10CDN so 1600 for the Joust is about right. 700 and 750 for the other 2 sets is a pretty inflated price.... I have enough airmiles for almost 5 Jousts so I think I will pull the trigger

My father-in-law knows I love Lego and was cruising the Target at Westmount Mall in London, ON. He came across 50% off Attack of the Wargs and Shelob Attacks, which is basically what TRU.ca had as their Black Friday sale (although they backordered me and never delivered the actual sets). Anyway, I was at the Windsor location yesterday and they didn't have these on the shelves at all, and my father-in-law bought the three Wargs in London, but for those of you not in these cities, might be worth a stop at Target on the way home from work. I also think one of the bigger Creator Sets was 50% off, but he couldn't recall the name of it. Happy hunting!

Found another decent deal. Not crazy hot but will save you a few bucks if you want certain sets. You can take $20 off your $100+ purchase when you use promo code 941612369, or you can take $50 off your purchase of $200+ when you use promo code 941612370. This deal becomes good when you stack on top of current 20% off sets. Some decent SW (and City) sets on sale currently at 20% off include the following so buy multiples and stack the $20 or $50 promo code. Mandalorian battle pack Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Troopers battle pack Duel On Genonosis City Garbage Truck City Starter Set etc etc...more I'm too lazy to list haha. Again, from my experience mak…

  12. I was working REALLY hard at work, looking up all things Lego, and learned that tickets are now available for purchase from Ticketmaster for the 2017 Vancouver Brick-Can at River Rock. Tickets are $18 each plus processing and I wanted to give a heads up to the "locals" because tickets quickly sold out last year. http://www.brickcan.com/event/public-exhibition

For those that can't/don't/won't go through some of the hassles of getting international deals in Canada, Walmart.ca has eight sets in stock on clearance. Nothing really to write home about, but if you are hesitant to order from Amazon.co.uk and rarely/never cross the border to get US deals, this might interest you. Most of these 'clearance' prices bring them around US MSRP.

*edit* Like a dummy I didn't put the set name in the title. Pirate Ship Ambush. I'm fairly certain that this guy is done and not coming back, however futureshop seems to have stock right now for 99.99$ (30$ off ). I'm on investment lock down for the time being so I have to pass, but I like this one, own this one, and believe it is one of the two or three LOTR sets that could make money So have-at for any of ya'll interested. FS also has a few other sets on sale, but nothing as significant as this one.

I've noticed several times now over the last month or more that LEGO has specifcally highlghted as an exclusive from their sales. Latest example was an email I got today for 20% toys. Sure enough, LEGO excluded. It never used to be excluded from sales, from my recollection.

20% off select CITY, Galaxy Squad and Ninjago. 30 bonus Airmiles when you spend $30 or more on Lego Friends Free Chima Gorzan Walker minifigure (4.99 value) with any Chima purchase of 30 or more. So in essence, nothing! Only thing worth noting is on Sat. June 7th at 11am there is a sail boat make ******'take. So if you've got kids, or just grab one from the mall, you can get a nice mini build set for free lol. Min. 100 per store.

Was just at the main store across from the Eaton Centre looking for Star Wars black series figures and was surprised to see they had a mix of the new Star Wars and superheroes lego sets available. I doubt this is a sign of much as the other 2 locations down here I went to didn't have any, and there wasn't even a discount available for EB Games Edge members, but keep your eyes peeled. When God shuts a Sears window, he opens an EB door.

  22. Just got my weekly PC Plus (ie Loblaws) email with special offers and for every $40 you spend on toys, you get 16,000 points, which is equal to $16. That's 40% off. The last time they did this deal it was only 8,000 points and I happened to get 7 Wolverine Choppers on discount for $7 total.

Since I know many of you need good boxes to ship your sets, I have a large pile of quality boxes (mostly LEGO Shop at Home) of all sizes ready for pickup by anyone in the region of Montreal. I used to stockpile boxes for gravtation, but I believe I may have already flooded his stock, his reserve and the backup. And my apologies if the post is somewhat off-topic. The boxes (100+) need to go this week. Thank you!

FYI. Yesterday ran into a TRU in Montreal and surprised to find they have 2 79018 The Lonely Mountain on shelf, which should start to be available to VIPs on Oct. 15. Didn't check with clerks whether could check out with them, but seems they are just there for buyers to pick up. TRU does not put this on their website, so there is no clue that you can find this in store. For those who want this ASAP, a visit to your local TRU store might be worthy.
