No idea what forum to post this in (or even if im allowed to given its on a topic of a different brick review media) and I cant seem to find an answer to my question here already. Whats the general opinion on the Brick Show (the youtube guys)? Personally I really like watching there reviews. When looking at sets I want one of the first places I check out is there review. Wondered if they're universally "loved" as much as I think they should be? Or do people not really pay much attention to them so its just each unto their own? Also given they're massive 1989 batman fans as well that a definite plus in my book and they actually come across really well as people to…

Here's a fun little game. How many retail locations are located in your immediate area? You define it however you want to, but my thinking is, where do you go to buy Lego on a regular basis? Not a road trip, but, if you're heading out from work, or heading home, what stores can you easily get to? For example, I live about 40 minutes north of the nearest Lego store, so I don't consider it in my immediate area. I wouldn't throw Walgreens or any other place that you hit once in a blue moon. But, Target, TRU, B&N, Fry's, Meijer or any other retail location you can think of. Here's my breakdown: B&N: 3 Walmart: 8 TRU: 3 Target: 8 Fry's: 1 Legoland: 1 (LL Californ…

Greetings Was recently gifted these different types of bricks and they have these structures. They're called laser pegs. Just looking for opinions on them and if anyone has a cool idea to mix them up with some lego set. They attach to lego just as well. Cheers

http://brickfanatics.co.uk/fire-at-legoland-malaysia/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+brickfanatics+(Brick+Fanatics) The official statement seems to be "a minor fire". While I agree that in proportion to the whole park that might be true, I still wouldn't it consider 'minor' after seeing the picture.

Filming for the 2016 Batman/superhero movie is well underway in Toronto, Canada. Jared Leto as Joker. The downtown area, Yonge Street in particular is busy with crash scenes. Here's a picture (source by Paul Hillier on twitter & TorontoStar) apparently of the Joker-mobile - cool. Wait and see if Lego makes this car in a set.

So we're having a Lego Birthday Party for my son's 6th birthday next month. We've come up with some games and activities, and I wanted to run it by you guys to see if anyone had other ideas that might be fun. This could be a good reference source as well, I know a number of you also have young kids! 1. Lego Scavenger Hunt- I'll hide a bunch of bricks and other pieces around our back yard, and the kids can hunt for them until they are all found. 2. Lego Relay Race- The kids will split into two teams, and have to move as many bricks from one bucket to another using only a spoon, and then using a straw to hold a brick with suction and move it from one side to the other. 3.…

Time for a 2015 Comic Con thread. Suppose I should have posted this earlier as a place for news, both Lego and non-Lego. There's been ton of news, so I'll try to get things consolidated here. Please feel free to post things that i miss. There's the SW Lego reveals coming on Saturday. Until then, this the first big piece of news: LEGO Scooby-Doo and LEGO Idea The Big Bang Theory (21302) available at SDCC 2015 I will be there Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. I will take some photos. I'm sure there will be plenty online as well. But I'll let you know what I see, and what I might be able to pick up.

Having been to Japan recently I took some of my LEGO Star Wars Minifigs with me as lucky charms ;-) Of course we took some pictures! Maybe some of you like the idea so I'm sharing it here. Maybe you got your own pictures to post here as well!

I would love to get some feedback from those of you who are parents and also invest in Lego products. My son, who is 5, is Lego-obsessed. He got his first set a little more than a year ago and he has a ton more now, mostly polybags, minifigs and smaller City, Creator, Lego Movie, and Star Wars sets under $50 RRP. He is now asking for larger, more expensive sets and I want to start stocking up for Christmas. My question is, do you apply the same criteria towards buying for your kids - clearance deals, TRUTH/TRU coupons, using VIP points, etc. - as you do for investing? Or do you just say, I'm going to get them what they want and not worry as much about getting the lowest p…

I'm not sure about anyone else, but the thought of a Despicable Me theme crossed my mind. I really love the movies and watched the first one the other day. I think it would certainly be different to say the least. But LEGO Minions! What could be any better?? Thoughts??

Hello everyone- Just wanting to find out from those based in the US who have sent subscription to the Bricks and Bricks Culture magazines, if you already received Issue #1? It's been almost two months since I paid and I still have to receive anything in the mail. All I got a few weeks back was an e-mail on how to access it electronically. I see that Issue #2 is soon to be out. Any info is appreciated. Thank you.

New Elementary posted a link on their facebook page to a huge update of new parts which were recently added to the Brickset database. This includes completely new elements, and existing elements in new colors.LINK: http://brickset.com/parts/new-03-06-2015I also did some analysis to see which parts are most interesting for fellow LEGO Architecture enthusiasts, especially folks like myself who enjoy the LEGO Architecture Studio set.I hope you find the new bricks interesting; I know I did. I'm especially interested in the new transparent plate with pin, which has a lot of potential uses.---tom
